I've been using that rear step drill a lot. Now I have loading into my rear leg as my trigger to go on all shots. I go back to that and the forward step you showed whenever my sequence feels out of whack. Thanks for the other tips Chris!

Thanks Chris another great lesson. Coincidentally I’m reading about Mo Norman right now and he was a remarkable man with amazing accuracy 19 recording hole in ones. Quite a unique style of straight arms at setup, that I’ve tried with my irons and they go miles, but my driver goes off to the left so don’t use.

Could you do a video on what would cause clipping the ground with driver or “drop kicking”?

Surely the main reason we hit slices/big fades is due to early extension and not a case of leaving the club face open ???
@scannon449216 күн бұрын
It's swinging down and across. Which will mean you open the face to ensure you don't hit it dead left

I’m not sure early extension is the main cause of a slice, it can contribute of course, but it’s usually a symptom of another fault preceding It

@ChrisRyanGolf with my one brain cell I would have thought that moving forward/early extension would lead people to manipulate other things in the swing to get contact on the ball. Just my theory 😁
@ChrisRyanGolf10 күн бұрын
@ yeah that’s definitely. It incorrect it does tend to influence other things in the swing. A slice is typically an out to in path at impact, early extension is a move which tends to shallow the club shaft, so in theory the more early extension you have the more the club path is likely to be in to out. That move does also tend to open the face so that could definitely cause a right miss too. Essentially everything is connected, so no right or wrong and ee can be part of the fault, I just wouldn’t say I see it as one of the main factors in my experience

@ChrisRyanGolf I slice , that's probably years of playing cricket 🏏, having a dodgy back and being old 🥺 (53) 😆. Thanks for your replies, makes total sense 👍
