Quoting one verse in isolation does not prove your point - Isaiah 9:6 predicts the Messiah as the God Man (El Gibbor), and the Messiah is called the Redeemer (Hebrew “Go’el,” meaning kinsman) throughout Isaiah, a prophet who also quotes the Lord saying: “I the LORD am the Redeemer, and beside me there is no Savior;” the WHOLE counsel of God makes it clear that Jesus is both Man and God, which agrees with the verse you quoted - he is Man, as our Saviour, but if you refuse to accept the testimony of Scripture about his nature, then as God he will be your Judge

@@rowanmarc when the young rich ruler came to Jesus he said “Good master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” The first thing Jesus said to him was: “Why do you call me good? God is the only one who is good”? (Mark 10:17-18). Before Jesus was crucified he prayed to God and he asked “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 27:39). So according to you, this is Jesus praying to himself and asking to not be crucified if possible and then not answering his own prayer. “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). I don’t know how Jesus would grow in wisdom if he’s God because God is all knowing. The Bible calls Jesus the son of God countless times. It never once says “God the son”. God said “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). Jesus was tempted (Matthew 4). God cannot be tempted (James 1:13). The trinity came into Christianity 300 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus. That’s clearly not a first century Christian teaching and it’s exactly what the Bible warns us about when talking about the false prophets that would come (2 Timothy 4:3-4) (Acts 20:28-30) (1 John 4:1-6) (Matthew 7:15-20)

Looks like you are being very selective about choosing scriptures (that belong to Christians), that agree with your doctrines. If Jesus was just a man who was sinful, what's the point on believing that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Then the Christadelphians remove the belief in an eternal hell, and the existence of the devil - which makes people able to pay for their own sins. Get to know the divine Jesus in the New Testament, rather than these other politically correct fabricated false Jesus from the 19th century American Cults of Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Christadelphns, and Steven Day Adventists. @@Logos3432-t5n devil or satan means adversary. Jesus tells Peter: “Get behind me Satan” (Matthew 16:23). God is even called Satan in the parallel accounts of 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles. “Again the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.” (2 Samuel 24:1). In the parallel account it says: “Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.” (1 Chronicles 21:1). God is called Satan because He was being an adversary to David who was sinning. Angels cannot sin (Romans 6:23; Luke 20:36). The Lucifer chapter does not contain the words devil, angel, or satan once. It is clearly speaking metaphorically about king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. The belief of an immortal soul isn’t even from the Bible, it’s from Greek philosophy. Plato had all of these philosophical works but he knew he was bound to die so he made up the idea of an immortal soul to give himself some hope of eternal life. You don’t go to heaven when you die. Jesus is the only one who has but he didn’t go as an immortal soul. He died, was dead for three days, resurrected and made immortal, on earth for about 40 more days, then ascended into heaven where he is now and where he will soon return from. Before he went into heaven he said “no man hath ascended into heaven” (John 3:13). In the third chapter of the whole Bible God says to Adam and Eve “for dust you are and to dust you will return”. Solomon writes in Ecclesiastes, “For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5). Not once is the term ‘immortal soul’ found in the Bible. The Bible is the authority. Hell doesn’t even exist. It just means the grave. There are three main words in the Authorised Version which have been rendered "hell". In the Old Testament it is the Hebrew word sheol; in the Greek of the New Testament there are two words, hades and gehenna. The word sheol was commonly used to indicate the abode of the dead below the earth. It is better rendered by "the grave" or "the pit". In the Authorised Version sheol has been translated "grave" and "hell" on 31 occasions each, and "pit" on three occasions. Sheol is therefore the grave, the common place of the dead where men's bodies are subject to decay. "Like sheep they are laid in the grave (sheol); death shall feed on them . and their beauty shall consume in the grave (sheol)" (Psalm 49:14). So far as the wicked are concerned, we have already established that they cannot possibly exist after death, suffering eternal torment and misery. The following passages are a selection from many: "The wicked shall perish . . . they shall consume away" (Psalm 37:20). "He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish" (Psalm 49:19,20). "The wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it" (Proverbs 2:22). "They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish" (Isaiah 26:14). "They shall be punished with everlasting destruction" (2 Thessalonians 1:9).

