Chris Jones is the Ronnie Lott of the Chiefs. While Bill Walsh and the 49ers pioneered the infamous West Coast Offense, Lott terrorized opposing teams offenses and was often a more unsung hero. Just like Lott, Jones is a vital component of the Chiefs dynasty that cannot be overlooked despite a flashier and more popular offense.

Chris Jones will never be overlooked. It's him Bolton Pat and Kelce. Each piece is essential. Especially CJ. We've seen the Chiefs without him and its a different defense.

I remember him being hurt our first SB run playing against prime king Henry. He was out the first half cause of it, and we were getting smoked by Henry. He came in that second half and they didn’t get another yard up the gut. Such and underrated game by him.

If not for Aaron Donald, for whom arguments can be made that he is the best player ever at _any_ defensive position, Chris Jones would easily be the best defensive tackle of this era. It may not show up on the stat sheet all the time, but he is always getting into the pocket and disrupting plays, and often inducing cleanup sacks, fumbles, and the like for his fellow defensive players. Now he has become the anchor, mentor, and heart and soul of a ferocious defensive unit that helped drive the Chiefs towards the third title that prompts many to rightfully call them a dynasty. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer and will get his #95 retired by the Chiefs within the next 20 years.

I give Chris a lot of praise, but he is nowhere near the best DT ever. Off the top of my head there’s Mean Joe Greene, Warren Sapp, Aaron Donald, Merlin Olsen, Alan Page, and Randy White. All are greater than Jones all-time at DT. That’s no insult to Chris, many greats have come before him.

In his first or second season I bet my friend that he'd make at least two pro bowls. My friend said that he'd be a bust and make 0, now he's probably going to the HoF. My friend had one of the worst takes of all time.

My dad's favorite player. When he got drafted 2nd round, as soon as the Chiefs selected him, the guys at ESPN said: "Motor, motor, motor" I don't know how he slipped to the 2nd round, but we are glad to have him as part of the Kingdom. And he's just a nice dude too.

I do think that’s definitely part of it. I also think that the offensive players take some of the shine as well. He’s starting to become more well known, but you’re right, if he had an interesting name, people would likely mention him more often.

Chris Jones and the defense now have to replace Brown and Pacheco! I hope successful. Because my opinion is that the attack will get a little worse like last year and the defense has to compensate for the losses. Go Chiefs!!!

the stats dont even do him justice against the other greats. he is the most clutch defensive player of them all. 4th quarter in a SB . last play everything on the line. jones will sack the QB
