"Bottom surgery doesn't happen to kids under 18" Clarification: _voluntary_ gender-affirming bottom surgery doesn't happen to kids under 18. Intersex infants _regularly_ have their genitals molded to be "correct" for the binary sex they'll subsequently be assigned, sometimes not even learning about their status as intersex people until long after they've grown up and still can't figure out what's "wrong" with them until finding out that the doctors handling their birth didn't like how their body looked. Obviously that is not at all the discussion happening here, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if the people railing against kids being trans have no problem with mutilating a baby whose genitals aren't strictly one set or the other (and then shaming them for their body giving them the "wrong" puberty for the box they were crammed into) or even just infantile circumcision on an otherwise normal baby penis, but after listening to some intersex people I feel we should take their trauma into consideration too when refuting anti-trans fearmongering.

14th-gen American here, descended from Francis Cooke, Mayflower. About half the passengers on that ship were fleeing the established churches in England and Europe. They set up little church groups along the eastern seaboard and immediately started the same kind of harassment that was inflicted on themselves back in their home nations. The 'separatists' (what we call 'Puritans') hated Quakers, particularly. BTW - the other half were merchants. My umpty-umpy-ump great-grandaddy Cooke, btw, was apparently NOT a 'separatist' when he boarded the ship, but became part of the group later and was very active in surveying in the colony administration... sounds like joining the Masons because all the other business owners in town were doing it (my grandad, 33rd degree Scots Rite, who was head teller at the local bank in Excelsior MN). Cooke was not what would be considered a hard-core TRUE BELIEVER. After years of dealing with psycho religionists terrorizing and hanging women (and the odd guy here & there... one guy at Salem was 'pressed' to death, the women were all hanged) in the various colonies, and under threat of the British government's growing power over the colonies, the educated landowners and business leaders in the various colonies declared independence to prevent their subjugation to the English crown & church. Yes, taxes were one issue, but the established church of England was another big one, more than 100 yrs after the first colonists landed on Plymouth Rock.

The most Christian nation that ever existed? Has he never heard of Vatican City? This is literally a city state in which the pope is the king. England, which probably has more atheists per capita than the USA, and pretty much lets all religions practice openly, still has a state religion. And because of that, it still has anti-blasphemy laws and can still ban speech that blasphemes against the church. The USA has no state religion, and never has.

There are people who say that the various references and sometimes prayers and prayer recommendations made to a ruling divine entity referred to (whether falsely or truly) as God mean that we can jump to an "America is Christian" conclusion. Maybe, to try to be charitable, I can point out that the bible warns that there will be "tares" (non-wheat vegetation, as a contrasting figure to the wheat) in the church. But America's not a church so there's a double level of isolation there. The less "Christianity" we claim as already there in America, the better position serious Christians are in to bring serious awareness of Christ into America.

I knew this was going to mean big, big trouble for America to face. I allowed God his will as to what he allowed, but I prayed God for the best thing to do in its face. God wants me to be part of the spiritual resistance against MAGA, was what I concluded in my soul embracing God. Perfect I am not, but learning and gaining I am. And yes. A lot of serious Christians by soul towards God rather than by institutional allegiance join me in deeming MAGA's spirit a thing to fight. I pray that God confuse, confound, and drive out the spirit of MAGA. This will explain the reference to a MAGA spirit.)

James Madison drew inspiration for the Three Branches Of Government from the Spirit Of Law by Charles Louis de Secondat, baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu, a french Judge who was building on the work of John Locke who also had a major influence on the American founding fathers as can be seen in the "right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" being almost directly lifted from Locke's Second Treatise on Government which also argued for things like Freedom Of Speech and Freedom Of Religion among other liberties. Montesquieu laid out three branches of government, one legislative, one executive and one judicial as a critique of French Absolutism. Also, Deism is sorta how you explain it but it has some caveats, basically Deism is the idea that there is a god that made the world as is shown through revealed theology, however deists deny that God has a sustained relationship with his creation for Deism while Atheism denies the existence of a creator all together.

