If course it makes a difference. Even if he didn't actually master it (or sounds mediocre in your opinion), there's an intimacy that one develops w/ activities that are congruent w/ age, meaning the earlier the connection, the more ingrained the bond, and that is irrespective of 'technique, chops, etc meaning he might not be Glen Gould or Keith Jarrett but he sure knows who to make music out of it... Meaning you dont' know jack shit and you sound like any other internet moron who is just trying to get a rise out of people on line, You're just a nobody joe blow w/ a mouse and a keyboard and nothing to show or to say musically speaking.
