Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on our last video. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHrdpHampb52j68

I’m not familiar with Chris’s other work. I actually discovered this song from a Slash Spotify playlist, and even me who had was discovering Chris for the first time, thought he sounded out of place on his own song. He tried something different but it seemed he wasn’t open to a lot of instruction when recording the vocals.

@@hatchibyebye how would you know what he was instructed on in the recording for the vocals of this song and if he was open to directing as you were hearing the song for the first time with no previos knowledge of his previous music? Thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard... actual...
@hatchibyebye2 жыл бұрын
@@mikephillips1043 Turns out I do know his previous music. After I made the comment, i looked him up and I do know Soundgarden and listen to them a lot. So it makes sense that he was recommended in my spotify algorithm. I just didn't know any of the band members names. He sounds great in soundgarden, which sounds nothing like Timbaland, so I was correct in detecting he was out of his element here.

Beautiful, but tragic song. This song makes me cry. My ex-wife used to scream at me every god damned day. Even teenie tiny things would throw her into a rage. I used to beg her to calm down and talk rationally, but she wouldn't. She would scream at the top of her head, to the point that she physically battered me. I outweighed her by 130# and being a former boxer she didn't have a chance - should I lose my head. But I never did. She went to jail, not me. I never laid a finger on her. Guys, don't let her sucker you into legal trouble!! One day, when she was at work, I packed my shit and left. Never looked back. Timbaline rocks!! We miss you Chris!

I don’t care what the haters say, this song is awesome...Chris’s deep, soulful voice is still ever present & I love the little divergence he took for this; he didn’t sell out and change his style to “pop”, he just tried something different & it sucks that he got so much shit for doing this. His voice is still INCREDIBLE no matter what. Miss him not being in this world so much 💟💝

Agreed. People expecting artists to stay the same their entire lifetime, is just plain idiotic. They're ARTISTS. This is a rule in life, if you don't want people to change - you are limiting them in so many ways. Who could they become without other people's limiting expectations? I love that he did this album.

I know sometimes we don't get along So Chris sing the second verse to you Like this] Take a minute to tell you now And I don't have to raise my tone Take the level and bring it down I just want you to know I got no trouble with what you said I don't even think you're wrong It's how you say it You lose your head Girl I'm standing right in front of you Throwing out the blame when you know it ain't my fault Messing with my brain when you want to see me fall There may come a time when I don't bother you at all It isn't my call, it isn't my call Hey, why you keep screaming at the top of your head? I love this song but it makes me sad too. To deal with her bs day in day out for so many years till he could no longer take it anymore. 😢

I'm so glad you said that. Most of the times I've said it I've been shot down and called a troll. I honestly feel this was a reflection of his marriage. The brunette, and the boy and girl. I'm sorry for kids loss of their father, and for being left with her. The pain he had to have been going through......

RIP Chris. For anyone who has drug problems or feels depression there is always help out there for you. Reach out to someone for help. Chris was the best male vocalist alive in my opinion, the world will miss him.

This song was my intro to Chris Cornell so I thought. I didn't realize until someone pointed out that he was the lead singer of Soundgarden whose song "Black Hole Sun" I've adored since I was a little girl. So imagine how stupid I felt once I learned that 🤦.... But anyway RIP Chris Cornell. He's a legend in my eyes. 🖤 For those of you who read this thanks and please seek help if you're thinking of harming yourself or others. You are not alone. Trust me. 😊🙏

For some reason there are so many people who can't stand Chris unless he has long hair, wearing combat boots and yelling his head off in a soundgarden song. Those people miss so much, I honestly feel sorry for them. Chris was such a talented musician. He had a true gift. I also feel this song was his thoughts about his marriage.

I actually first heard this when it came out when i was 15 years old and thats when i discovered who this guy actually was. I loved his voice in this song, and then i started to put the pieces together. I remembered always loving soundgarden music but HAD NO CLUE WHO THE SINGER WAS till this came out. R.I.P

R.I.P Chris. A truly great artist who went mostly under appreciated. He provided nothing but great music for our generation with fantastic songs including this and main song of James Bond movie - Casino Royals among countless others !!!

Love Chris Cornell!! The video captures the two moods of the music - there are two things going on; 111 beats per minute is fast but the music, lyrics and the vocals are slower and more relaxed flowing over the beat - kind of chaotic and exciting......

Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of all time. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me : kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3vUnqaOmZ2EfpY&t

Reasons people dislike this: Cornell's fanbase is composed by rock fans, so anything out of the box is completely unconceivable for them. Too bad, he would make a great pop star.
