In the spring, we’d make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. At the age of 18, I went off to evil medical school. At the age of 25, I took up tap dancing. I have a coworker who LOVES Disney SW. And he saw the OG films in theaters. Just a weird cat. He even said Acolyte ep 3 was 'not that bad' and that he kinda likes the 'thread' stuff. Today, he straight up told me he no longer recommends the show, and that it's just a "terrible time". I find his critique pretty telling since he worships at the house of mouse, but he said when it was said and done, he hates how they portray the Jedi, that Jedi should stand for heroism, doing the right thing, and empowerment. It's telling how a real life Disney SW lover told me to skip this show, and his line in the sand was Jedi being shown as dumb, obsessed, morally weak idiots. I also had a random guy in a ChickFilA drive through window tell me he didn't like the show. (I had a SW shirt on) Just strange how this show is even losing the ones that stuck around after TLJ.
@theevermind5 ай бұрын
I have zero problem with different factions describing the Force differently. We don't even have consensus in the real world on how real physics works and what forces are. And it's not like the SW world has a Large Midiclorian Collider to smash Force particles to see what they're made of. As everyone has been saying, the show just sucks with all its inconsistencies & nonsense. And even if people don't realize it sucks, their subconscious DOES realize it, which is why they lose interest.

180 million dollars is almost as much money as it cost creating three Lord of the Rings movies, but somehow the producers for the Acolyte somehow didn't have even close to as much content produced as those three movies, nor did this production team offer anything of value from spending 180 million, rather stealing, that money because there is no feasible reason why this show cost that much. The Acolyte should force government inquiry and audit, where did all that money go? This was a clear money laundering racket, find out who stole the money and prosecute.

Dont Focus on the Money, its gone. Disney owns so many outlets and Companies within the US nobody will ever touch them and here is why. let aside all the media, actors ect. Disney is the MAYOR Tax income Source for CA. Almost 45% of all taxes in this state are going trough Disney. They're untouchable because if they ever chose to, Disney can effectivilly ruin millions of Lifes on a whimp and the State would probably go bankrupt within a year. thats the problem, not the actors or KK. Its how big Disney is and why its so dangerous.

Someone clearly doesn't understand the concept of inflation. The LOR movies were released over 20 years ago. The value of the US dollar has plummeted since then. Specifically the US dollar has lost 43% of it's value since 2002. $200 Million dollars in 2002 would be worth roughly $350 Million dollars today.
@snugglestruggle84373 ай бұрын
@@kingzach74 Inflation or not, the literal value of what was and now is are nowhere near the same, even if the same amount of money was spent for both ideals of this franchise was equal in value, if that is to be given and to be considered "equal," what is now being produced cannot even display its near the same to what the prior works offered. What was spent on this product is not shown in the latest product offered, there is an egregious lack of "value" that should definitely be perceived in this product for amount of money spent. What this looks like to me is money laundering or filling the pockets of valueless hacks that depend upon nepotism to retain their luxurious lifestyles and to the direct harm of those lending such funds. There is a clear lack of value over showing the "bang for your buck" that prior works offered.

But deep deep down, I think they KNOW they're too incompetent to REALLY touch ACTUAL Star Wars lore. (Like they haven't TOUCHED Luke Skywalker after Return, in between the shit show of the sequels - the one thing fans have WANTED to see. Their REAL problem is COWARDICE. They play it "safe" relying on EXPLOITING DEI trends for popularity, and telling stories around the foundation, instead of actually pushing the lore/story/universe forward. So good on them.

(Was it even necessary to make the characters do something so outrageous?) 3. Did Smilo Ren just “fly” to the top of the mountain? 4. How did the elevator work if the entire energy system exploded in the fire? 5. How did the Senator know about the investigation? Who told him? And then who else knew (and yet the case is still supposedly hush-hush such that the High Council didn’t know)? 6. If the goal of the show is create moral relativism and redeem Mae such that the fire was an “accident,” are we going to forget that moments before she literally said, “I’ll kill you?”
