Is there a small group of dedicated people, in cold climates, who very interested in making orange snow?

I use it as an indicator of sufficiency, after an extended fast, the first time I eat liver I don't pee neon yellow, usually by the third time I guess I topped my reserves/requierements because I start peeing slightly neon yellow and usually the color remains about the same every time I eat liver.

Very interesting point you made about Alkaline phosphatase and riboflavin conversion in the gut. I have anemia that is not iron related and no one can figure it out. Thalassemia has been ruled out. But now I think it has to do with ALP. It has always been low- fluctuated between 29-32 which are always well below the normal range. I learned recently that zinc and magnesium are cofactors for ALP so I started supplementing both. But I am also curious about riboflavin. Would you recommend supplementing it for someone like me? is the riboflavin 5 phosphates recommended or should I get straight riboflavin? A future video dedicated to ALP and everything that can go wrong with its synthesis would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated!!!

Zinc deficiency can cause anemia. I would do comprehensive nutritional testing. See my guide on that at chrismasterjohnphd.com/cheatsheet The list of nutrient deficiencies that can cause anemia is much longer than anyone thinks it is.

Have you looked into Thiamine deficiency

@@key2lyfe interesting that you said that!!! I did a genetic testing and found out that I have thiamin transporter snp. tell me more about what made you suspect thiamine? and thanks for your response

@petrichor100 That's good you had testing. Yes, I was suffering for 9 years with various symptoms: shortness of breath, loss of appetite, hair loss, digestive issues, constipation, numbness, poor circulation, etc. After 9 years of research and so many tests that appeared to be normal, I started my research backward. I did a medication reconciliation and made the connection between thiamine deficiency and metronidazole. In May 2023, I started my healing journey. I was on many supplements but still not feeling better. Then I learned about bioavailability and nutrient absorption. I started eating raw, frozen pork liver in April 2024, which saved my life. ChatGPT has helped me a lot with understanding and putting the pieces together. My alkaline phosphatase was low but not low enough for the doctor to take action. After further research, I found a correlation between thiamine deficiency, low alkaline phosphatase, and low stomach acid. I would look into Elliot Overton and Dr. Berg for more information on thiamine. There are also Facebook groups with many stories and information.

I wonder if this also applies to k-9 urine!
@petrichor1008 ай бұрын
What does it mean if you take high doses riboflavin and yet urine does not turn neon color ? does it mean I am retaining it? I am taking 100mg 2-3 times a day but my urine is faintly neon and not always. I was on it for awhile and then stopped for 4 days prior to my Genova metabolix panel and my test showed that i was severely deficient in B2. It is strange because i been on a B complex for a good while.. All my b vitamins are fine ( slight low b1 and b3 ) but severely deficient in B2. My glutaric acid is high and my antioxident status was not great. what do you think?

In the short time I've taken I3C (Indole-3-Carbinol) I noticed a red tinge to my urine.

What about subq FMN? Are there transporteres for serum FMN?

Can you feel worse in it in the beginning if u are deficient?
@chrismasterjohn Жыл бұрын
Probably depends. I kind of doubt it if it’s just a simple dietary deficiency, but if you’re fixing something requiring high dose riboflavin, you could cause an imbalance. For example, I have an ACAD9 mutation that causes both a problem in fatty acid oxidation and in the respiratory chain, and I am finding that if I step up the dose of riboflavin too fast, I get tradeoff effects that manifest quantitatively as a big spike in my lactate, which I think is from fixing the fatty acid oxidation sooner than fixing the respiratory chain.
