Chris Cornell… a rare gem! Beautiful, humble, angelic voice, and gifted beyond belief! You truly left the world a little colder when you left us but your legacy provides enough warmth to hold on until we meet again. Depression as an illness is deadly. When you are down in the dump when you have everything in the world to be grateful for is incredibly painful and hopeless. Wanting to die surrounded by people who love you is confusing and soul shattering. I wish therapists, counselors, clergy, parents, and other loving people would educate themselves on mental health issues. Perhaps I have been so successful as a therapist is because I know what depression, trauma, and anxiety feels like. I wish someone had reached Chris!

Man, that's what is so cool about good music...it can cut right through all the differences and BS in life (some differences that may be real & some we create in our own minds), but those differences disappear when a great song connects with you....it'll make you realize we're all the same inside & we all want the same types of things in life. Music like Chris Cornell gave us, brings ALL kinds of people together that can relate to the feelings or emotions in a song....Happy, Sad, Love, Betrayal, Anger, Hopelessness, etc. As a guitarist in a band a few years ago, I've seen it from the stage many times...on the faces of people from all walks of life. There's No better feeling ! - And just so you'll know, I'm a 50 y/o White man ...born & raised here in Birmingham, Alabama. I hope you keep on listening to Chris Cornell's music...his solo stuff and his music with Audioslave and Soundgarden is all fantastic !

@@Alan-in-Bama Great to hear from u, I'm also 50, plus an artist, I rap, or poetry depends on how people listen to it. I grew up listening to all types of music, not knowing what color the person was, it was music, and I loved it, music has no color, I thank my God for keeping where I'm at now, because the only race that matters to me, is the human race, so when I perform, I write music to get us closer, as one

@@shortyroc6798 oh ok, Cool man - So you were a Generation X teenager too…the 80’s music we got to enjoy was exactly what we’re both talking about…. The music styles were all over the place. It was created by all varieties of people , all ages and from all around the world … and it connected to everybody. That’s what made it so good ! I listened to everything…. Metallica, Van Halen, LL Cool J, NWA, Sting, INXS, etc, etc…. and I still do. And yeah, rap, rock, metal…. Doesn’t matter. If you can get your expressions out and connect with people, that’s what it’s all about. There’s no “color” to it. Like you said, it’s about the human experience and emotions we feel in life. The way he treated me the times we met was truly special. He always seemed to want to know how life has been since the last time we talked. Well, I see trees of green and red roses too I'll watch them bloom for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world Well, I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white And the brightness of day I like the dark And I think to myself what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky And also on the faces of people passing by I see friends shaking hands saying How do you do? They're really saying I, I love you I hear babies cry and I watch them grow They'll learn much more then we'll know And I think to myself what a wonderful world World Someday I wish upon a star Wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney top That's where you'll find me Oh, somewhere over the rainbow Way up high And the dreams that you dare to Why oh, why can't I?

Seen Chris in Louisville Kentucky in 2007. 2 rows from stage. It was something watching him perform. That voice the range this wonderful man had. What a gift we were all able to enjoy and still do. ❤ Was scheduled to see him in Orlando at Hard Rock, I believe the Nov before he passed I cant remember the year nor do I want to remember the year to heartbreaking. It a 45 minute drive for me then just outside of Orlando it was announced the concert was canceled. I swear it felt like my heart was torn in 2 😢. I read once that no other musician can reach so many octaves. Yes I have CDs showing my age. I'm trying to get all every last song. My playlist can only hold so much due to age of phone. Albums are coming back every album of his needs to become available. Sales might surprise some me not at all. As long as I have the money I'll buy and play as loud as I want. First part of May will be absolutely terrible. I'm not sorry this is so long miss the man the musician the voice ❤❤❤

Same. I wish I knew him and could tell him about narcissistic abuse. I believe if he knew he was married to a woman with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and more he would have left her ass early on and would be alive today.
@nataliepalmer67244 жыл бұрын
Honestly I do not believe he took his own life. None of it makes sense if you follow it. I have never been one to believe in conspiracy theories but for this It ALL DIDNT MAKE SENSE AND EVER CHESTER. I am going to keep trying to find the true evidence because these two beautiful souls don't deserve to go like this and no Justice is bullshit

He tried to tell everyone he was ready to leave this world and nobody listened until he was dead. That’s fucking sad that the music industry let this song play out when he was struggling with depression and anxiety. 😢

This was one of those songs that I heard a lot growing up, but never consciously recognized. All these years later, after becoming a fan of Chris, I find out that this was him the whole time.

Brian Dawkins life's a bitch man
@celinek83777 жыл бұрын
Brian Dawkins I know how you feel. It makes no sense how someone could be there one moment and gone the next and you wish you could've done something and whatever they say seems like lies because it makes no sense. it's always the good people who leave us and the bad stick around like friggin leeches.

Brian Dawkins .. it does not seem to make sense. . there is sadness and anger together, and unanswered "why???" I copied below what I posted on another site... I identify a lot with his lyrics and his band. A couple of relatives unfortunately died through suicide over the years. Depression (ie clinical depression; not the sad moods we all experience) is a disease of the mind, which destroys our perception that we could be happy (even if a person superficially appears to have everything/success/etc) , and even destroys our self-preservation instinct in that deepest darkest moment of emptiness. So they, unwittingly, choose the worst solution to their intense emotional pain, and we lose a loved one. RIP, Chris.

He expressed his feelings through his songs. He was over it but the most dangerous time for a victim of narcissism is when they prepare to leave. Read between the lines.
