Hi everyone! Im an 18 year old guy and I just want to tell girls who have decided to wait that, "don't ever change your mind about it for some one else! Like she said, there are guys out there waiting and maturing for you with the same morals!" I know some guys can be jerks, but there are still good guys out there! Don't give up! You wont regret it!

Great points! I'm 22, a virgin and waiting until marriage. God blessed me with my boyfriend who is also a virgin. It's so hard sometimes but it will be worth the wait🙌🏾✨
@mainslservices98317 жыл бұрын
IH I completely respect your right to your opinion on this issue. However, what concerns me is that many conservative Christians try to make laws that criminalize extramarital sex. As for whether the Bible require you to be a virgin or not, I actually don't think it does. It definitely doesn't say in any of the 10 Commandments or anywhere else in the Bible that you can't wear a bikini. Here's why: First of all, the Bible also says that you can't eat pig, wear mixed fabrics, cut your hair, and so on. Not to mention, the New Testament says that women have to cover their hair when they pray and that disobedient children are to be killed. Do you follow either of those rules? If not, then it makes literally no sense to use the Bible to condemn extramarital sex. One of the Ten Commands says not commit adultery, but adultery means a married person having sex with another married person who isn't their own spouse. Also, I've researched the original Greek Bible and one things that many people like you don't seem to be aware of is that in many of the verses that appear to condemn extramarital sex, the original Greek text translates to terms that at the time and context in which the Bible was written, meant temple prostitution and people in positions of power raping children. Keep in mind that when the Bible was written, it was fairly common, particularly in Ancient Rome, for people to use sex as part of worship. Sex in the the culture that the Bible was written in was often significantly more violent than it is today.
@michaelwinn96826 жыл бұрын
Mainsl Services: I'm sorry, but you are deceiving people and drawing them away from Truth. The Holy Bible clearly and emphatically states extramarital sex and premarital sex is a sin. Here are a few verses: 3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5) 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28) 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Mark 10:6-9) 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18) Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.…(1 Corinthians 6:19-20) 4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. (Hebrews 13:4) Your comments about eating pork and covering hair or whatever do not apply to this. When Christ Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant, believers were delivered from the Law, that is the Levitical Law. God's moral laws still stand and shall always stand. So, yes, you can go get a tattoo and have a ham sandwich, but, no, you can't go sleeping with someone you are not married to in the same sense that you can't go around killing people. Regarding your comments about bikinis... The Holy Bible is clear in regards to modesty, as well. You are not supposed to dress in any manner that draws attention to yourself and away from God. You are also not supposed to dress in a manner that may cause others to stumble. Remember, we are supposed to love God and love others. The comments written about modern interpretations of scripture being changed by translation are simply untrue. The Bible says what it says and has been preserved by Almighty God. It is a common tactic of the enemy to twist verses to get them to say what people want -- usually saying sin is OK. Christ Jesus call us to forsake the world and its values and to live righteously and holy. Jesus cautions us about being lukewarm Christians. Don't be fooled by people who try to water-down what it means to be born again of the Spirit. We are called to be new creations in Christ!

I hate to have to tell you this, but sex isn't a trend. It's a biological function that serves to perpetuate the species. It's so hardwired into your brain that no amount of Bible verses can ever get it out. Accept it. Embrace it. Be safe and responsible with it. But above all, ENJOY it.
@FarAwayDistance7 жыл бұрын
jlg395 Hi! Justin was talking about society's trend of having sex before marriage. This idea has changed a lot throughout history. The Scarlett Letter is a perfect example of how differently societies used to view sex before marriage. The Bible's take on sex has always been the same. Hope that clears that up!

