The second advantage of drive rushing out is if the Ryu player delay throws you aren't in parry stance so you won't get punish countered

Thank you for this. Currently, I fully commitment because it’s hard to react to multiple options. I’ll even do it on offense like DRIVE RUSH - cr.lp - throw Because I assume the cr.lp will be blocked. But then it hits and I could’ve done a full combo for bigger damage. Will def work on this. Good work on the translation and making clean cut video for us. Keep up the good work as always Chris.

Thanks for the translation. Honestly, I feel like Moke would have won at least several tournaments by now if he played any of the top tiers. He is a very good player being held back by his loyalty to one character.
@Chris_FАй бұрын
In season 1 I would disagree but yeah Chun has a rough time against the top tiers right now. He’s too good to be a character loyalist
@lt_johnmcclaneАй бұрын
I’m glad players like Moke exist because it’d sure be boring to watch if everyone played the same characters
@JoeyCentralАй бұрын
@@lt_johnmcclane I mean that is what 80% of tournaments are: everyone playing the same characters because they are more interested in winning than being loyal to a character. That is why most season 1 Chun players like Leshar dropped her.

For the 1st drill, I hit forward first, then forward + parry, and try to have the timing of the forward + parry button be as if I'm trying to perfect parry on wakeup? then I"ll either perfect parry or drive rush depending on if they do a meaty or walk back?
@Chris_FАй бұрын
Yes you got it, that’s exactly it
@Flexium_GGАй бұрын
So delay tech/reversals beat strike/throw, parry Dr OS beat strike/shimmy… are there any option selects that beat throw/shimmy?
@jonnybiznessАй бұрын
Hey is drill 3 supposed to include another step like Do nothing? so if nothing then you throw. or just not include the throw with the vertical jump? otherwise throw OS AA wins
@Chris_FАй бұрын
You could do the throw OS but again, these aren’t my drills. I just recreated what Moke wrote on Twitter
@jonnybiznessАй бұрын
@Chris_F fair fair, I appreciate you doing it too honestly! Tyvm. Just trying to get the most out of it. I added a 4th step of "Do Nothing" and it made more sense to me 🤷♂️