I don't mind these videos provided they get their facts straight. Believer in a Trinity or not, I still have to answer the question as to why the Apostles, in the face of an almost monomaniacal belief by the Jews in one God, should have so soft-pedalled on something at least as important as the resurrection. Even Jude writes about 'the faith once for all delivered to the saints', so I don't think the position here is quite as cut-and-dried as our friend appears to think. I appreciate the need for people to express opinions, but they shouldn't misrepresent the facts.

The doctrine of the Trinity was not invented at Nicea, but it was made the official universal doctrine at that point in time, as those kinds of things happen when you mix church and state, and the emperor himself is there, telling bishops what they should write in their statements, as you can read about in the book, "When Jesus Became God", by Rubenstein. This really is an important matter, since a non-human Jesus would defeat the effect of Christ's lifelong trial of faith and final self sacrifice upon the human conscience.

@@rowanmarc you cannot preexist yourself. Jesus is the son (descendant) of Abraham (Matthew 1:1). Jesus was the descendant God promised to Abraham. If Jesus existed before Abraham then God’s promises wouldn’t make sense. The context of Jn. 8:58 is Christ’s discourse with the Jews concerning Abraham. As far as they were concerned, Abraham was the greatest man who would ever live. Jesus is saying “I am now, as I stand here, more important than Abraham”. As they stood there, Jesus was the one to be honoured rather than Abraham. He is saying ‘I am now, more important than Abraham ever was’. It is possible to understand “before” in Jn. 8:58 with some reference to time, in the sense that before Abraham existed, Christ had been in God’s plan right from the beginning of the world. It was because Jesus was “before” Abraham in this sense that he was “before” him in terms of importance. In 2 Sam. 6:21 there’s a good example of “before” meaning ‘before’ in importance rather than time. David tells his wife: “The Lord chose me before your father (Saul)”. Actually, in terms of time, God chose Saul well before He chose David. But God chose David above Saul in terms of importance and honour.

how does this sect explain the virgin birth of Jesus? It is clear that Jesus received 23 chromosomes from Mary, but he also had to receive at least one chromosome from a male in order to resemble a male figure/form. That is why it says in the Word of God that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. I know it sounds strange, but this is the nail in the coffin for this sect.
@bramleycookingapple5 жыл бұрын
How is this " the nail in the coffin for this sect"? Christadelphians believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit; that is what the Bible teaches. What you cannot be sure of (even though most likely) was whether the egg of Mary was fertilized, or was a new fertilized egg implanted by the Holy Spirit into May's womb. What you have explained is correct. You have proved God had to be the father of Jesus and that fertilization was not from a human male. Your explanation is likely, just as with many more sects/cults (whatever term you use), who do not know about (and will find it had to accept initially) that the dried blood of Jesus was scraped off the Ark of the Covenant by Ron Wyatt, will be accepted eventually. The dried blood was tested by five laboratories around the world, and every independent analysis showed the blood to have had 23 chromosomes (not 23 pairs). A human was not involved in the fertilization of the egg. How fertilization came about had to be by the Holy Spirit (God's power). This does not change the understanding of the Christadelphians, or any other church believing the same; that Jesus is the Son of God, born a man, born of a woman by a virgin birth. Just because we have scientific knowledge today that was not known before, does not change the teaching of the Bible. The fact that the blood of Jesus only had 23 chromosomes and not 23 pairs, does not change the fact that Jesus was a man, grew from a child to become an adult and had to learn language etc. and had to suffer the same temptations as we do, but Jesus was without sin.

