Journalism? Most of the videos Harris does these days are just ads for the cars he's selling on his website. A "review" isn't journalism. Don't get me wrong - they're great, but they're ads. This video, while great, is an ad for his mate Richard Tuthill.

Does this have a modern ECU and ignition? Very cool build, just scratching my head at the power figure on a four valve head as there are other builds of 4-4.2l air cooled that have put down high 3xx’s whp. Those builds credited modern ecus and ignition for unlocking a lot of power. These 2valve builds had ported or aftermarket “xtreme” cylinder heads that are purported to flow similar to these 4 valve heads on the intake side, but comparatively be a bit restricted on the exhaust side.

Amazing. Curious as to why they set the rev limit relatively low at 8k rpm. With the 130mm rods and 80.4mm crank, you should be able to safely rev to 8600-8800rpm, similar to 997.2 GT3 RS4.0.