Where'd you learn that? Real genuine question, cos I was taught that the Iroquois had their own confederacy but never that the founding fathers used their constitution to write ours.

The Founding Fathers took a lot of lessons from the Iroquois, it's the reason the US eagle has 13 arrows in its claws. According to the Iroquois founding mytho-history, a bundle of five arrows, one from each of the founding nations of their confederacy, was buried underneath a tree that an eagle perched on.

@@erinw.9256 Constitutional convention members such as Benjamin Franklin were very familiar with the Haudenosaunee Confederacy nations and their founding principles. He reviewed Cadwallader’s The history of the five Indian nations depending on the province of New-York in America, and he wrote the article, “Short Hints Towards a Scheme for Uniting the Northern Colonies.” Franklin wrote to his printing partner, James Parker, “It would be a very strange Thing, if [the] Six Nations… should be capable of forming a Scheme for such an Union, and be able to execute it in such a Manner, as that it has subsisted Ages, and appears indissoluble; and yet that a like Union should be impracticable for ten or a Dozen English Colonies, to whom it is more necessary, and must be more advantageous.”

I can't say I know this as fact, but via anecdotes from friends and family, the more they've legitimately read the bible, the less religious they've become. Those who've read it 2 or 3 times cover-to-cover became full-blown atheists. So please, advocate harder for people to read the bible 😁 Also, I wouldn't call Newsom a fascist (they do it because a lot of the Republican candidates are absolutely fascistic), but I also wouldn't call him good. He's vetoed good union legislation and has been horrible for the unhoused in California. If I'm being generous, his record puts him right on the razor's edge of hunting the homeless for sport

David Barton needs to read the first few verses of *Revelation Chapter 21* (the penultimate chapter in the whole Word of God according to most Christians), and keep in mind that it’s _after_ *Revelation 20:15* (last verse of that chapter) which says that whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life is _already_ cast into the Lake of Fire _before_ the next two chapters. So, by the process of elimination ,everyone mentioned _after_ that point is a *saved **_Christian_* whose name _is_ found written in the Book of Life! Revelation 21:8 ends with saying that *_all_** liars* will have their _part_ in the Lake of Fire. But wait, that’s not all. The next chapter, the _final_ chapter of the Word of God, has an angel coming to John the Revelator to give the closing of the revelation, speaking the direct words of Jesus. So while the words come out of the mouth of an angel, they’re Jesus’s words and a red-letter edition has at least some of this in red ink. In verse 12-13, He says, “Behold, I come quickly, and My *reward* is with Me, to give *every* man according as his *work* shall be. *I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”* Next verse: “Blessed are they that *do His commandments,* for they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the [heavenly] city.” Immediately followed by, “For without [locked _outside_ the Heavenly City _for eternity]_ are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, *and whosoever loveth and maketh a* _[singular!]_ *lie.* _[singular!]”_ That last part was verse 15. *Revelation 22:15.* Remember, everyone who was _not_ found written in the Book of Life had _already_ been cast into the Lake of Fire *two chapters previously!* So these people in 22:15 _are_ in the Book of Life, but that doesn’t get them into the Heavenly City or right to the Tree of Life. Those aren’t salvation (which is by grace). Salvation is just not being cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity. Those are *rewards,* and rewards are _stated_ to be by _works._ Loving, let alone making, even _one lie_ is enough to put you in Revelation 22:15, locked outside of the City forever, *even **_if_** you’re **_saved!_* If you ever get a chance to interview Barton, ask him to swear, _not_ on God the Father or Son, but on *God the **_Holy Spirit,_* that everything he’s said and done in his career in founding and running Wallbuilders, Inc. has been completely truthful in every aspect to every degree, without any attempt to deceive even by telling technical truths in a misleading way, withholding truths that’re inconvenient to his position and goals, etc. Lying in a sworn oath is a form of blasphemy, and blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is a sin that can _unsave_ a saved Christian and blot their names out of the Book of Life, and its penalty goes beyond being locked out of the Heavenly City. It’s full-on Lake of Fire for full-on _eternity._ But if he’s telling the truth, he shouldn’t even hesitate to swear to that.

