The note he hits at 3:54 is just crazy. Chris can sound as raspy and soulful as anyone in history , then hit that crazy prince note at 3:54. There just aren’t supposed to be humans that can do this much musically. He is heaven sent. As someone in the comments sections already said, “game recognize game”. Couldn’t have said it better myself. One of the greatest artists ever born, being paid tribute to another one of the greatest artists ever born. I am so excited to see where Chris goes over the next 20 years. What a gift to music

Laura Heath I would say that is correct there's so many genres wrapped up and Chris Stapleton so just say and label him country would be inaccurate but having known the history of music country music gets its roots from Blues but Chris Stapleton is a mix of a lot of things and he can play and sing almost any genre but as you said they do like to label people in stick them in a certain box I guess for marketing reasons but he is a true definition of a musician and singer

@@penelopenorris9918CHECK OUT CHRIS STAPLETON'S TRIBUTE TO CHRIS CORNELL THE KEEPER. HE DID A SUPER JOB ON AN EXTREMELY HARD SONG TO DO WELL BUT AS USUAL HE NAILED IT.. I AM SURE CHRIS CORNELL WAS SMILING DOWN WITH APPROVAL. THE CHRIS CORNELL FANS SAID THAT IT WAS THE BEST TRIBUTE TO THEIR CHRIS BY FAR!!!!!!- CHRIS STAPLETON'S MUSICAL INFLUENCES ARE WIDE& VARIED FROM PRINCE BB KING LYNYRD SKYNYRD TOM PETTY THE BEATLES KEITH WHITLEY DOLLY PARTON WILLIE & WAYLON TO VINCE GILL & RICKY SKAGGS BACK AROUND TO. ARETHA. FRANKLIN & JAMES BROWN TOO!!!!! NOT TO MENTION. BOB DYLAN & ARLO GUTHRIE. SO YOU SEE HIS INFLUENCES SPANNED FROM R&B TO ROCK TO SOUTHERN ROCK TO COUNTRY TO BLUEGRASS TO SOUL & FOLK MUSIC TOO. HE HAS FANS ACROSS ALL THESE GENRES HERE IN THE US & ACROSS THE GLOBE MOST NOTABLY IRELAND & GREAT BRITAIN BUT ALSO CANADA BRAZIL AUSTRALIA FRANCE.GERMANY THE MIDDLE EAST & EVEN RUSSIA!!!!!! I BELIEVE HE HAS THE TALENT TO SING ALL THESE GENRES & GOSPEL TOO WITH A CHANCE TO BRIDGE THE GAPS BETWEEN ALL OF THEM HOPEFULLY CREATING BETTER MUSIC FOR ALL!!!!!! IF NOT IT'S PROBABLY NOT GONNA HAPPEN EVER OR AT LEAST NOT IN MY LIFETIME.

there was this time I walked into a random bar. Maybe 4, 5 people in there. After a while, I took out my cell and sent "Tennesse Whiskey" to the house jukebox, just so I could chill and enjoy my beer. This couple came out of nowhere (apparently, to me) and started slow-dancing, getting into the groove. I'm hard-pressed to find a moment in my life when I was happier than that to see that happen.
