Im not sure about lore, but one thing about dwemer race is eye catching: they make all their stuff from brass like metal. So that box could be also made from something like that, or just covered in some brass color paint to look similiar.

I would definitely like to see a re-imagining of the Antikythera Mechanism. Like - imagine the mechanism itself was just some kind of elaborate ancient clock and whatever a developer of that puzzle wants it to be; once it is assembled, it becomes a clock or something (with a watch battery)... did that make sense? Naw, the Dwemer were both in the Elder Scrolls universe. They were elves who lived underground and eventually got the nickname of Dwarves but the concept of the short stocky bearded Dwarves doesn't exist in Elder Scrolls

Mer litteraly means elves. Dwe + Mer = elves of the deep. It is stated hundreds of times in game, so how do you not know it? Just read "Dwemer inquiries, volume 1" or "Dwarves, volume 1". Dwarves is the human language translation for Dwemer, just like woodelves is a translation for Bosmer

Before u said that near the end, I was gonna say that removing certain pieces frees up certain pieces, allowing u to b able to move other pieces u couldn't before. Also at the beginning of the show, I've watched your other shows, so I thought that scare area was hiding playing cards and that the second puzzle was to help u unlock that square area once you've solved the first puzzle. Like a puzzle within a puzzle to help solve the bigger puzzle

The Dwemer are Elves though. It's in their name, "mer" directly translates to "Elf." Dwarves is merely how common folk refer to them, much like how the refer to Orsimer as Orcs.

To be a proper "Dwemer" puzzle box it would need to be all metal (ideally brass) and stone and be off the chart in difficulty, like an 11 or 12. Throwing some wooden cogs on a wooden box and calling it Dwemer just says to me that the creator doesn't know anything about TES and is banking on a name. Kinda gross, honestly.

I'm thinking he cheesed it somehow. For example, if you look closely during the first solve, he lifted the contraption out without the fourth corner being in the proper place. That tells me he probably cut a corner illegally in the second puzzle.

Chris!! Just wanted to say that you always put a lot of thought and effort into your content, which is hugely appreciated, entertaining and executed! You sir, are fantastic! Cheers!! Also, if I were doing the puzzle... I would have done it the way you did. BUT I am the sort of person who gets a kick out of taking things apart and figuring out how they work, so I understand your slight regret. 👍👍

Sorry, but I had to laugh at the mixture of force and finesse that Chris used to crack the puzzle. The puzzle box was very well-thought-out and the wood finish was very good indeed. Thanks, Chris for keeping us entertained during lockdown, it is appreciated by all of us, I'm sure. Keep safe and well everyone.
