Hey Chris! There is a song on Tekkno where Nico shines, it's called Neon. You should check that if you haven't already :)

Aaaaah, Neon is absolutely stellar!!!! It is very different and I love that. Tekkno is my favorite album of the last couple of years.

I think he sounds so much like Chester Bennington in this song as well, but still himself at the same time. I was so impressed with his style.

One of the Electric Callboy Secret Sauces (pun/no pun) is that Nico will do a little harsh backup and Kevin will do the same with cleans on some live clips. They both have incredible versatility ... I am so jealous, as I have neither. I really appreciate your 'fast ear, hearing the subtleties in one take.. pretty impressive.
@davidhodge935510 ай бұрын
100% when you see them live they sound very good because between the 2 of them they are able to come very close to this sound live.

This has to b the most comprehensive vocal analysis of EC I've ever heard! Well done!
@heidibaltom813810 ай бұрын
The more i watch your videos on these guys the more i think how underrated a screamer Kevin is. I knew he was good but didnt realise the technical difficulty to it and Nicos singing too.
@TheOmegaRiddler10 ай бұрын
Kevin is an underrated Sceamer for sure, but I think that's only because of how good Nico is. And if you watch them live, you see Nico is supporting Kevin by also screaming. The fact he can pull off his vocals while backing up Kevin is insane.

Your point about how Nico exits notes is so so true. He always knows when to exit on a sort of deliberate breath, a little "uh", that adds to when they're going for a "sexier" vibe (as in this very silly song, or places in their Everytime We Touch cover)

I discovered ECB yesterday and then became obsessed with watching react/analysis videos, which is how I made it to your and Elizabeth's channels. I struggle with processing lyrics for any song, so I mostly hear pitches, tones, etc. and the instruments. And even then, I nearly get overwhelmed with how much depth or complexity their songs have. These analysis videos are so helpful for me to better process what I hear. And I get to see how much fun everyone has analyzing ECB and it is contagious. What I've become to love about them is that Nico seduces you with his clean vocals and that seduction enhances the screams to not be off-putting. And that their videos are just so wacky and fun.

So great! I love reactors that nerd out about their interests, because it gets me excited about things maybe I didn't think about, and appreciate the music even more. I always find myself mimicking during your videos, since you explain it so well! I've always found myself being drawn to vocal videos, because I get this energy in my throat, and need to make weird noises, lol. Maybe I should've followed my dreams when I was younger! lol ANYWAY! Love your reactions, as always! Such great energy.

Two live videos you need to do TEKKNO TRAIN & WE GOT THE MOVES live in Denver. The reason I suggest that, is cuz the videos were shot on Go Pro Cameras and cell phones by the crew, it was not planned and it truly shows amazing quality and you can really hear the vocals well, and you can take a deeper dive into them live and how they compliment each other, awesome work as always 🤘🏻

Hey man, love your videos! I just wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind checking out/ doing more of a deep dive in Shaun Morgan's voice from seether ? I love his rasp and really would like to learn how to get that sound. I love the song "Pass Slowly" cause of his range in it but in the song "Like Suicide" he does some screams which are super impressive! Thanks!

One thing I learned was not to underestimate pop music, or poppy music. Some singers in pop or pop-like styles are just amazing. I agree about what you said about processing. I was amazed how different I sound with processing. I compared myself to recorded tracks and even live tracks, and was bummed that I couldn't sound like that. My eyes were opened once I learned about processing my voice Even if a singer doesn't sound like he or she has reverb, I learned that sometimes the reverb is there, but it's subtle. In that song, it's there for the entire song, for example. It's just not reverb but other effects

I think that 'deep inside' almost fry worked so well because of his accent since they are German. When you were talking about it, it almost sounded like you put a touch of German accent on it yourself.

You are the first one i see to not break into laughter when hearing the Choo choos! xD Really enjoy your videos of Electric Callboy. These are probably on your list already, but just in case: I think you are ready for "Hurrikan (feat. Go on with your stuff, greetings from germany!

I have no idea whether or not you already know about this band, but I think you'd enjoy diving into Invent Animate. On your own time or on the channel, whatever works. The two songs I would suggest starting with are Heavener and Shade Astray, the former being their beautiful side and the latter being their technical/heavy side. The vocalist is pretty incredible. Back on topic, the EC analysis is always a good time 🤘