I got a whole understanding of who God was by reading the whole Chapter of John 1. It all came together that Jesus is God. I cried for 3 days and prayed for forgiveness. That was 30 years ago and I'm still charged up for Jesus. If one is seeking with their whole heart, mind and spirit, they will find God in John 1.

Unfortunately, the human mind can easily deceive and so we deceive ourselves into thinking we have understood all things correctly. I can say the same about John 1, although that chapter alone does not lead me to believe Yeshua is Yehovah, which he is not. Therefore, how do we resolve this difference of understanding John 1? I have spent the same number of years and more, studying the Bible and listening to talks, yet I do not find the Bible teaches the Trinity. Errors have crept in to the Bible and some are deliberate such as 1 John 5:7, which is not in any of the writings of the 1st Century. 1 John 5:7 has been inserted to uphold a belief that is someone's opinion, and unfortunately, unless people find these things out, they become deceived. It comes as no surprise to realize; "we have inherited lies". The only way to get to the truth is to; "rightly divide the word of Yehovah" and that means to rightly divide the whole of the Bible. We do not come to an understanding of the relationship between Yehovah and Yeshua in one chapter alone. The truth comes from an understanding of the whole of the Bible in which the message is seen to be consistent. Yehovah is not the author of confusion, but man is.

Whilst I admire your sincerity, I cannot agree with your last statement. There is only one God, yet we can all be gods. Jesus was human, and just as after the resurrection humans will become the same as Jesus and have his nature, that will not make them the same as God. To say that "God took on human flesh", and be emotional about that, you can be said to be anthropomorphic. There are so many arguments to make from the Bible against Jesus being God. I cite one example of the Apostle Paul, who explains (read 1 Cor 15) the role of Christ leading up to the time when Christ hands back to God the restored kingdom of God. Even then, Paul says that Christ/Jesus is subject to God, so that "God is all in all" (1 Cor 15:28). Clearly, Jesus is subject to God and therefore cannot be God's equal. How do you argue against the apostle Paul?

There is a way that seems right to a man, but then end therein is death. We seem to be seeing this come to pass all over the place these days. I'm amazed at all the people who wish to take away the Godhood of Jesus, but that is satan's main aim for him and always has been. He'll do anything to take Jesus down to nothing. Lotsa luck with that, right? God Is The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. I don't have to understand how that is. I accept that it is so. What a wondrous thing that is! I have come to learn over many years as a believer there are many things the Christian church gets totally wrong. Their current teachings are way off on many things. Dispensationalism, prophecy, sabbath, etc. I have also come to learn that the mainstream churches uses the term cult to define anyone who is isn’t just like them. It is a way to frighten and control believers to not question anything that is taught. We should all be bereans and study the scripture for ourselves. We have the Holy Spirit and no where in scripture are we told to just automatically believe someone just because they went to Bible college.

Whilst I agree with most of the above statement, we have to believe the words of Jesus as the words that come from God. Therefore, to take as one example the question of baptism and whether it is necessary (and there is a difference of opinion about this), Jesus said to John, "Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness". Surely, what Jesus did by example, is what we must do to fulfil all righteousness. Even in other matters, to know and not do, is a serious offence. It is agreed that ultimately, we are saved by God's grace. We must continue to search for truth, lest we deceive ourselves. Jesus said; "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth . What is truth, but God's word? Again, surely when Jesus gave the instruction; "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned", that makes baptism an important element in preaching the gospel in this age, and in salvation. Share the gospel, but first understand the gospel and share it in truth and do not promulgate lies through misunderstanding. The same words of Jesus as applied to the Hebrew scriptures equally apply to the New Testament writings that speak of Jesus; "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

