@Danny There are two types of tiles, 3 each, that are mirror images of each other. If you flip em over the other color comes up, so that doesn't help (unless you go 3D which allows to shift the flipped part). In many tries you saw one piece was left over that only had to be mirrored, now exchange that with a mirrored part from another set. (Or even exchange all 3 bright parts you see in 10:56 against 3 dark parts after laying out the two puzzles in the same manner, then you only need to rotate 180 one of the halves).

A rectangle doesn’t match all the requirements.

You know what’s harder than getting yourself outside of the box when you’re constantly in your own head? Getting yourself outside of the box when you’re trying to get inside of the puzzle box. Then it becomes paradoxical. Getting out to get in.

@XoIoRouge5 жыл бұрын

@brianunger15 жыл бұрын
It may seem cheap but personally, I don't think that is what defines a good puzzle. For me, a good puzzle is one that challenges me to find the solution. Sure its just wood and the solution seems obvious but I wonder how many of our friends would struggle to find it if we put this down in front of them? I work at an escape room part-time and some of the things people lose the most time on are very easy solutions.

Brian Unger well... it’s like if they said the solution was to just use 4 block and make a rectangle because a rectangle is a square technically... so yeah, it’s a kind of dumb solution as we tell you what you NEED to end up with but the solution gives something else, therefor it’s very easy to not find it... just like playing Guess who but tell the truth 50% of the time, no shit your opponent won’t find the solution
