In crafts class the teacher said this year we are allowed to do our own projects (basically we make whatever we want, small, big, easy, complicated) and there are no boundaries other than the available material. I want to make a puzzle box (or rather a "magic tower" more than a box) since it allows me to use so many different techniques and materials in one project, so I'm trying to find ideas in puzzle solving videos. I know exactly how you feel!! I've been searching for adventures just like these, while I'll never be able to afford $20,000 to spend on one I'd gladly do it if I could!! I've played all of the games online in the "The Room" series (if you have not played you need too!) And I've always wished I could get my hands on a real puzzle box just like those!! My Father was a magician and taught me a lot of the old school tricks and prop secrets.. that was the start of my love for these wonderful contraptions!! Love your channel!! I live vicariously thru you!! If you have any recommendations for a company who's boxes are good quality yet affordable I'd love to hear them.. Glad to find another like me!!

@@Heisenberdy Chris regularly has puzzles that cost him personally. He used to tell us how much they cost, and still does for the ones he buys from the maker or he has made for him. However, with things like the Poplocks or Will Strebos puzzles, they get snapped up immediately they go on sale (usually these are VERY limited editions), so he has to buy them online (eBay etc.). With those puzzles he says what they cost from the maker, NOT how much he paid on eBay! Also don't forget Chris has a number of searches constantly running and looking for SPECIFIC puzzles he wants. Anyway, that long-winded explanation is just to say that, Yeah.... He buys these puzzles himself (probably with money generated by this channel).
