I would definitely like to see drone compatibility. Question though, I currently only have one camera that is older that I know I need to upgrade for business purposes (Canon sl2/ 200D). I been debating & wondering if I should save up for this all in one system as it has many features such as wireless transmission ect. that I don't currently own or start with a less expensive camera a Sony A7Viiii & gradually build it out?

Used it on my feature last year. Loved it so much I bought one. Now it will be tested on 13 episodes of TV. The flex/Tilta setup is the answer for us. Thanks for the great review.

love the Z axis on my 4D. Debating the flex for tight spaces and remote operation. I used a basic ez rig on a shoot and that helped alot with an all day shoot and allowed me to keep the Z axis in play.

Great video. Thanks! I got the email announcing the flex but didn't really pay attention. After watching your video, I'm thinking it's a must-have. I was doing video on a tripod-mounted Canon 5D MkIV and my iPhone 12 with a DJI gimbal. 😁 I was getting ready to get the RS2 Pro when I saw the 4D. It was a huge pivot and investment for me, but I went for it and have absolutely no regrets. I love pretty much everything about that camera except lugging it around for 6-8 hours. So... the flex is happening. Also, I went on their site to check the price and noticed they also now sell the license to unlock RAW ($979).

Chris! Soooo here you go! 😂 my flex arrives next week. First… another great video and thank you. The reason why I do is because I relate to a couple of situations you share. One being that I had the same situation that tempted me to wrestle with and then pull the trigger to purchase the 4D. I thought it was going to be a looooooong night of regret after, but it wasn’t. The camera is an awesome addition tool for me and what I do as a documentarian. Especially on my current project…. Stay tuned! Fast forward you and another brought concern about a valid concern in regard to DJI’s commitment to the 4D. Then maybe a day or 2 later there’s the DL PZ 17-28mm lens and the Flex!!! Again “thank you”… my only slight frustration is not getting the DJI bright video monitor. Everywhere sold out 😡

How are the DZOfilm lenses working on your system? I eventually wanna get the Ronin 4D as I have used it and loved it. I also love the DZO lenses. I can't remember if you previous video had an adapter to make the lens compatible

Another great video! Looking to upgrade from an A7iii and have constantly been drawn back and forth between the 4D and the RED komodo. Primarily do band work and weddings. Would love to hear yours, and others thoughts in the comments if they have ever used either in that type of work!

I just noticed the High-Bright Remote monitor has been marked as Discontinued on B&H and Backordered on Adorama. It's still available on DJI's store but now I'm wondering if there is a 2nd gen coming. I know there were some latency issues people were complaining about. I hope it's not going away, though. Anyone hear anything about it?

Hello Chris, Thank you for your great videos. Can the Ronin 4D Open Gate? I saw in your video that you are with a small anarmorhen lines. Does that work well? the Ronin 4D? Chris, have you seen or heard about what's happening with the Ronan 4D *8K Version ?* Has this version of the Ronan 4D been released yet ? I understood that it had been released, yet I can't locate any available stock in retail channels as of yet, and I haven't been able to find any test footage from the 8K Head on KZbin ? I will search again, as something might have escaped by searches.

I think Chris's use is actually an edge case for the flex cable, the cable normally would be used to put a high-quality camera in places that it normally can't go. You lose one of the stabilizers when detaching onto the cable, so I don't think a run-and-gun backpack setup makes the most sense to leverage the benefits of the regular build. But I've seen some awesome uses of this cable for car mounts and boom pole mounts, etc.

Yeah, the cable is expensive, however the cable for the Sony Venice cost more than the Ronin 4D camera+all accessories.
