Great item. I like how you added a switch. Don't know if you're like me, but that red light in the switch being on all the time would drive me nuts, especially at night. But the function is incredible. How cool.

Been eyeballing this for my c6. When trying to heel-toe, I can't get my foot to rotate correctly for the life of me without mashing the brake more, upsetting the car. Will be a future mod for sure! Thanks for sharing!!
@505zo64 жыл бұрын
When they say heel toe. You're not really using your heel and your toe in newer generation cars. You are really using the ball of your big toe on the break and the ball of your pinky toe on the gas. Try pressing down on the brake with the ball of your big toe, then push your knee towards the center console. That will rotate your foot onto the throttle pedal. Good luck...

@@505zo6 Thanks for replying. That's the method I've been trying. It's just an awkward movement I gotta get used to... or get this mod!

Get some good pedal covers, it's much, much easier when your gas and brake are wide and the gap is smaller.

Hey Chris, Just a quick question...any particular reason you installed the module in the glovebox vs hiding in console etc? Also, it's now 2022, how are you feeling about the module, still thumbs up? Also, I'm in Gilbert, do you ever go out with East Valley Corvettes? Would like to connect and take a look at some of your handywork

How's it like on the streets with stop and go traffic? Let's say you're at a red light in neutral. Will it blip every time you get back going to 1st?
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
It blips any time it senses brake and clutch. So if you let your foot off either, yes it will. This is also why Input it on a switch so I can turn it off.

Does the brake have to be pressed before the clutch, or is the signal it looking for both brake and clutch? Have you used the autoblip branded system before this one?
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t matter the order but both have to be pressed. I have not used Autoblip.
@armintheman4 жыл бұрын
Does it blip with just the clutch peddle engaged but not the brake? So for a normal down shift for example would it rev match? Or brake and clutch but need to be pressed for it to work?

Brake and clutch

Great upload Chris. Does this Blip Module come with a complete set of instructions? Since it's also available for the C6 and C7, does one have to specify which generation you want it for, or is this just a universal setup for all three generations?
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
Yes it comes with instructions but this video is far more in depth. Go to the website for more details.
@petercarey68834 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris. I always enjoy and prefer watching an install, but have written instruction as well helps. Plus, my C6 interior is a tad different than your C5. That's why I asked in that the "principal" may be same, but the details are probably just a "tad" different. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️

How does it know to blip a downshift vs upshift?
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
As I stated in the video, the module only creates a blip if the brake and clutch are engaged. So if you shift down or up without foot of the brake it won’t blip. I guess theoretically you could force a blip on upshift if you were pressing the brake, but why would you? Your RPMs are already elevated, thus why you would be up shifting.

Wow... they advertise this as "plug and play" that is quite a stretch claiming that
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
It is plug and play. The wires used to plug just take some routing through the car before you can play. You could literally just leave everything exposed and plug it in and it would work, but who wants that?

Learn why historically the heel-toe technique was developed and used, then learn how to heel-toe appropriately. It is very satisfying to do, creates a stronger driver confidence with the car, maintains balance in the car, reduces drivetrain wear and tear, and may help in braking the car in an emergency.
