Best tie-down procedure I've seen so far. I've used the candy land steering bar tiedowns for years just can't be stupid and ratchet them down so tight. The 2018+ has a nice place to ratchet down in front by the steering head housing and doesn't compress the suspension love that and works excellent. That's for the video Chris.

Thanks for the compliment, here’s an option to consider if you have a 2018+ Goldwing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z53Im4OjjNGeh7csi=2DOHNYTnmQeHXSlr

This is NOT a good way to strap on goldwings older than 2018. It WILL BREAK THE FRAME on 2017 and older. Never strap the engine guards. Even honda recommends NOT strapping to the engine guards. I have broken a frame strapping there and it's extremely expensive to fix

Nice detailed demonstration Chris. News you can use. Only here on the Caliente Garage series. Big Sexy always looking naughty.

I’d rather ride my Goldwing 99% of the time but sometimes it’s necessary to haul it.

@@chriscaliente5033 No question about that. And smart! Even though the organic rawness of motorcycling is about dealing with weather. There are times due to seasons that you can determine from weather channels that indicate patterns and trends. Most of the time pretty darn spot on. With technology we can ride smarter not harder if we choose. Look at all those be motorcycle Rally’s you can go to and not deal with unpredictable conditions. Look some peeps like to camp while others like to rent a room with running hot water, etc. No explanation necessary my brother Bugatti Caliente.

I enjoy your videos. Having not being able to ride for a while because of blood clots , I ride along by watching your videos. I was wondering do you sell the Caliente vest because I would like to purchase one. Keep the videos coming!!!

Never, ever, EVER use the engine guards as a tie down point. It even says so in the user guide! Slip your soft tie loops over the triple tree on each of the front forks and tie them forward add slightly to each side, compressing the forks about 50% by incrementally tightening each side. That's it. The rest of the bike doesn't need to be strapped at all, but if you want to, slip a strap through the back tire and tie it backwards.

Everyone wants to be a subject matter expert but I speak from years of experience. I’ve hauled Goldwings for years and never had any issues as demonstrated in my videos. There are several mounting points for a Big Goldwing that are a good alternative like the rear passenger grab rails if you do not have a wheel chock but putting tension on the front forks, forks seals or downward on the handlebars are not techniques I recommend. The most important factor is buying the proper front wheel chock like Condor that locks the Goldwing upright into place with no kick stand assistance. The straps are just stationary secure points. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIbSdmaqZrOsrsksi=WZVhxKZY06N1zefs

@@chriscaliente5033 I personally am one person that broke off the crash bars at 2 different times on my Goldwing. Those mounts are really flimsy. That is my experience

Hey you Need to delete this video. You have a lawsuit waiting to happen. Never ever strap on the engine guard. It is bolted to a piece of cast aluminum that WILL break. And it is very expensive to fix. I know from experience strapping this way. And honda also will never recommend scraping there. Honda recommends removing side panels and strapping to the frame under the seat and a strap through each wheel. What you are doing in your video is an extremely bad idea. I do agree with never hooking to the handlebars also
