When I woke and turned the race on, I knew right away to start looking for more material for the show. I wasn’t expecting 23min video for a 15 kilometer race but I liked so Garrett edited and posted it. Hopefully you will too. Enjoy 👊🦋🤞

I love watching Primoz race when he’s on form because you know his individual tactics are always spot on (aside from his brush with crashes). Stage 4 was a showcase of how Primoz likes to race; explosive when necessary, but otherwise very reserved. I think many other teams (especially UAE) underestimated to difficulty of that climb in addition to the heat, and they lost much more time than expected for a climb of that length. UAE’s major issue is that they tried to run Pogacar tactics without Pogacar on the roster. It feels like this is a common problem with UAE whenever they do a stage race without him. Unless they tighten up the tactics, this Vuelta will be a happy hunting ground for Primoz.

Agreed. UAE blew up their team to pieces on the very first hard climb. I don’t understand how all of them underestimated their fitness. 😱🦋👍

Did you catch the bit about the finish stripes being confusing do to some existing road paint so Wout got the wrong line. I think WVA has discovered Caden Groves' kryptonite .. He can't last more than 200m so Wout is starting his sprints earlier on purpose, I think. Honorable mention to Matthew Riccitello -- the young American did great on an insanely difficult stage and even attacked. Bravo!

I don’t think that it was that Roglic stole the Vuelta from Kuss, as much as it was a gift, as payback for his hard work as their super domestique. At any rate, it will be extremely difficult for someone to take the red jersey away from him, provided that he can stay upright.

I thought the number two rule is not to leave your teammates if you’re the GC leader of the team. Number one rule, of course is to not allow your race leader to be isolated. Number three rule should be not to attack on the steepest part of the climb. But I’m just a rookie Chesterfieldian, please advise.
@ChrisHornerCycling
@ChrisHornerCycling 21 күн бұрын
The #1 rule is to never leave your leader and the leader never leaves his team until his team are all done. The #2 rule was made during the classic after knuckleheads kept attacking Wout on the steepest cobbles. 😂🦋👊

Only tactics you need to know if you are a grand tour rider is how to charm the podium girls (ask George Hincappi) and how to scam sponsors to support and believe in you in the form of millions of Euros (Ask Chris Froome). This is how you win a grand tour.