I just tried to do a google search on who said the insanity repetition thing and it repeatedly kept giving results about people asking if Einstein said it or that Einstein didn't say it.... so it's commonly linked to Einstein, even though he didn't say it. So this may not have been an intention lie on their part since so many people have been attributing it to Einstein for awhile now. I tried to find out who said it.... the results kept insisting Einstein didn't say it... So this one thing might not have been an intentional lie.

So a few things from a Christian perspective from someone with years of study under their belt: 1. Christ told Pontius Pilate that his (Christ’s) kingdom was not of this world (ie, had nothing to do with human rule). (John 18:36) In prayer the previous night Jesus had stated his followers were no part of the world. (John 17:14). Christians in the first century were noted for their refusal to participate in politics or other actions that would be considered putting politics ahead of service to God. It should also be noted that Jesus was given the opportunity to become the ruler of all the kingdoms of mankind & gave a hard pass, knowing that was note his purpose. (Matthew 4:8-11) 2. Kings of Israel. The Israelites did not originally have kings following their Exodus from Egypt - that’d come hundreds of years later. For years the people were led by the laws handed down from God via Moses, with instruction on the law (which include those re: worship) coming through the tribe of Levi, and implementation of those laws through local judges spread throughout the cities of Israel. There were also judges who led the people on a larger scale during times of need or crisis as well as prophets. The Israelites eventually wanted a human king like other nations & God told the prophet Samuel to anoint Saul of the tribe of Benjamin to be the king. (1 Samuel 9:15, 16; 10:1). Saul was eventually rejected by God for misbehavior & Samuel was sent to anoint a new king, David. (1 Samuel 16:12, 13) Afterwards, the Kings of Israel (even after the 12 tribes split into the 10 tribe kingdom of Israel & 2 tribe kingdom of Judah) were descendants of David based on which of David’s wives they could trace their ancestry back through; it should be noted kings were eliminated after being conquered by other empires). With re: to non-Israelites, while they could become prosyletes (or worshippers of God) and were subject to the Law, their abilities to be treated and given positions of ruling authority was not allowed. 3. God as judge, lawgiver, king. (Isaiah 33:22) This applies in two ways. First it was applied to the nation of Israel as a whole. What we would consider the 3 branches of government (executive, legislative, and judiciary) ultimately stemmed from him and was communicated via priests & prophets. It obviously applied individually as well, with faithful Jews respecting that arrangement. However, when Christ died the Law provided through Moses was done away with & was replaced with the law of the Christ. (Romans 10:4; 7:6). The Law of the Christ focuses on underlying principles of behaviors & is intended for individuals to make changes in their lives. While Christians do view God ad judge, lawgiver, and king it is a personal subjection v a national government arrangement. As noted above, Christians eschewed involvement in politics although if it interfered with their ministry they would make use of legal mechanisms. (Acts 25:11; Philippians 1:7). Instead they recognized that human governments were God’s arrangements for keeping things orderly & were therefore expected to be respectful, law abiding, taxpayers who rendered relative subjection to those authorities so long as they were not asked to violate their worship of God. (Romans 13:1-7; Titus:3-1; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Acts 5:29). Ultimately God is allowing to happen without his involvement to prove the ineffectiveness of human rule (including those who misapply Scripture) and that man’s inclination is to dominate one another to their detriment. (Ecclesiastes 8:9). At a time he has set, he will remove human rule for that ineffectiveness and allow Christ to rule on earth as he does in heaven for the benefit of all mankind. (Matthew 6:9, 10)

Too much adding and subtracting from the true Word of God for a long time. Many say, I search the Scriptures using more then one version. Easier read. The Lord Jesus Christ said He would preserve His Word FOREVER. They are all...another Gospel. Watered down. How many different Bibles come into churches each week? Does that sound like sound doctrine.? Jesus is God who came down to die for sinners. They are producing a new age approach from their many gods. Beware!!! The devil roars and seeks to destroy.
