Amen! Stay devoted to Christ. He knows what's best. I can testify of the Lord's goodness. Once I completely gave my life over to the Lord, I never looked back. Never chatted on line, dated etc. I got so close to the Lord that I just knew if He had someone for me, He would tell me. Sure enough, after 7yr's the Lord started ministering to me & that my husband would be from another State. The Lord led me to prepare in reading Song of Solomon and taking better care of myself. He did not want me to speak to None of my friends. This was All done in complete only speaking to the Lord. He didn't want anyway else interfering or the enemy. He had godly for real women of God come to me & confirm what the Lord was about to do. Let me tell you, It was so crazy wild, supernatural. I have never heard a story like mine. It was confirmation after confirmation because I would ASK HIM in My Secret Place. The day my future husband walked in my church, I happen to be late & I was sitting further behind. As I sat, I heard in a soft voice, "he is here" my heart was beating out of my chest. God did it, we courted for a year and now married 7yrs,

I do understand that so many Christian singles today are utilizing modern day tools to find a mate. But as believers we really need to be seeking God for wisdom and discernment when we choose to go that route. There’s a lot of trickery and foolery going on. I personally believe God still orchestrates divine meetings. Whether it’s at church or the grocery store. When it’s time…it shall come to pass. But in the meantime…the single person minds the things of the Lord, how we may be pleasing to Him. He did not hide who he was, or what he was looking for. Should he have gone on the show is irrelevant, he did what he was supposed to do and shone his light to a room of women who are looking to date. In doing so, maybe his testimony (at the end) opened some of their minds and hearts to the glory of God. Christians need to be in these spaces to do exactly what he did - and as another person stated: the Lord did indeed protect this man. I met my Christian man of God husband on the Bumble dating app. I'm pretty sure if I told a lot of Christians they would have told me, "you shouldn't be on no dating app or I should only try to use Christian dating apps." I tried one Christian dating app and there was a bunch of weirdos with fetishes. I'm pretty sure there were some nice guys on there I just didn't find one. God can use any platform to bring two people together. There have been several Christian men and women that have been on this show, and a lot of them have represented Christ which I can really appreciate, because millions of people are watching these videos. People aren't meeting the old school way by us growing up in school together or parents knowing parents and bringing their kids together. I don't think dating has become defiled because I don't believe it was ever pure to begin with. Dating was created by the world for the purpose of being with someone like you're married without being married to them.
@girlfrombk4 ай бұрын
I agree with you, but correct me if I’ve misinterpreted your point. Dating is a worldly concept therefore it’s not biblical, so people simply shouldn’t date.
@SoldOutPrincess4 ай бұрын
@@girlfrombk Yes that is exactly what I'm saying. And just so it's clear for others that are reading (because I find when this is said there's always someone that says "well how can you get to know someone if you don't date them?" Or "So you just marry whomever shows interests?") I'm not saying you shouldn't get to know someone. What I am saying is that there is a better more biblical way to do so without dating a person.
@girlfrombk4 ай бұрын
@@SoldOutPrincess Thank you for the clarification! I’m curious, what would that more biblical way look like?
