I lost my dad when I was 12; I am 73 now. It has definitely been a journey. At first very difficult, but time helps and also understanding the stages of grief is beveficial. Took me many years to rise above the hurt, pain & bitterness. I got stuck in anger for many years, and that's where the bitterness came from. Through out this journery I learned that grief is selfish. We are so consumed with missing our loved one that we forget they are in a better place. If they were sick, they are now healed; if they had mental issues, they are now healed; if they had addiction issues, they are now healed. Grief is normal, but difficult and has no time limit. My advice is to learn the stages of grief and don't get stuck in any stage except acceptance.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on grief. I lost my dad in 2016 and I was 28 then. Now I’m 35 and still grieving as if the wounds are still so fresh. It’s so hard to get over this grief. 😞

This song was written and recorded by James Blunt as a final tribute to his dad who was dying of stage 4 kidney disease. They couldn’t find a match and he didn’t have long to live. After the video came out, a distant cousin in another country saw it and went to be tested. He was a match. Because of James writing and recording this song, his dad lived. Check it out. There’s a video of him and his dad is in it.

I lost my dad in 2018. He had a stroke in his sleep and passed away, asleep in the living room. His doctor said he passed away peacefully, but in the back of my mind, I always thought maybe he called out for help, but no one could hear here him. It still haunts me til this day, along with guilt and grief. Also, I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. 💜

What a wonderful song. I has lost several close family. And each one was a different grief process. But my husband took his own life. And suicide side is endless grief. Then 4 years ago my brother took his life. I’ve lost a baby that only live 1 1/2 hours, both my parents,my husband, and brother. And you grieve a different way. And I still thing of them daily, in some form or another.. grief is deep.

This young man is an amazing singer. He had me in tears when he started to talk about his Dad. Then, the song was full of heart. Hope for the best in the music field for this young man I lost my husband 11 years ago. We had a great life together. When he started getting sick, we would go all kinds of places while he could.( bladder cancer cleared, then a heart attack, did well, then bladder cancer again, did well, heart attack the second time the Doctor said you have the best heart ever. Then he got leukemia. This was all about 6 years apart. The kind of leukemia he had only gave him 2 years. When he was feeling good, we were going places. This was all being sure to go to the grandsons ball games. I was still working for the school district through out all. He decided we would go to a casino one night. Was feeling good. Went for the night and had a great time. The next day, he couldn't move. His sister helped me get him to the hospital and he passed 4 days later. It was hard for me, but I did all l could to hold it together. I did go back to work and told them I would stay a month, then I was done. I felt guilty for not being with him more. It was just work. Only one of my boys had kids. The oldest had the two boys and a sister. The boys were 10 and 9 when their sister was born. I ended up taking care of the kids til recently. I learned early on of you can help in some way you will not feel as sad a lot. Sorry, this is probably way more than you wanted to hear. I have a tendency to talk to much. 😊

I love all of Iam Tongi songs. He makes us cry so much. We were 8 children in my family. I was so close to my dad, little brother and sister. My dad passed away in 1988 at the age of 66. My little brother passed away in 2011 at the age of 43. Then my sister passed away at the age of 69 in 2020. I was very upset for a very long time. I raised my little brother and we were always together. I was 10 years old when he was born. I was so emotional for so long when my brother passed. It took me 9 years to get over Marcel and my dad. Then when my sister passed away that did it for me. I was so mad at GOD but then, I don't know who or what made me better and just now I had a feeling that made me think that they are not suffering anymore. I am now 66 yrs old. It really makes me think that my dad died at the age of 66 the same age as I am now. I just know that one day I will be seeing them again. Love always. Ontario, Canada

I, as a SPIRITUALLY TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE alumni(also known as a Near Death Experience) from a drowning incident, got to see loved ones who had passed away before I was born, I already got a taste of what the other side is and can’t wait to return home once God Father 🕊️ makes the call for me to report. Just before my father passed away from a stroke, he went into a coma, doctors said that he was not going to make it through the night and just out of nowhere, my father woke up. He said that he had spoken to his parents, siblings and other relatives on the other side and that was was given the gift to just say goodbye. I believe everything he said, told him that he had lived a good life and wished him peace. As he passed away and thanks to my own personal experience, I now feel him all the time. I know that he watches over me every single day and I will continue to pray for him till it’s my time to become part of the watch God the creator is always great 🙏🏼

I lost my dad in December of 2020 and it has been so difficult my dad served 32 years active duty united states'army and served 4 tours in Iraq in the cavalry his Bradley fighting vehicle was blown up 56 times by i.e.d.s . When he retired he missed the brotherhood from the military and started riding motorcycles and had a horrible accident and God called dad home.

Having moved to Hawaii after growing up in Minnesota, going to college in Cambridge, Massachusetts, working in LA and San Francisco, and traveling the world, I can honestly say I wouldn't live anywhere else. Yes, it is expensive. Everything desirable is. But if you can afford it, there is no place better or more beautiful, IMHO. I hope Iam uses his gift to come back home.

median for a single family home in hawaii with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths is at least a million dollars. and that's not even the value of the home. it's the value of the location. you'll find some really big and busted up homes being sold for like 700K. i wanted to move into a new home had to settle down on a single bedroom 500sq ft condo priced at nearly 400K.
