@GamerMasterlink
@GamerMasterlink 9 ай бұрын
@@bobgoddIt seems that the only solution for this easy setup is to actually have a PC as a TV box. It appears that for now, SignalRGB is Windows-only, so that would mean using software like Kodi or Stremio as a frontend library for your media. This narrows your options, as you'll need to buy a PC that can handle Windows 10, so that means no SBCs (well, there are SOME SBCs that work) for that purpose. I MIGHT try this, but Hyperion seems like the more budget-friendly option. I hope that they port the software to Linux, since that would open a world of opportunities!

Both dimmer and blurrier, I think this could be done adding a second smaller layout closer to the center, with the larger one being 100% light intensity and the smaller being 50/70% light intensity.

Chris, you're a legend man! I honestly can't thank you enough! I've been meaning to build one of those fancy setups using one of the products sold solely for that kind of setup however I reverted back from doing so considering spend priorities and necessities and whatnot, however this gives me exactly what I'd like to have completely for free except with the limitation of devices to have the setup run on being a pc software rather than hardware that can be connected to other HDMI devices like a gaming console. I'm still very happy to have that setup for pc only and am quite surprised if I'm being honest to have such precise configuration and accurate results with just software! I thought it's possible but didn't expect it to be available that soon yet alone for free! Thanks so much, Chris. You really are one of my top go-to guys when it comes to ambient lighting and décor ❤ Keep up the great work! 👏👏

Would I be allowed to plug my projector to my receiver and have the output be the PC? 3. This will not work with the Nvidia shield pro correct? 4. separate project, Does WLED support 150ft of LEDS? I groaned when you said SignalLED because I've have so much trouble with it- but really the trouble I've had is not SignalLEDs fault, its manufacturers that don't follow their own standards very well, and make hardware that doesn't work right when SignalLED tries to talk to it. I think the secret to using SignalLED is to find online proof of any hardware actually working before you buy it. :O

Thanks for watching! Have you tried the WLED integration?! Nice thing is since its using WLED to talk to the lights, its not dependent on any specific hardware. It would've been interesting to know what power supply you using and the wiring of that. None the less very nice video, keep it up!

Using the diffusers on the edge of the display makes the concept a lot simpler for me

i think the lights being attached to the wall around the screen makes it a bit worse as it ends up having hotspots on the wall instead of a gradient, or maybe its just more noticeable on camera. A little tweaking with the reactivity settings will do wonders

Thanks for watching! I debated with moving the alr screen out from the wall a couple inches to put the lights behind, but doing it the way I did allowed for the accuracy to really be shown during the mapping process which I really wanted to make known. Its definitely a unique look that I imagine some people will like and some wont but I will want to at some point try the more traditional behind the tv option as well!

This looks so cool! I bought everything and just as I'm setting it up, I realize that Signal RGB software is HEAVY on my laptop which is no slouch but still gets hot and fans are working hard and noisy... And I havent even configured my LED's to it yet.

I am a big fan of your videos! I have watched, each and every video. Keep going mate! Love the setup but I feel that it's a bit too accurate which sometimes cancels out the immersion.

Thanks so much for the support buddy! Distance will be your friend. Having the lights further away from the wall will help blend the lights if this type of style is a little too jumpy.

SignalRGB is the best program ever created... I swear. I love being able to sync my entire setup’s RGB all together. The best part is that they have compatibility for Govee, Phillips, and many other brands so you can sync up your entire room or simply create your own projects. I made my PC ambilight with an esp32 and some LEDS behind my monitor, and it works like a charm in SignalRGB. Oh, don’t forget their Audio Visualizers… it converts your entire room into a light show with the sound coming from your PC’s audio too lol.

Oh man I want to see how this integrates with Govee now! I wonder if there is a way to make my Govee more accurate and use more lights.

Make a deeper dive 💪🏽 also a govee sync would be cool maybe sync the ceiling lights. The ceiling ones look epic when playing a dark lightening storm on the screen.
