I feel the same way. Les was my first love and they were all such a part of my teen years. Now my little granddaughters love to dance to some of their songs. It felt so good to talk about them again and share the memories then I got word of Les passing away and I feel like a part of me died too. This is the first I’ve been able to post and yet I’m still getting choked up. I was sad to hear that Allen had passed and I found out about Ian, I just feel crushed. 😥❤️❤️❤️

@@lisaahlers3491 Hello Lisa Marie. It is so very nice to read your reply. They were the first band that I started to like. I STILL have every 16 magazine with the BCR and albums. I still have the tartan outfit I made and wore to my first of 2 concerts. I was 14. They made us feel like we were part of them in some way. I understand your grieving and it is real. I, too, wept when Alan was the first to pass. Especially under those conditions. Give yourself time to grieve. Then be thankful we were part of their memory too. Just like the song, Don't Let The Music Die, celebrate them, their music, and the smiles they gave us. And you're already doing that with your wonderful granddaughters now. How special is that! That in itself shows that the Bay City Rollers' music WILL live on. 4-ever In our hearts and memory...Alan, Ian, and Les.

The Rollers may have been the template for 'Boy Bands' in the 80s, 90s and 00s. In reality the Rollers knew their instruments, played and sang live...always, and composed most of their own songs. A thing I enjoyed in the 70s that made pop music real and tangible. They were seriously ripped-off by their handlers. The drink and depression were a symptom of how they were all mistreated since Rollermania. May they all find peace.

Great music of their day, but so badly mis-handled by the record company/manager who probably took advantage of their naivety and young ages, when the fame hit the big time. The money poured in so where did it go ??? it seems not to any of the band! Disgustingly treated in my opinion. RIP Les, Alan and Ian and thank you for being a part of my early teens :)

When asked where is all that money that this group made went. I say look no further than their manager and the record company. The remaining band members need to seriously consider suing Arista for fraud. At least. Unfortunately their manager is dead. They could sue his estate.
