Back during the recession years when you had 1200+ applicants lining up for every single job opening, you had to work really hard to keep your job or else they'd replace you in a heartbeat. Working for Orlando Regional Medical Center at that time I saw on more than one occasion employees being fired for being 1 to 3 minutes late, forgetting to clock in, forgetting to clock out, and so on. Out of all the pimp my ride episodes this guy actually got the best upgraded car, that first guy with the van! That van came out so dope!

Discovered your channel two or so weeks ago. Ive been watching your videos on repeat, DAILY. You come across as genuine and relatable and your content is top notch comedy! I don’t follow a lot of youtubers for a variety of reasons . But I will definitely be eager to watch your content ! Please keep them coming !

The best part of this show, by far, was when these cars ended up on eBay & cartrader years later and everyone got to see how halfassed/bootleg all the work they did on it was.

one thing i wanna add is the producers would purposely put certain items in the car they were going to pimp in order to make the show more interesting and make fun of the owners

I bet she didn’t get fired for “forgetting to clock out for lunch once”…Doesn’t usually happen that way lol
@schlockfather3 ай бұрын
Exactly, you usually just get repeated warnings and eventually you could get fired, but no one actually wants to process all that paperwork just for something a manager can easily fix with a time punch adjustment.
@TrishaMitchell101 Жыл бұрын
I can't believe the hospital fired her. It's not like she had a malpractice mistake but only because she forgot to clock out for a break... Wtf, are you kidding me? That's ridiculous. She's probably a good nurse. Hopefully she got another nursing job because what happened to her was messed up. She deserves better.

I think Xhibit doing a walk around and driving the car was the most entertaining part. I could have sworn there was an episode where it was just such a terrible car they bought them a new car.
@sorrenblitz8052 жыл бұрын
Yeah there was. It was literally two halves of different cars welded together haphazardly. They tricked out a new Scion for him instead.

I found a thread from 2007 in which the supposed owner of the HiJet was trying to sell it. He said he had been offered $4-5k multiple times but had not taken anybody up. He also said that he missed having it prepimped, the guitar was shit, the rims were custom drilled for that car which made it unstable, and they did zero mechanical work minus adding a cold air intake.

@DREDD_BOT Yep. Google “pimp my ride hijet”. It’s a forum called minitrucktalk. Should be one of the first results.

There is an older show where they pretend to steal peoples cars, and upgrade it for them. But they keep the act up for WEEKS while they fix the cars. It’s called Overhaulin' and it’s kinda nuts. Oh also Baitcar. That shit is wild.

What a nice ending for Wyatt. It was so nice and considerate of the show to do absolutely nothing to help replace some of what was lost. Lol

I remember watching the show release and it's time on air. For a 14 year old, the shit be ballin. Let's just say it aged very poorly but still enjoyable for the nostalgia factor. 2004 was a very different time.

If you think this is funny, you should watch the UK version. Its presented by a middle aged white radio DJ called Tim Westwood who markets himself as the voice of UK rap and acts exactly like how you think a rich white middle aged man who thinks hes black would act. It's hilarious 😂

I've been waiting for Chris to get around to talking about this unbelievably ridiculous show 😄 I remember watching it just to see how much more useless crap they could put in a vehicle. My favorite part was to see what kind of fake script they could have the people on it try to convince us was true .
@tigereyes2012 Жыл бұрын
Little late too the party but side note bout this show I heard a lot of horror stories about it. Like when filming the people whose cars were getting 'pimped' had absolutely no say in what was done to the vehicle, and they weren't allowed afterwards to sell the car or anything.

4:35 touching on the Extreme Makeover Home Edition thing - there was this Q&A section on Weird Al's website back in the day and someone had asked about his appearance on EMHE. Basically, during the reveal he played a polka, while the little girl who's house it was looked fairly unimpressed. Apparently it was a big joke where in Reality TV world, the host misheard "I like polka" as "I like polka dots"

Actually in season 5 they actually did some mechanical repairs too. When they were using West Coast Customs it was purely cosmetic, but Galpin Auto Sports did do some stuff under the hood.