This man mis-represents a non Trinitarian frame work. The Bible, taken at its word is very clear that Jesus and God are separate “people”. They clearly share a nature as God is Jesus’s father, just as humans and Jesus share a nature as Mary is his mother. That’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t require any mental or “Greek” language gymnastics. That Jesus is the Word made flesh in no way contradicts Jesus being a separate person. The “Word” is the creative force in Genesis 1, the Spirit or “wind” with a directed intelligence behind it the same as any human voice is a wind passing out of a body but modified by intelligence and formed into words which travel out of the speaker going out into the world and effecting some change, almost always by entering into another being and modifying that being’s interaction with the world such as, “can you hand me a fork” and then someone hands you a fork. The “Word” of God is His Spirit, driven by His intelligence to create. Jesus in His time is that same creative Word in Genesis 1, Thus since the Word was the creative agent in Genesis 1 and just as any human word is initially a part of the human who speaks it, is in fact inseparable from the human who speaks it when it is still internal to the human, yet once spoken separates from the human and becomes a new thing both connected to the speaker and distinct, that spoken word travels out of the speaker and effects change by entering into others affecting their thoughts and behaviors when other humans are involved, or perhaps to a lesser degree to modify the behavior of a lesser intelligence, maybe an animal or an infant or in its basest form is simply sound that impacts the environment through the simple wave form that sound takes in an atmosphere, thus Jesus is one with the Father and is present in the beginning and is the one through whom creation is accomplished, but in the form of God’s Word, which many millennia later God causes to become a human being. The Bible is clear on this, John is clear on this. No frame work or “Tri-unity” (a nonsensical term on its face) needs to be added to the Bible ESPECIALLY when adding such terms becomes a dogma by which if that term is rejected a person can be rejected as a follower of Christ wholesale. The Spirit of God modified by the mind of God to create Jesus is miraculous to be sure and not necessarily a quantifiable act for our part, but it isn’t difficult to understand since we average humans engage in the same behavior all the time, albeit a much less powerful form of it. Jesus’s connection to Isaiah’s vision isn’t hard to understand either. First off, Yahweh does not mean “I am”, that simply is not correct. Eh Yeh and then Yahweh spoken at the bush with Moses means “I will be” and “He will be” respectively and is referring to the soon to be creation of the nation of Israel, the people through which God will be revealed. Just as the phrase “The LORD of hosts” means “I will be many” refers to God’s promise to humanity that His likeness will be revealed in many humans, ultimately in the resurrection of the dead, the fulfillment of God’s intent for Adam to be God’s image and to be fruitful and multiply. Jesus fulfills this purpose through taking away the corrupt nature of man and provides for the reinstitution of God’s original intention. Jesus then is part of the Yahweh name, He is the integral part and is in the likeness of both his father and mother but is the perfect image of the father. It follows that the similarity to the Son on a throne and the father on a throne appear the same, especially in a biblical sense although it can be true in a typical human sense as well. The “early church fathers” were not perfect people in their doctrine. There are myriad instances where they don’t agree with each other and the history of the church modifying its beliefs is a constant one. If by the presenter’s logic we ought to be following accepted church doctrine or we are “heretics” then we should all be Catholic and the reformation which claimed a “rebooted” understanding of the “original truth” and departed from Catholic dogma was heretical (something Catholics still claim today) and should be cast aside because it forsakes universal doctrine. This is a straw man argument and a specious reasoning. The truth once delivered to the saints is the word of God which is the Bible, not Poly Carp’s reported words about it. The Bible, carefully read is understandable by your average person. There of course are complexities within and there are cultural hurdles to jump since it’s a collection of ancient near eastern scrolls. But these complexities are definitely understandable by anyone who meditates on the Word, and the cultural hurdles aren’t that hard to jump especially today with the wealth of knowledge accessible to most of us. The essential message of this video seems to be to trust church dogma (but only from very specific time stamps in church history) and not to try and understand the Bible for yourself because you’ll likely become a heretic. Personally I’m extremely wary of any person or group which advocates for not trusting my own mind and senses in favor of trusting a large group to decide for me, especially when that large group is itself, upon close inspection fractious and often has been amoral in the extreme to enforce its doctrine which incidentally is part of the reason for the reformation and even for the leaving behind of God entirely in atheism. Dogma can and should give way to a simple understanding of the Bible, accessible by any average person. If we need arbiters of truth to think and reason for us we start to resemble a community that requires a priestly class to meditate between us and God on our behalf. If we want to talk about dangerous dogma I’d say that one rides pretty high and endangers the place of Jesus (which incidentally) is exactly what Catholicism has done.

