For Lzzy, neither the recorded, nor this acoustic version is a real scream. It would be cool to review some more recent material, like a live performance of this song (I have video from Oct. 25, 2024 in Montreal), or ‘Can You See Me In The Dark’ which may be Lzzy’s hardest vocal performance yet.

Chris, if you're screaming with a more compressed tone - not allowing enough breath to come through, wouldn't that typically be bad for your voice? Or is singing with compression only good when you're using distortion?
@chrisliepeКүн бұрын
Compression, done correctly is actually easier on your primary cords! Done wrong tho, it can cause big problems. I can help you dial it in correctly. Head to mymusicalvoice.com and check out my course “the aggressive vocalists master plan of attack” for exactly what you’re wanting to learn. :)

dude. like your videos's style and love you very much. but have to say, what you do is not really even close to what she does. she has a shape of an aa sound in the chest and diaphragm. beside she doing it so harshly. you on the other hand have shape of an o sound (pretty much). also the Contraction balance between head voice and chest voice and resonators are pretty much diffrent.

@@Lpxable and by the way the choice wasnt like that at all. Mike and Emily met doing music even before she was considered a band member. The evidence so far points out in the opposite direction of what you are suggesting. Emily and LP is embraced by the majority of fans and maybe even bringing in new fans from the younger generation especially from women. Reaction online such as views on KZbin and streams on streaming platforms show Shinoda's gamble on Emily is paying dividends. Their show are also selling out and fast internationally and locally. Objective data trumps personal feelings.
