Buying my trailer was the BEST thing I have done for my garage and "Black Flash the Goldwing", I know you will enjoy your new trailer as well. I absolutely love it, my brother!

@@chriscaliente5033 Sorry to ask, HOW LONG is this trailer?
@kyleromanco56565 жыл бұрын
Just a fair warning the wood on the floor is called OSB, or particle board. You can seal the top all you want but look underneath the trailer and you will see it’s exposed. If you tow when it’s wet, eventually it will rot out and you have to replace the floor. I learned the hard way. You might as well buy some spray on bed liner and spray the bottom as well as you can. Love the inside though looks great. I’m definitely going to do the same on my next trailer.

I applaud your patience... I just dumped paint on the floor, moved it with a long roller, then sprinkled chips on it... was super quick and easy. It’s gonna get messed up anyways by motorcycles so doesn’t have to be perfect

That looks sharp. I have a 7 x 16 enclosed that I have been slowly getting the items I need to turn it into a dual purpose trailer. Once all the thru wall pieces are in place and it is buttoned up with the insulation and wood work, I will definitely be sealing it up as you have done. I will be going with the tan color to keep with a color theme I am going for. Not an interior designer, a little color coordination goes a long ways.

Good choice putting epoxy for your floor. It will reinforce the particle board and with no outgassing it is a much better choice than vinyl if you will ever be sleeping it. Looks really good too.

Just did my 8.5’ x24’ enclosed trailer with Rocksolid 2.5 kit. One pouch was not enough for the first coat. Ended up using a small potion of the second pouch and throwing the remainder away. Purchasing a one car kit in hope of it covering more now that a base coat is already applied.

Beautiful job! If it's for the Gold Wing,you will need tie downs. It's up to you as to whether to put them in the floor, or in the walls. If the walls don't flex too much, that would be a good place to secure the bike. You would have to put the rings at points where the trailer frame is. Nice job overall.

Excellent - congrats on a fine job! Living in Michigan I keep my Goldwing in it year round! It frees up garage space & provides bike stuff storage space & when winter snow blows I can safely travel to Florida. It also eliminates mice problems & dampness. I have a 14'x6' Vee-nose Stealth all aluminum trailer (6' wide discontined) with Condor - SC2000 - Motorcycle Wheel Chocks/Simple Chock & floor tie downs. Be careful where you locate the Wheel Chock as my dealer brought it too far forward & I had to relocate it 119" from the door to the front side of the Chock - giving me 14 1/4" between the rear door & rear of GL1800. I wired a 120 volt pass-thru beside the side door to power a battery charger & rubber warming mat under the GL1800 all on timers. Thinking off adding a clothing bar to hang coats on in the future? I have hydraulic landing gear which really helps when backing down off the trailer - made by Retract-a-Trike from Trike Alternatives, LLC (since gone out of business. I am in & out of this trailer with no problems! I did add a pair drop down jacks under the rear of this trailer for when its not hitched to my pickup. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIacnHt3Zs5qgdE

how long this this last??? i really want to know because i know using epoxy paint, especially one that is meant for concrete is a big NO, i thought about doing this but im afraid it will crack, chip and peal.
@BACK40ADVENTURE4 жыл бұрын
SURTO FAK So I did the epoxy floor on my brand new trailer following this video. I believe the wood in my trailer had not cured or dried out completely or it was a bad batch of epoxy. After 4 days my flooring was still tacky after applying. Weather temps were within the temps. I applied a urethane coating and within a day it was finally dry. I don’t recommend this product. It scratches quite easily with heavier equipment if your using it for that. If I was to do it over again I would use a rubber mat material. Depending on what your using this for it could be nice. I use mine as a toy hauler.

Lock and Loaded sometimes wives don’t want to be on the back of motorcycles for an extended period of time, it’s good when you can offer them a more comfortable alternative and still take your bike with you, a happy wife now equals a more happier husband later if you know what I mean.

Wow! Nice job! However, you forget to mention that you MUST have adequate ventilation when applying epoxy in a confined area, or you end up in your local emergency room.
