I am the opposite of you: I went to a Christian academy from kindergarten to my senior year of high school. The first time I went to public school was in university. I was so ready for the professor to do a devotional and pray before starting class LOL but I forgot I was at a public university. My experience has been difficult at times because it can be hard to find good friends but it has also really strengthened my relationship with the Lord. Just wanted to share that because I found it interesting to hear your perspective. I love you videos so much ! :)

I like that scripture so much - "Guard your heart about all else, for it determines the course of your life" Proverbs 4:23 taken from the NLT. I have been heart broken a few times so this scripture really inspires and encourages me. It also makes me think how I should not give my heart away so freely.

I grew up in Jamaica and in every school you go to you have to have devotion and prayers before school starts, before lunch, after lunch, and before school ends so when I moved to Florida and there was no prayers in schools I found it hard to adopt. I wish prayers weren't band in public schools here, it makes a big difference in how your day turns out. Love you Becca.

I also attended a Christian college. Likewise, I lost it when the professor prayed in front of the class. I was in public school my whole life and traveled playing competitive sports. Needless to say it was not the best environment growing up. Really cool to experience a whole new culture. We're new to your channel, love what you're doing for the Kingdom. Kathryn Grimwade Yes for sure. That's the bad thing about it. I have been able to meet non-Christians from my school and been able to talk to them about Jesus and just love them like Him and it's been really awesome! It's so sad because people are so mean to them because they don't live like everyone else but the thing is, we are supposed to love these people to help move them to Jesus not "judge" them into moving to Jesus. But for me I'm so glad I chose my school because I got to take theology courses I never would have been able to take had I gone to public university. And I've been able to share that stuff with you guys here which has been awesome :) So yeah there are definitely pros and cons!!

Going to uni was amazing as it was the first time i had the opportunity to be friends with sooo many christians my age as there is a great christian union here! Shawn Gallagher I don't cuss! I honestly think there are so many better things I can say, and I would never want to bring someone down by doing it. There's a little cheesy acronym that called THINK - it means is it thoughtful, helpful, important, necessary, or kind? I use that with my students lol it's really cute but also helpful for people older on whether they should say something or not. And that extends a lot further than just cussing! Hope that helps!
