I've been rooting for Dylan O'Brien since his Teen Wolf days, he was a mad talent even then. Love seeing him get work, and I agree with Chris, I think he's got the skill to make it as a mega-star if the right project comes along.

You do know Chris didnt like the movie, right? Thats why he didnt review it because he doesnt want to talk trash about garbage movies. He is that ``honest``. He will see a lot of movies, but he will talk only about those he likes, disresecting his audience which deserves to hear his opinion on all kinds of movies. But, on the other habd, him not reviewing a movie it`s the same thing as reviewing and saying it`s bad because we know that he avoids reviewing a movie he thinks that movie it`s bad. As other people already said, he is a sellout, a spineless man, doenst have the balls to talk about movies fearing he will upset people in Hollywood of which he is not a part of. @-Arkin333 ай бұрын
I just watched it, and I'm fairly picky about the movies I watch. And now, while Dylan O'Brien is one of those actors that I will watch anything he's in, just because he's in it. So yes, this is definitely a case of, I saw Dylan O'Brien so I clicked. But I went into this movie genuinely thinking one thing. Went in thinking I'd like it but basically that would be it. My mind was absolutely blown. Every assumption and expectation flipped right on it's head. And this is without a doubt one of the best movies I've ever seen. Hands down. And yes it is in large part because of Dylans performance, but if anyone knows anything about that man, it's that he can absolutely carry a movie (or an entire TV series for that matter. We all know what I'm talking about don't play with me). But this really turned into one of those movies, where I sat down for the lead and literally stayed for the movie itself, the story, the theme, the concept. The everything. I'm still sort of in shock, can't exactly organize my thoughts... but to say phenomenal movie. And EVERYONE should definitely check it out, literally whether you follow Dylan O'Briens work or not. Just watch it, you will not regret it at all.

I started watching this review, then quickly paused and watched the film the fillowing day. So glad I went into this blind. Been a long time since a film surprised me and kept me engaged without spoonfeeding me the plot. This movie allowed the mystery to develop and the payoff was worth it. 2 scenes gave me goosebumps. Dylan is a great actor.
@blazenhearts3 ай бұрын
i totally agree with everything you said about the pacing and the lack of spoonfeeding. though it was slower than things tend to be now, it still had me hooked from the very beginning. i'll be honest that i only watched this movie because dylan o'brien was in it, but even if i hadn't been a fan of him this movie was truly incredible. i loved the dynamics between each of the characters and the minimal exposition made it really feel like we were peering into a moment of time as the characters themselves were seeing it. i thought the twists and ending were easy to follow if you payed attention. and ive never watched to discuss a movies little detail as much as this one. also i love that you kept your review vague, going in with minimal knowledge really makes this movie a whole new level of interesting.

I just finished the movie, I really enjoyed it. I love Southern supernatural, gothic, thriller, horror. I think for me, there’s very little rewatch-ability because my husband and I called the “twist” in the middle of the movie. The clues were laid out pretty clearly, and once a certain phrase comes out of a character’s mouth, it clicked for us. We both looked at each other and basically predicted the entire plot from beginning to end, which ended up being true. It’s not a “Sixth Sense” twist at the end very end and now you want to rewatch to catch the clues. At least that’s how it was for me (not speaking for everyone). Besides that critique, the acting was stellar and the atmosphere was so spooky. It’s a good October watch!

You mentioned it in the review so I'm not considering this spoilers, but I was really shocked (in a good way, I guess) just how sad the movie is. From the moment a certain character starts researching yearbooks (vague as possible) until the ending, I was really affected by where the movie was going. I loved this movie. My boyfriend saw something about it online and asked if I wanted to watch, the only thing I knew going into it was that it starred Dylan O'Brien. That was all I needed hahah. So glad I went into it blind

This movie gave me a noise bleed. But I love it because it lets the viewer put the pieces together, instead of movies today force feeding every clue and meaning

The acting in this movie is so on point. Completely forget it’s a movie. So great when dealing with a concept such as this. I definitely appreciate it to the highest 4:39
