My C5 ran at 220 consistently, and 240 on any hot day. I took an airhose to the radiator (underside facing road) and blew out 4 lbs of dirt. No kidding, I weighed it. The car never got above 180 after that.

Hey Chris check under the battery compartment there you will find vacuum hoses make sure they are ok not cracked or off . They control the doors in the box for direction of A/C and air . If the hoses is leaking or no vacuum you only get air on top close to window had to fix mine the other day , though of you about your a c issues hope this helped .

Great info Chris. My wife and I participated in a cruise from Roseville (Sacramento area) all on back roads over to St Helena in the Napa area a couple of weeks ago. On the way back our cruise director took us over Mt. St Helena, which was quit a climb and it was about 104 that day. I noticed that my car was topping the 235 mark when going over the pass. Needless to say, I was a little concerned. Once we crested the mountain, my temps dropped down to normal (about 200 to 210). I'm going to contact SacCity and buy a Cool It for my car. Better to rest easy during the hot days we have here in the Sac area. Thanks

Great product Chris, I bought an '01 ZO6 about 6 weeks ago, I bought it specially for autocross and have participated in 3 events already. It's a blast! My second event was a track day at NCM, I made 23 passes and saw a lot of elevated temperatures. Being cautious I popped the hood in the staging lanes all day as I was seeing temps at 235ish. The next day the car saw double duty at another autocross event while sharing it with my son, same temps, 235ish. I think this will help keep temps down while I'm in the stock class. I definitely plan to make some tune changes once I start modding the engine. Thanks for the video and info.

I had a friend, I showed it to, before buying at les schwab. he said the tires were dry rotted. I jumped the dealer about this and got a free set of bridgestone runflats thrown in. the car had just gone thru a very nice detailing inside and out. iv kept it clean so far.

I run a larger 2 core aluminum tank's radiator- plus i came up with just adding a new relay to the current system with a manual switch to control the high speed fans inside of the car ,this set up works great but it does set the check engine light on when the system detects the fans turning on at a lower than set temp maybe a seperate positive wire not coming from the stock relay would correct this ? keeping the computer from seeing the manual fan operation .. i just sodered leads coming off the 30 and 87 poles from the oem high speed relay to a separate new relay that i have a switch inside of the car to tun off and on the new relay .... it works perfect exccept the check engine light , will update when i get this figured out ... the vette hardley ever goes over 200 degrees in hot 100 plus summer weather and never above 210 ...reading the digital dash gauge ....
