They don’t question what they’re told. They don’t do research into how the parties differ in policies. It’s one of the reasons Republicans cut education. Less educated voters vote Republican. They want their constituents poor, uneducated and angry at immigrants. Then they’ll never question where the money they should be getting from their work and what they pay in taxes is actually going when they aren’t getting it wages and it’s not going into their communities.

Join one of the Dem prayer groups. I did that for 2020 and just cried my first meeting via phone. Finally, a group of fellow believers who get it. There are more than 2,000 verses on poverty (& alleviating it), social justice and embracing the disenfranchised. It has stern warnings against those who exalt the rich and greedy.

Theres a quote attributed to Ghandi (its debated whether he ever actually said it) that frequently applies, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Often the loudest people who claim to be Christian fail to live up to very basic teachings of Christ. The repubican party in particular would probably demonize him as a socialist, since many of his teachings are about giving your wealth to help those less fortunate. The fact that so many Christian groups act so contrary to what the bible says Jesus was like is what pushed me away from organized religion toward being somwhere between agnostic and atheist.