I find it fascinating that Philo, like other scholars of the Jewish scriptures, perceived the multi-unity of God in the texts of the OT. Here are some examples of Philo attempting to expound this idea. (215) For there are, as it seems, two temples belonging to God; one being this world, in which the high priest is the divine word, his own firstborn son. The other is the rational soul, the priest of which is the real true man, the copy of whom, perceptible to the senses, is he who performs his paternal vows and sacrifices, to whom it is enjoined to put on the aforesaid tunic, the representation of the universal heaven, in order that the world may join with the man in offering sacrifice, and that the man may likewise co-operate with the universe. (108) This difficult and scarcely explicable perplexity we may escape if we adopt the inner and allegorical explanation in accordance with natural philosophy. For we say that the high priest is not a man, but is the word of God, who has not only no participation in intentional errors, but none even in those which are involuntary. (109) For Moses says that he cannot be defiled neither in respect of his father, that is, the mind, nor his mother, that is, the external sense; because, I imagine, he has received imperishable and wholly pure parents, God being his father, who is also the father of all things, and wisdom being his mother, by means of whom the universe arrived at creation; (62) I have also heard of one of the companions of Moses having uttered such a speech as this: "Behold, a man whose name is the East!" A very novel appellation indeed, if you consider it as spoken of a man who is compounded of body and soul; but if you look upon it as applied to that incorporeal being who in no respect differs from the divine image, you will then agree that the name of the east has been given to him with great felicity. (63) For the Father of the universe has caused him to spring up as the eldest son, whom, in another passage, he calls the firstborn; and he who is thus born, imitating the ways of his father, has formed such and such species, looking to his archetypal patterns. Chapter 11 (47) for God, having filled everything with himself, is near at hand, so that he is looking over everything and standing by, we being filled with a great and holy reverence, or if not with that, at all events, having a prudent fear of the might of his authority, and of the fearful nature of his punishment, which cannot be avoided, whenever he determines to exert his punishing power, shall desist from doing wrong. In order that the divine spirit of wisdom may not be inclined to quit our neighbourhood and depart, but that it may remain a very long time with us, as it did also with the wise Moses;

