I'm from Atlanta. What happened was the state didn't pay for ice preparation (and it never does...still doesn't)...salt trucks, etc, and the ice on the streets was so bad that it caused a bunch of car pile ups on the highway, and the police didn't do enough to take care of it either, so THOUSANDS OR MORE people were literally stuck on the highway in deadlocked traffic for 48-72 hours. People were abandoning cars and waiting so long they ran out of gas. It was apocalyptic. And that flight attendant story..the part where she says that to her boss sounds very likely, in my experience. Y'all have no idea how messy Atlanta is...from city government to businesses to people 🤣

Yea, I'm from New Hampshire and I can see why people who don't deal with snow on a regular bases would be scared to drive in it. Two inches will make it a bit scary, but so long as you aren't going over 35mph and slowing down by letting off the gas and very lightly tapping the brakes to take turns and stop, you should be fine. If you have a rear wheel drive car DO NOT ever go driving in the snow with it. You will be fishtailing the whole way. Next time it starts to snow go to the closes emptiest parking lot and try to get a feel for how your car handles in the snow. In DriverEd up here they specifically tell us to do this when we first get a chance..... Also doing donuts in the snow is wild, so next time you get the chance do it.

@Ghostcamel6 жыл бұрын
@@k_a_y_l_e_e Yea wind chill is always pretty bad, but its even more subjective than straight temp. A -20 wind chill is like what, 10 degrees? It can get down to -20 actual temperature with winds on top. Thats much more serious, and Chicago does experience that. Go a little farther north to Minnesota and Wisconsin, and -30 to -40 temp happens. At least, it did, global warming or weather patterns haven't dropped us that low in awhile.

@Amo-v275 жыл бұрын
The humidity isn't bad here, it's FL you have to worry about. It feels like you can drink the air, it sunshowers every 10 minutes, and it's usually 70F in the winter, or 80-100+F in the summer. I will take GA's bipolar weather patterns and dry air any day of the week over constant humid heat.

Yessssir, that sounds just like what someone would do and say to you at the Atlanta airport. I've lived here a year now and the customer service on the SW side of town (Camp Creek, Princeton Lakes, and Airport) is horrible. It's really sad that we treat our own people this way because if we went into an establishment with people of another race and they ignored or dismissed us, we'd be on the news hollering racism. However, not all areas of Atlanta are this way.
