I think Jeremy from the Quartering put it best in his video comparing it from 2 different point of views. Its the difference between MAGA and traditional Christian conservatives. MAGA is wanting to make sure we have any and all votes for November in the short term to make sure that Trump gets elected and then later we can start fixing the country to what it was like in 2016. Traditional Christian conservatives are concerned about long term consequences because if we are not careful about what are core values are and people confuse what we stand for, then what do we actually stand for. And for now I dont care that much one way or the other especially since Republicans dont share most of the values I have as a Catholic conservative anymore but I agree Trump winning is the important thing right now. However…I will say the fact that she used this opportunity to sell 50% off of her subscriptions is NOT helping her case. Just my opinion

Nobody who was going to vote Republican before is going to switch to the demoncrats because of Amber Rose. Some people that she appeals to might switch their vote because they saw her at the convention. I don't agree with her lifestyle or probably much of anything else, but the reality is that Trump appeals to a much wider base of voters than Republicans traditionally have. I would say it was a worse look for the Republicans having Hulk Hogan up there. I don't agree with the way he has been unfairly vilified but there are still some voters that are not hardline conservatives that might be turned off by something with his perceived reputation as a racist. He is also seen as a punch line these days because he constantly tells verifiable lies about his career. Just kind of a jackass who constantly tries to insert himself into every major event in the history of wrestling through the 80s and 90s even though his career on its own merits would have been impressive enough. The reason Walsh is wrong is from a practical standpoint. He can stand on his morals, and that is fine. I can respect that, but Republicans are not going to win any elections if they only appeal to the Matt Walsh side of morality. Get used to always losing if you are going to exclude the Amber Rose's of the world and those who she appeals to. The reality is that it is vital that the demoncrats do not win this election if you want there to be any semblance of the USA left.

As a Christian myself I think it was very important that she spoke. Like many of the people responding to Matt's bad take, Amber reaches circles that the Daily Wire and may places like it simply can not reach. Being exposed to Conservative values has the potential to help many of those people.

This is why I like Micheal Knowles more than I like Matt Walsh. Knowles is more understanding with flawed people, and Knowles is filled with Christ love. Matt Walsh is overly judgemental and runs off potential Trump supporters/voters with his religious extremism. Just like how Matt Walsh insulted his own audience for being okay with adult entertainer Brandi Love, attending a Turning Point USA convention. FnT peeps love jumping on Matt Walsh. Ya know its ok to have a moral compass and to warn about getting out of touch with the foundation of the party. We ALWAYS need people that remind us to maybe hold back and reel the reigns in. Preachers are NOT supposed to say whats popular but speak principle truth. It is up to the people (party voters) to decide what theyre willing to allow within their voting base and to gauge whether that will cause them to pull too far in a direction. The Dems have done that with Bernie, Squad, Progressives and chose to take that route and lose a sizable number of centrist Dems. Biden was elected bc he was the center left candidate in 2020 but once in immediately stole Bernie's homework and the rest is history. Likewise, if the GOP 100% followed Matt then it would certainly shrink their voting capacity. But NOT saying "well Im ok with it so long as Republicans win" then he sacrifices the credibility of his moral compass. I respect him for following his principles consistently. Matt Walsh is an overly judgemental religious extremist who is turning people away from the Right with his hateful condescending attitude towards sinners. Amber Rose is a flawed person who supports some very immoral things; but she also has some really good qualities that are to be admired. Instead of condemning Amber Rose for her screw ups, Matt Walsh should thank her for the good things she does and supporting the MAGA movement.
