I think the 2013-18 models for the 636 are a bit stronger than the 2019-2020. And the first generation 636 was the strongest. HP in the high 120s. The 600 class is just now picking back up. After sales been dropping in the 600 class for a few years now. Thanks to Kawasaki making it popular again by dropping the price to under $10,000 for one of these. The Stunt World was keeping the 600 class alive. Now track guys want them too. 💪🏾

@@alexwalter3266 BUT, as you can see from the graphs, there's is no real reason to go there, except acting like a squid; both hp and torque all drop off way before you get there. It's suppose to be a final line of defense, not a daily go to.
@kennethpowers89954 жыл бұрын
ray Nic No there is actually a reason to rev an engine past power peak and that is so when you shift you fall right back into the power in the next gear. If you shift right at power peak and the RPMs drop you out of the power and in the next gear you aren’t going to be as fast as if you stretch it out and let the shift drop you right back in the meat of the power.
@raynic11734 жыл бұрын
That depends on gear ratios. Tell me how much rev change between gears?
@raynic11734 жыл бұрын
@@kennethpowers8995 Actually, your mixing up two different issues. I agree going over the peak hump is beneficial, like as you said the next up shift will bring you back down into the rev range. And being that you want to stay in the upper power band that works out. BUT, when you upshift your only going to change the revs ~500 rpm. So you don't really need to go far passed the hump to have it all work in your favor. HOWEVER, the topic was hitting the rev limiter not where to shift. BUT, when road racing there is another benefit to being at the peak. Which is, if the rear tire starts spinning up on corner exit it takes very few revs for the engine to fall off the power and help prevent a high side. Basically, old school traction control.