“No function is so exhausting to the whole system as this. If excessively indulged in, no practice can possibly be so enervating. J. Bradford Sax probably over estimates the amount of energy consumed in coition when he says, “Probably more of the nervous fluid or influence is expended in a single sexual crisis than would suffice to carry on all the vital operations, perhaps for a day. At any rate the energy expended is very considerable and if the act is indulged in daily, or even weekly, the indulgent individual need not hope for health and strength. Man is sexually perverted. He is the only animal that has his `social problem,’ the only animal that supports prostitution, the only animal that practices self-abuse, the only animal that is demoralized by all forms of sexual perversions, the only animal whose male will attack the females, the only animal where the desire of the female is not the law, the only one that does not exercise his sexual powers in harmony with their primitive constitution.” “Who can say,” interrogates Dr. Dixon, “that these excesses are not often followed by direful diseases, insanity and consumption? The records of our madhouses, and the melancholy deaths by consumption, of the newly married, bear ample witness to the truth of this assertion. Are they not transmitted to posterity? Look at the frequent mental imbecility, and the pallid hue, and attenuated form of the children who are the earlier products of marriage, and see the parents vibrating between life and the grave, until the candid physician, or the terrors of death teach them to abstain Of all members of the mammalian family, civilized man alone is a victim of an exaggerated and morbid sexual urge, a condition which he has inflicted, to a certain extent, on the animals which he has domesticated and which have adopted his diet, especially the dog. Wild animals in a state of nature practice copulation only at certain mating seasons for the purpose of reproduction. Civilized man practices this act at all times, and in most cases without intention to conceive. On the other hand, so-called savages and primitive races leading more natural lives and who follow their natural instincts to a greater extent are far chaste in their sexual behavior, as noted by Havelock Ellis. Such considerations must lead one to the conclusion that the sex life of civilized men is unnatural and that the excessive manifestation of the sex urge among them is due to certain aphrodisiacal stimuli rather than to natural instinct; among such stimuli are a high-protein meat diet (accompanied by physical inactivity), the use of tobacco, alcohol and coffee, sexually stimulating literature, dramas, motion pictures, conversation, etc

I feel ya. It certainly isn't easy watching other guys with girls I know they're using, and then having to listen to them brag about their immoralities. I turned 22 a few months ago and I just need to remember that life isn't a competition. And I shouldn't envy others, even though I wish I was married by now. What's really tough is that a lot of people I know have gotten married recently.

Thank you for this video. Hi, I'm a 27 year old guy from The Netherlands. I decided to wait until marriage on a young age. And I have always been open and honest about that, when I was in a relationship. and yet, all four of my past relationships, ended with me getting dumped, after a few months, because they didn't want to wait any longer. So video's like these really help. And It let's me know, that I'm not the only one, waiting for that special someone.

As a *33* yr old Christ follower who is still waiting and following the Lord's guidance, I must say I'm impressed that someone as young as you (hope that's not offensive) would create such a video. What an impression! Your video was recommended in my feed awhile ago and I finally watched. I was 12/13 yrs old in middle school when I received the same wisdom and made the decision to wait. It's so important and out of this world to be different and set apart, but so much heartache saved. When I thought I was feeling left out, I remembered the Lord was protecting me, not neglecting me. Over time I'd run into so many old and new friends who gave away their gifts, had children out of wedlock with no support, had their hearts broken and created soul ties with their guys at the time and mostly all of them ended with a breakup and heartache. So very refreshing to see other like - minded individuals set themselves apart for the glory of the Lord. His favor rests on you. God bless.

I stayed faithful and patient waiting on the Lord in my decision to wait until marriage (while being 22 and single). I finally met my future husband at age 24, and we dated for 4 Years before getting married. marriage is harder than those years as a single celibate young woman. marriage is harder than those 4 years dating while waiting. keep the faith! it gets Better and even when it gets challenging, it's OK too because you have that one person chosen by God by your side through the thick and thin. give your hearts desires to the Lord and he will be faithful. God bless!

Very wise decision sister to wait and yes it is respect for your future husband. I did fornicate in the past but I was born into a Hindu family and didn't know the truth. Its been 5 years now since I kept myself pure and it was only possible through our Lord Jesus Christ! The best decision I ever made and will ever make. Just want to share something with you that gave me greater encouragement to stay as I am. A few weeks back I was speaking to a friend on Facebook, we were fellowshipping and she shared her story with me and it gave me so much hope that there are actually real true godly women still in this world. This woman is 24 years old, she is a virgin, but what amazed me is that she hasn't ever kissed a guy before because she is saving that for her marriage day. That blew me away, I thought that was simply beautiful,I never thought I would encounter such a beautiful soul and this girl is breathtakingly beautiful, just simply gorgeous, intelligent and very sound in doctrine. For the sad part about it is she left Facebook just two weeks ago, that made me sad for a few days because I never connected with some one on such a deep, spiritual level before. She did tell me she was leaving a few times for important reasons and she'll never forget me, so I do hope we do cross paths sometime in the future. One thing for certain is that she did strengthened me and gave me that extra hope I needed to continue to live as I am for Christ😇😇😇

I believe sex before marriage can leave a person feeling broken, even if the couple is well together. It keeps people from feeling truly free and being their best. Dating is not marriage, so you gotta set boundaries The person that you are with should respect you and want your best, even if it means denying a desire of their own for a while. They should want to see you at your best. That's the highest form of cherish People can offer each other way more than sex in a relationship

It was surely worth the wait! We're still very happy with that after 40 years marriage. Long term happiness is where you should go for. And obedience to God.

