Please please dear god, production team, take note, use this Chris Harris, the real Chris, the Chris who has extensive knowledge on every detail of most cars! The Chris who hill give an honest opinion and review of a car or manufacturer! The Chris who can drive the wheels off a car whilst relaying back exactly what he's feeling, explaining why it's doing it and how to make it better! Stop making him do these bullshit adventure episodes, giving him a script and trying to make him a comedy act, let the clowns be the clowns and let the talent be the talent! Chris Harris speaking honestly and with sincerity is a welcome change of pace to the "new" team dynamics on Top Gear. He knows his cars and their respective features and characteristics while his new co-presenters keep abusing him and display less than funny behaviour. I truly wish for the BBC to either stop the show or make up their mind where to go to next. The old format worked with the old 3 blokes (of whom 1 invented it) and not with just anybody scripted into stupidness...:-/

Just put Chris in charge and stop all the comedy nonsense, it was fine with Clarkson and Co but its old now, they have to accept that format is dead, make it technical and geeky again, let's talk about turbos and tyres and brakes. Watch any of Chris' pre Top Gear KZbin work and it's way beyond anything else out there. Where he drove the F40 and F50 hard, on the same day was perfection, can't be beaten.

It is really a shame. Toyota have simply spectacularly misunderstood their audience and the result is the situation we have now. Leaving aside all of the excellent points Chris has made, people who buy these cars do so because of their hearts and minds. No one NEEDS vehicles this expensive and powerful. You have to nail the story, the heart and soul of a car like this, and sadly - tragically, even - Toyota have ripped theirs out to control costs... What a shame indeed...

the Aston Martin Valyrie should have been called a Cosworth Rimac then dude and the Dallara Stradale should have been called a Ford Chris test drove the Dallara Stradale , never once mentioned that Dallara uses a Ford Eco Boost engine,Why ? @@BobMonkeypimp the car was co-developed by the two companies back in 2013 to develop a new chassis for them both. The engine was tested and altered by Toyota to fit their standards along with suspension and such to ensure reliability and rigidity. Once the chassis was completed tuning and other parts along with the body was done separately from their and the companies did not work together any longer. While many parts have BMW they were co-designed except for interior parts which Toyota opted to use since there current designs and tech were felt to not be up to par. These will obviously be all altered in the future and by the next year will prolly be 100% Toyota thanks to the boost given by BMW.

I personally like that they used BMW engine on supra. b58 is 20 years developed and massaged m50 from e36, definitely the best straight six on the marked that still meats all emission requirements and with bolt-on mods can make big power, the exterior is really good I like it, the biggest disappointment in my eyes is interior, just straight from 3 series with different programmed cluster and badges, Toyota did nothing to make it feel like Toyota. They could have done better, look at Rolls Royce it is basically 7 series BMW but every detail is changed and done Rolls Royce way.

I want to think that Toyota did not want to spend a lot of money to develop the new supra, and that is why Toyota partnered with BMW to develop this new platform and share the expenses, and that with extra money they are developing the successor of the 2JZ, I mean, I think It could be very expensive to develop everything at the same time and that Toyota is doing it in stages, well, I would like it to be that way

Very disappointed in Toyota, especially for those upset that their country's soul is not in this new supra! You wouldn't have a Corvette with a heart of a BMW. Nissan with a Jaguar engine etc... They should've done a new improved inline 6 with and without hybrid technology regardless of the emission crap!

How is the Cayman GTS or M2 comp in the same league as the Supra? UK pricing must be very strange. In Aus the Cayman is a massive $189k, the M2 comp $115k and the Supra a paltry $95k. Three cars, three completely different price brackets.

Lol 3:28 - "M2 Comp is head & shoulders beyond the Supra". Yet the Supra beat the M2 Comp around Laguna Seca and other tracks too, with Randy Pobst as a driver. And the new manual Supra is faster in many instances than the NEW M2, which is even more expensive, so...not really Chris.

I wish they brought the actual Toyota Supra. Not to hate but it's really a BMW Z4 coupe looking like it's on steroids, that is kind of the funny part. Just like how the Toyota GT86 is a really a rebadged Subaru in disguise. Nice cars though by the way. I guess modern car manufacturers want to try something new nothing wrong with that. I hope and pray it the modern Toyota Supra doesn't have any recalls.