@SoldOutPrincess4 ай бұрын
@@girlfrombk I believe it's different for a male than it is a female and vise versa. Since I am a woman I will speak on that. As a single Christian woman when I think about the word of God, one of the things that I think of is the Bible saying He who finds a good wife, finds a good thing. So as a single Christian woman the only thing that I'm focused on is being what a wife should be. I focus on the responsibilities I believe God has given me and my relationship with him and only those things. I make sure that I have the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman before being a wife because that is what the Mother is telling the king to look out for in a woman. Only a Godly man is going to be looking for these things in a woman. Now what do we do when a man does find us and shows interest? It should be done more in a courting way. For example, my first experience with this, the young man told me he had interest in me. I then proceeded to direct him towards my father because of course until I am married he is my head. With my father's permission, the young man hung out with my cousins and I, came to church events and even attended our church (my dad is the pastor). We started family game night every Friday amongst other things specifically so that we had more opportunities to get to know him better as a person. This lasted for almost a year (only because I wasn't trying to get married any time soon anyways and him either but we both felt that God might have made us to be together), and without having my feelings in the mix I was able to learn his values, see how he deals with other people, and even see a lot of his weaknesses. He was an overly emotional man, he didn't know how to recive or listen to wisdom given to him even when he asked for it, and more importantly it was clear we did not hold some of the same values and so many other red flags. I was able to so see and learn these things without getting hurt or emotionally involved in the process. The difference between dating and courting is that in dating we are trying to get to know another person on an intimate level and a lot of times not even for the purpose of dating. When you're courting you're getting to know the person with the purpose of marrying them and you are looking to see if they have the qualities and characteristics the Bible says a man or woman should have. Of course being acctracted to them is important as well but what should come first is them meeting the biblical characteristics you want in a spouse. Now how should a man conduct himself? I believe a man should just be keeping a watchful eye on the woman that are around and who finds himself around being careful to watch for the different Godly characteristics she may have. Since the woman is a help meet, does he see that woman being a good support and help meet for the things he believes God has called him to do? First before any of these things though, he should be making sure that he is ready to be a husband. He shouldn't be looking for a wife if he's not ready to be a husband yet. The next step after he does find someone he thinks he might want to marry is to talk to whomever her head is about that first. That might be her father if he's in her life, if not then her pastor, if for whatever reason she hasn't found the right church yet, then a brother or Uncle or mother or someone who holds a leadership role in her life first. If there's no one then I would proceed to making sure that you guys hang out with friends as a group and just being friends with each other too. If you're not married then the Bible tells us to treat each other like brother and sister. We should continue to do that I till we are married. I believe a lot of people believe you have to date to get to know someone but how many close friends do we have in our life? We didn't have to date them either. If we focus on the characteristics God said a man and woman should have he will workout the rest. God loves his children, he's not going to give us someone we're not attracted to or aren't compatible with. We just have to trust him enough to believe that.
@SoldOutPrincess4 ай бұрын
@@girlfrombk That's a good question. I know the majority of the men in my church like the back of my hand. In my church we treat each other like family, we all do things together and hang out and do stuff as you would with any other friends and family that you have. I know that most churches aren't like mine and what if the man doesn't go to your church? I want you to think about the close relationships that you have in your life. You didn't have to date them, yet you know them extremely well. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to date someone to get to know them for marriage. Dating was not something originally created to help you figure that out to begin with. If the man treats you like he would any of his sisters and you treat him like any of your brothers ( because that's how the bible tells us to treat one another in Christ ) you can get to know a lot about a person. As a woman, I will never be pointing out anyone. The Bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing. I will be focused on my relationship with God, doing whatever I know God has called me to do, and following his will. With that being said, a Godly man will be the one to see you in hopes of marrying you because of the Godly characteristics he has seen in you. Now does that mean we just say yes just because he shows interest? No, of course not. I have actually already been able to experience this myself. The young man spent time with my family and me and even began to attend my church. During this time, I was able to learn and see his character without getting my feelings in the mix. I was able to see that, while yes he knew the word of God and understood it, he found it very hard to follow it. He had a hard time following instructions from leadership concerning himself and how he should deal with me. He also proved to be very overly emotional and double-minded. I learned these things just by keeping a watchful eye on how he interacted with my family, the people in my church, and leadership. All without getting my feeling in the mix. The biblical characteristics that we should be looking for in our spouses are things that can be seen and observed in their everyday lives. For example, my parents did not date before they got married. They were best friends for 3 years and then one day my father realized that my mom had all of the characteristics that he wanted in a wife. After realizing that, they didn't then start dating for a number of months to " get to know each other more". They prepared to get married, and shortly after did. That's because they knew that one another already had the Godly characteristics they were looking for in a spouse. I believe the issue is that people are trying to get to know each other on an intimate level, which if we are not married we shouldn't be doing. The Bible tells us everything we need to know about what a good man and a good woman look like, and none of them have to do with anything intimate. Now I'm not a man so I can't teach him what he should do, but what I do know is that I won't be marrying anyone who has potential to be a good husband. Just like I'm making sure he finds me as a woman who's ready to be a wife he should be ready to be a husband and shouldn't be looking for a wife if he is not ready to be a husband. By ready I mean spiritually ready and not whether or not he wants to go ahead and get married now so he's looking. I'm talking about having the Godly characteristics the Bible says a good man should have.
