Chris, those lights on the rear bumper...the ones you decided to face sideways...GREAT IDEA! Not only does it provide light from all 4 sides, those lights are so bright, it creates a line on the road, making it even more visible. I would appreciate these on a cop car too- sometimes they jump ahead to "run a break" to get traffic to slow down b/c of fresh accident ahead of us, and it's so sudden then they weave across all the lanes- the light-line would be handy reference.

Just wrap the paint that is on it now. No need to strip it to bare metal. Bondo any dents or deep gouges and primer over that. Stripping the whole car of paint wont be easy or cheap

I think the lights on the side look a little weird? I've never seen a police car with that before. They're a little susceptible to damage from somebody scraping the side of the vehicle too. A bullbar would have been a nice addition too

This is not a department issued vehicle. If you look at Sirennet's videos of builds done at star cars you'll see lighting mounted on the sides. Normally feniex cannons or Whelen vertexs. But I've seen cases with Whelen ions, or code 3 chase light heads.

It's actually very common! Vehicles that have to respond to emergencies are very susceptible to accidents while traveling through intersections and red lights. This means that it is very important to have lights facing the side in order to remain visible when doing so. You're right, many cruisers go with the push bumper mounted lights, and vehicles with exterior light bars have coverage too. On this vehicle it is rather strange to see them mounted so far in the rear, and nothing in the front.

The '06 Crown Vic is the best car I ever owned. Just make sure you lock it up, police interceptors are really easy to steal... Lol. I have a 2000 now it's not nearly as fast. There's not a whole lot you can do performance wise with an '06 because they have electronic throttle bodies that you can't really upgrade. Still, I could hit 120 in mine no problem before the governor kicked in.

It literally says 'Police Interceptor' right on most CVPI badges. It doesn't stand for Power Improved.

I'm not talking about the car, I'm talking about the heads on the engine. All of the 2 valve Ford modular series of engines got PI heads with different intake manifolds. The later 5.4 and even the 6.8 V10 say PI on the heads and every Crown Vic after 1999 says PI regardless of whether it's a Police Interceptor.

Man I don't know why I feel so happy to see Chris' fix helping out fellow officers out there it's like the opposite u wouldn't see a street racer helping out a cop And it's kind of funny cause I got a few buddies that are cops and yet I'm a mechanic I like speeding even doe it's breaking the law but don't tell anyone I only do it when there's no one around, also I'm still going to college to learn more on cars see and this is were it's funny I'm going to the Miller campus for my mechanic school and wouldn't u believe it right next were are classes take place the police academy is next to us Everytime we test out our cars in the tracks there over there looking at as but for some reason some of the guys or fellow women officers love the fact we can fix a car from time to time a couple buddies of mine and me would go next door to see what's it like being trained as a rookie cop not to lie it looks hard and to much paper work and responsibilities to handle and when they come over to see us they also think it's to much hahahaha it's funny yet I find my work to easy and fun maybe it is the truth for them as they picked the opposite, anyways I love to see fellow people getting along with officers, bye you guys God bless you all be safe thank you Chris fix
