I’ve always avoided strictly. But I watched this series. This man is incredible and I wept buckets. This was beautiful and he and Dianne are off the scale remarkable. I can’t get my head around how hard it must be to learn to dance without being able to see. I’m in awe of him. What a joy.

Absolutely, if not even more so. Fair play to Rose dancing by only feeling the beat (something that Tasha who actually can hear, albeit with an implant, has tried to claim that she can only do) but dancing when you can't even see is on whole new different level, not to mention Dianne's exceptional talent as a partner to teach him where to put his feet and in which position and when and what to do with the rest of his body.

This was beautifully done to this song and a beautiful tribute to Gerry and the Pacemakers. It's was so emotional that I was in tears, it was a also a lovely tribute to Liverpool FC and the 96 who died at Hillsborough. I'm not a Strictly viewer and know very little about the art of dancing (I watch maybe one routine per series if it goes viral) but I have watched every one of Chris and Dianne's this year (thanks BBC KZbin!) and am astonished not only by his bravery to do something just miles out of his comfort zone and her amazing skill at teaching him some exceptionally difficult steps, but also the fact that despite the fact that he is completely dependent on her to know what he's doing and where he in the physical space, he is (or appears to be) leading the dance in the traditional way men are supposed to do. His confidence , and her willingness to lean into that confidence and allow it to grow are a sight to behold and while there may be more technically able dancers among the celebs this year, this is why they should win the series.

For me, dancing is the most beautiful when it brings out the best in people and is an expression of their beautiful qualities, as it is with Chris and Dianne.