I got most of you youngun's beat. I'm a thirty-four year old Christian man who is still waiting. I'm NOT ashamed of it at all. Why be ashamed of not doing the wrong thing? You ARE good enough and it IS worth waiting! Pray to God for strength and he will fortify you. You're not alone. If we draw close to God, he will draw close to us.

Aww awesome! So I would say don't compare your relationship with God to other people's relationships with Him. If you are a new Christian, your journey and story is going to be a lot different than someone who has been a Christian since they were 3 years old! Don't feel like you have to have it altogether perfectly right away! Allow yourself to learn from other Christian leaders around you and try to model after how they live their lives! If they're truly following Jesus with their lives, then if you follow them, you'll be following Christ! :) A really great verse that I love is Romans 12:2. It talks about how we should not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This means that we are to not live as everyone else in the world lives. We are to be different and set apart from everyone else. I guess something to tell yourself early is that you WILL look different from other people when you're a Christian. You'll have your heart so transformed by Jesus that your words will be different than other people, the way you dress, the way you spend your time, where you give your money, etc. EVERYTHING will change because of Jesus changing you, and those things will look much differently than the rest of the world. :) I hope this helps!! These were the first things that came to my mind haha. So happy you're starting to follow Christ!! You won't regret it!!! xx

Amen! You are awesome for waiting till marriage, I'm waiting too though I'm not a virgin. I wasn't reAlly into waiting before I became a true born again Christian, but now I want to wait. Especially if a woman waits, she has a really beautiful heart, you have a beautiful heart. God bless you. To people out there who are not a virgin it's not too late, turn to Jesus and repent and be born again. God has a plan for all of us. I believe! God is good and I'm so thankful.

Becca, could you please do a video of how to be a christian at school, how to tell people or how to stick up for what is right cos I am one of the few christians at my school and it has definitely been hard so far, would be really helpful and relatable to many I am sure, lots of love from the uk, you are truly changing lives and have inspired so many (I know this from expirience) xxx

I couldn't agree more because I know I'm not the only one who's waiting. I'm 15 but in my age, I learned to pray for my future spouse (but i started praying for my future one when I was 14) and give me wisdom to avoid being in a situation where I can no longer control myself. Unlike any teenagers who are currently wasting their lives to fulfill their unselfishly satisfaction. God bless you more, Becca! See you when Jesus comes! 💕💕💕

My Religious Education teacher told our class of 13/14 year olds that she was still a virgin at 40 waiting until marriage. I believe however that someone who sleeps around all the time, when eventually married, the marriage won't work out in many cases.
@BeachsideHank4 жыл бұрын
Your teacher lied about her status- it is likely her religion itself that is keeping her from finding a prospective mate, even promiscuous folks with Downs syndrome find and marry each other and live happily ever after.

i made a promise to God that i would not date and marry a non christian, i want the good girl, i told God i want someone devoted, just like one verse talks about being unevenly yolked, working out great, it really filters out all the girls, and leaves the good ones 👍

Ahh, I see man! That is very true, and I have experienced a similar feeling with a girl whom I dearly liked! The compass tells us what direction North is, however it doesn't tell us about all the struggles and swamps we will encounter! You know where North is! However these struggles may continue! I hope you can bear them! I know you can! I think it is better to be lost in the right path then to be certain in the wrong direction! This world hurts man, I am sorry for those sharks and stinging rays you may have encountered! Best of luck man! God Bless! - Mark W.

My thought is ,society pressure pushes guys to have sex as a good thing but at same time society portrays women who have sex as loose morally. So glad that God has a better path. Wait till marriage. One man, one woman. Thank you for waiting and encouraging others to live to please God by waiting. Great choice. God will reward you.

Healthy boundaries are so important. I wish I had waited. Having woken up sexuality with pornography and girlfriends, every time I get free from lustful thinking or masterbation I get attacked and repressured into it. It's usually because I start searching for love and end up disappointed when I see how lacking those girls hearts are. It's maddening how heavily I get attacked in dreams by succubi and with desire for intimacy when I go for weeks or months without sinning. Now it's hard to even think of marriage. Our Dad has me so busy high intensity gardening and preparing for what he has shown me is coming, that I don't feel like there's time for me to meet a woman who understands and is willing to help sow so we can reap while the world is starving. You are hyper intelligent and a detailed teacher. Keep speaking the truth that hurts and pricks peoples hearts, it's the only thing that's ever set me free even if it's only been for a time.