The following is not simply pasted in, but is a direct response to give my understanding of human nature, the death of Yeshua and the kingdom of Yehovah to come. Before coming across this video (to which I had to respond), I came across first a video from the Christadelphians titled; 'A Religion That Makes Sense'. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/enqYfnijerGGj6M) While not perfect (and which church is?), I think the Christadelphians do make more sense that most other denominations. Yeshua had a genesis; in other words, Yeshua's beginning was when he was born (no pre-existence). This event was known by Yehovah from the beginning. Yehovah knew the Glory Yeshua would have finally, and this was known from the beginning. Only when Yeshua successfully overcame the human nature that Adam and Eve had been made with, and which all humans inherited ever since was Jesus given his immortal nature. When Yeshua was conceived in the womb of Mary, it was by God's power. Whether it was Mary's egg that was fertilized, or a new fertilized egg (as was created in Eve), we are not told, but that would be a possibility to explain the way in which Yeshua was conceived and had the same human nature that both Adam and Eve started with. Now Yeshua vindicates Yehovah for creating Adam and Eve with their human nature by proving it possible to remain obedient just as Adam and Eve could have remained obedient, but they reasoned humanly and therefore they did not remain obedient, hence their sin. Yeshua tells us the origin of all evil (leading to sin) and it comes from within. There is no external Devil). . The fact is; whereas both Eve first, then Adam sinned, Yeshua would not make the same mistake. Yeshua did not listen to the Serpent (personification representing human thinking). Yeshua took his teaching from Scripture, with guidance from his mother, and later, direct communication from Yehovah. Yeshua was committed from an early age (12) to doing the will of his heavenly father. This he did perfectly combating times of temptation by recalling Yehovah's word (the Hebrew scriptures). Yeshua did what was humanly achievable, but all other humans fail, because they lack the will to obey Yehovah completely and do not do as Yeshua did. Yeshua remained sinless, even though his nature had the propensity to sin. Yeshua won the victory over what the Apostle Paul (only) writes as "the carnal mind",which Paul says is "enmity with Yehovah". It is this part of human nature (human reasoning) that Yehovah cursed when he cursed the Serpent (representing human thinking). This is why in the Kingdom of Yehovah, the Satan/Devil/Serpent (all one of the same - carnal mind) are thrown into the 'Lake of Fire'. In the final Kingdom of Yehovah on this earth, everyone will be righteous and so Yehovah's Glory will fill the earth as he has promised. A fact that is forgotten and is not mentioned by the speaker in the video is; Yeshua was raised from the dead by Yehovah. Yeshua would have remained dead for eternity had not Yehovah preserved Yeshua's spirit. According to scripture (Yehovah's word), the body of Yeshua would be raised on the third day. Yeshua was raised and given an immortal body, hence and immortal nature. Now Yeshua cannot die and in that respect is the same as Yehovah who cannot die. Yehovah has given Yeshua, the complete access to Yehovah's power, and right to judge. On his resurrection, Yeshua became the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. When Yeshua returns to set up the kingdom of Yehovah, then Yeshua will appear as though Yehovah, having been granted by Yehovah, all power and authority to judge. Paul explains in 1 Cor 15:28, that once Yeshua, hands over the kingdom to his father, Yeshua is still subject (of lower status) to Yehovah, so that Yehovah is then seen to be "all in all". Here is the final point I want to make and this my understanding from 1 John 3:2 "but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him". This is confirmed by the fact that Yeshua is the firstfruit begotten from the dead. The dead are raised to have immortality conferred on them as the free gift of Yehovah, made possible by the victory and sacrifice of Yeshua. All those resurrected and living in the kingdom of Yehovah, will have the same nature as Yeshua, yet they are not Yehovah, just as Yeshua was not, and is not, Yehovah. The conclusion has to be that Yeshua was human as we all are, and in the kingdom of Yehovah, all those raised and given immortality have the same nature as Yeshua. From that time on, the only way it could be said that humans have an equality with Yehovah is by the fact that they are immortal and will never die. All will be subject to Yehovah having the spirit of the two great commandments written in their hearts and forevermore will not sin, just as the Angels now do not sin, but do the will of Yehovah. That is my understanding over the decades I have considered these things and studied the Bible to find out what it truly means by resolving the apparent errors, conflicts, and inconsistencies the opponents of Yehovah's word use to discredit the Bible. The Bible is true, and every man (except Yeshua) is a liar. 1Jn_2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Your whole argument falls down on one point - you claim that Yeshua has no pre-existence, but the Bible specifically states that He did: Micah 5:2 predicts the Messiah’s goings have been from of old, from eternity, written centuries before his birth - and Jesus himself said, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” Yeshua existed before Abraham because he is God

