Magnificent. Not only are the puzzles and mechanisms breath-taking, but the boxes themselves can also be quite functional as they tend to have very large spaces inside, which is not always true with many other puzzle boxes.

I build guitars on occasion (I'm much more into building amps and pedals) but I have just enough wood working experience to understand what must go into these which makes me appreciate what he is doing even more. Does this guy sell his puzzles in some kind of unique marketplace? It seems that every one of his little creations is unique - meaning that they would be very expensive. Incredible to think what they might sell for in a competitive bidding environment. I really liked this video, a lot of information (if you're new to puzzle boxes) packed into a very compact short. I could have watched a much longer version of this, easily 20 - 30 minutes. Any chance of a longer edit Charlie? For some reason it's really interesting to watch other people solving puzzles, and I would have liked to have seen the interviewer try a few more. Wood is such a beautiful material, and working with it seems to be the complete antithesis of the insane digital age we live in.

He has his own site. The puzzles are EXTREMELY expensive ($475 on the low end and $7,500 on the high end), but given the labor and skill involved I can definitely understand why.

Mr. Sound's talents are undeniable. I really enjoy puzzle boxes and watching certain content creators solve them. The Rune Cube was particularly interesting, b/c while I'm not necessarily a huge fan of those puzzles, where the internal maze has to be navigated, and the viewer can't see what's happening, Mr. Sound's creation has that interaction all take place on the outside of the puzzle.

I love and collected Kagan's puzzles for years. And then he priced himself out of my ability to buy them. I used to think $500-$1,000 for a puzzle was expensive, but that only touches his simplest puzzles these days. I wish him all the luck, because he puts out some amazing works of art. On par with him are Robert Yarger (Stickman), although he hasn't put out a new puzzle in a few years, and up and coming Jesse Born who has been converting his wooden puzzles into 3d printed puzzles in order to sell to many different markets. These guys are all great.