Jesus died as a representative of us all, that through him & by faith on his name, we receive the grace of God, forgiveness of sins& eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord! To say that God took on the form of human flesh and died is to fudge scripture and give excuse to those who say it is impossible for man to live a perfect life in obedience to God. First of all; God is spirit and he cannot be less than he is. Flesh is inferior to God's spirit substance. To substitute Jesus for God is to deny the victory of Jesus in overcoming that part of human nature that leads to sin; namely the "carnal mind" as stated by the apostle Paul. It was necessary for a man (human) the man Jesus to prove it was possible for a human to be obedient to God and in so doing vindicates God for making man (Adam and Eve) as he did. Jesus tells us the origin of all sin and sin originates within each one of us. It can be simply referred to as the carnal mind that is responsible for sin. Even James confirms this (James 1:14-16). Jesus overcame the carnal mind that led him to be tempted after he had received the sign of the Holy Spirit descending upon him. Jesus had the whole power of God made available to him to use in any way he chose. We know how Jesus was guided to overcome the temptations he suffered. The story of Abraham offering his on Isaac gives us a prophetic clue when Abraham says; God will provide for himself a lamb". Note; "for himself"; not himself. Hence John the Baptizer announced' "Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world". Jesus overcame the world/devil/carnal mind and because of that, God could not let him remain in the grave and so raised him from the dead to be the first-fruit giving us all hope and reassurance in the resurrection of the dead. Jesus could lay down his life because he had received the assurance from God that he would receive his life again and not only life, but immortality. The death and resurrection of Jesus is so profound and the fact that he is promised to return is reason why he should be remembered by the partaking of bread and wine; Luk_22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. In a spiritual way, we are to eat his body and drink his blood. Jesus says; Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Joh 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

You, speaker in this video said that baptism ist totally essential for salvation because the good thief wasn't baptised. Firstly nobody before Jesus death were baptised, because baptism is being baptised into His death, and as He was resurected so are we born to the newness of life as we come up out of the water. It's symbolic of being crucified with Him. In that respect the 'good thief' was baptised, he was literally crucified with Him. Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Peace to you who truly believe

I'm beginning to think the Christadelphians are onto something. As anyone with a lick of common sense should know that saying the Word is God doesn't make it God. It's obvious the Word reveals Yahweh as does Yeshua. And you certainly can't say that the Holy Spirit is a person and then say God is a spirit. And let us make man in our image could be a conversation between just two people. If Yeshua was Yahweh, he would say we should pray to Him and not Yahweh. And the scripture never states what the beginning was. So if Yeshua was in the beginning of creation, it doesn't mean he has always existed like Yahweh has. The Protestant churches teach a lot of false beliefs, because they borrowed from the Catholic Church which corrupted and still corrupts everything. Ask any Protestant pastor if the Earth is motionless and flat like the Bible indicates and they'll say no, it's as the pagan's believe and Hollywood portrays.

Christadelphians have been deceived, whilst saying they believe the Bible, they don't believe in the existence of the devil. Also this "church" renounce their own members if they question their beliefs. I should know, I was one of these unfortunate people.
@bramleycookingapple6 жыл бұрын
That is not entirely true. There are times when Christadelphians withdraw their fellowship from another brother or sister in Christ. However, no-one can withdraw another person's fellowship with their God. It is not true that Christadelphians cannot disagree and remain united. The following applies no matter what church/ecclesia. If you disagree so much as to not be comfortable with brethren and sisters when breaking bread, and/or asking for God's forgiveness when harbouring a sort of hatred towards a brother or sister over a disagreement/difference of opinion/belief, then it is better to separate and meet with those (of like faith) who you can break bread with. Where possible, any point of disagreement should be settled before breaking bread. Paul tells us not to break bread to one's condemnation. As with any church/ecclesia, it is a pity when anyone so passionate in what they believe feels it necessary to withdraw their fellowship to have to meet elsewhere. Of course, where a brother or sister in Christ changes their belief in such a drastic way; for example; to believe that Jesus is God, or that God took on human flesh and died, then that is so contradicting the Christadelphian belief that Jesus is not God, then I would have to agree that under those circumstances, to fellowship with one another and and have peace of mind at the same time, is not going to be possible. It is better to agree to disagree and separate and meet with like-minded people. In the end, we all have to depend on the mercy and grace of God to be given his gift of eternal life after being judged worthy according to all we have done and what we believe and who we have faith in.

Thanks for your effort in replying, however Im lead to believe that the Christadelphians do not believe in the existence of the devil in opposition to the word, Example; Rev 12:9, Matt 4 & Gen 3
@bramleycookingapple5 жыл бұрын
@@stevechilton8420 Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. This verse tells me; Satan/Devil/Serpent are one of the same thing. Whilst the Dragon of Rev 12 has been considered to the the Roman Catholic church, that system is an organization of "carnal minds" that are not preaching God's truth. What about Genesis 3? My own thoughts on this, which are not accepted by everyone (even Christadelphians I know) is that God in cursing the Serpent, God is cursing the carnal mind (human thinking in opposition to God). To reach this conclusion, I first had to reach the conclusion that the Serpent which spoke with Eve, is the Bible use of personification in which some inanimate thing is presented as person. The same if found elsewhere. I also think there could have been another serpent creature (snake) which Eve saw on the tree and because of what God had said and the snake had not died, then Eve was beguiled (deceived) into what she concluded. The seed of the Serpent has been inherited by all generations. Even Jesus had to overcome it, which he did successfully. The only way to speak well of God (IMO) is not to think God created the Serpent, or a supernatural being to deceive men and women, or that God's Holy Angels can sin and not obey him. Such ideas have moral problems associated with them and those problems have to be addressed. It cannot be said; "there are no moral problems in believing God created the Serpent or the Devil or fallen Angels". To say that would be part of the problem. In order to speak well of God, all evil has to originate from within us (the carnal mind). That is what Jesus taught (Mark 7:21) and that is what I understand and believe.

I've never heard such a load of rubbish in the interpretation of Jn 1:1. The Logos.GK, word, is spoken word, utterence, speech, intent which reveals the thought of the one speaking..... not God or JC. next; the word was with God (the Father)..obviously. Next: the word was God. The Gk tense is that the word spoken earlier reveals who spoke it just like when I speak, it reveals the person I am. To show that the Logos is not a person but a thing, In V2 When the term ""He"" is used (KJV) in these verses the GK is in the neuter gender. The literal word spoken is not literally a God/person but an expression, ie...an ""it"" (JC is not an it) eg "The world (ages) were made by ""ÏT"""ie the word spoken...Simple really. You can test this by asking ones self of v14; what was the word ""BEFORE"" it became flesh. Wasn't it a spoken word? Therefore the thoughts or intent of that spoken word by the Father wasn't manifested as a person until the Lord Jesus came along. Regards, Phil.

Man is the glory of God. The glory of God the Logos is the man Jesus of Nazareth, God's only son begotten from a virgin. We saw him, the man Jesus, and we handled him who is the life that was in the Logos. That is John's testimony. In the Logos was life. My newborn son was in my wife and came out from her but my son is not my wife. It is not the Logos but the glory of the Logos and the light of men from within the Logos that John handled. Concerning the word of life the life was manifested and not the Logos. Jesus is the life and light that came out from the Logos. Adam came out from God the Holy Spirit, the Last Adam came out from God the Logos. Adam is not the Holy Spirit and neither is Jesus the Logos.

I would not call the Apostle John a theologically uneducated and arrogant man. He correctly identified the apostasy in Rev 17 as the Catholic church in Rome built on 7 hills. The woman is the "mother of harlots" (Protestants) It was the Jesuits who came up with the futurist Antichrist idea to counter the Reformation when people like Tyndale realized who the man of sin really was. If you wish to be part of that system you will reap the consequences . You are a blind leader of the blind. the problem with your interpretation of Revelation 17 is that it contradicts other Scriptures. Jesus said about the church that "the gates of hell would not prevail against it." In other words, although the church has gone through periods of being lukewarm, and has been undermined by false teaching, she has always existed. There have ALWAYS been genuine Christians - so to say that there was not true church for centuries, until John Thomas came along to restore it, contradicts the teaching of Jesus himself. John Thomas is simply too late in history for his claims to be true (Matthew 16:18).
