ISAIAH 53....There You GO, Ben!!!!
@imraneamoura10278 ай бұрын
Christians often use this passage found in Iasiah 53:7 to say that Jesus was foretold and prophesied in the Old Testament... Isaiah 53:7 He was mistreated and oppressed, and opened not his mouth, like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, like a sheep that is dumb before its shearers; He did not open his mouth. Acts 8:32 The passage of Scripture he read was this: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And like a lamb mute before its shearer, He opened not His mouth. But who was this poor sheep brought to the butchery who did not keep his mouth shut, while crying out loud: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” That is to say: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? » (Matthew 27:46)!!!
@imraneamoura10278 ай бұрын
53 does not speak of Jesus: Christians believe that Jesus is God although the verses in Isaiah do not speak of God, but rather of a servant of God as can be seen in Isaiah 52:13. Additionally, verse 53:12 says that God will give him his portion among the great. If Jesus is God, how did he have his share with both great and ordinary human beings? God does not need God to give him a share with the great because God is the Almighty and He is not comparable to ordinary humans. Verse 53:3 speaks of a man despised and abandoned by men. This can be applied to the Israelites during the Babylonian captivity. Jesus was neither despised nor abandoned by men, rather he was followed by a great crowd, from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan. (Matthew 4:25) and glorified by all (Mark 3:9) such that he charged his disciples to always keep a small boat at his disposal, so as not to be pressed by the crowd. (Mark 3:9). Verse 53:7 says that he did not open his mouth, like a lamb that is led to the slaughter. Jesus is found saying, 'Moreover, I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God' (Matthew 26:63-64). And he said: 'Are you saying this about yourself, or did someone else tell you this about me?' (John 18:33-34). And also when a servant slapped him, Jesus said to him: “If I have said something wrong, show us how, but if what I have said is right, why do you strike me? (John 18:22). And Jesus also uttered cries of pain and distress on the cross without keeping his mouth closed when he was led like a sheep being led to the slaughter: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? » (Matthew 27:46). Verse 53:10 speaks that he will see seed and prolong his days. Jesus had no seed and this cannot be applied to a spiritual seed because the Hebrew word for seed used here is 'zera' which was only used for the literal lineage as can be found in Genesis 12:7, 15 :2-4, 15:13, 46:6, Exodus 28:43. On the other hand, the Bible uses the word “banim” for a spiritual seed as used in Deuteronomy 14:1. The verse says that his days will be long, that means that Jesus will be on earth for a long time before he dies. It is against what the Bible says that Jesus was crucified and went to heaven after 3 days. Of course, seeing the prosperity and extending the days, it cannot happen for 3 days. God does not need to die for our sins as found in Deuteronomy 24:16. Ezekiel 18, Isaiah 55:6-7 and many other verses. It is clear that chapter 53 in Isaiah does not speak of the death of Jesus for our sins, this chapter rather speaks of the Israelite people.

@@stormtradersMy friend. The disciple Philip was confused about this as well. After Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father. Jesus said to him, " Have I not been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, ... (📜John 14:9-12). Even the Jews knew what Jesus was saying. It reads, Then the Jews took stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?" The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God" (📜John 10:31-33). I can go on... In 📜John 8:58, Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." Then they took up stones to throw at Him;. Why? Because the Jews knew the scriptures... When Moses was talking with God, Moses said, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, 'What is His name?' what shall I say to them?" And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, "I AM has sent me to you' (📜Exodus 3:13-14). So Jesus is claiming to be the same God of Exodus. In 📜Isaiah 48:12, God says, "I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last." In 📜 Revelation 22:12 Jesus says He's the First and the Last. He even calls Himself the ALMIGHTY in 📜Rev 1:8. My friend, the moment you see Jesus as God, you will finally understand God's love towards you. And just in case you still want to elevate the Father over the Son. 📜John 5:22-23 reads: "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgement to the Son,(why?) that all should honor the Son JUST AS they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son(JUST AS THE FATHER) does not honor the Father who sent Him. I know this is a lot... But it's important you get this right. And I say this in love towards you so you can see the truth. Jesus is God in the flesh. Peace be with you... In Jesus Name... Amen.

If Jesus, the son, is not God then why did he say, "I and the Father are one," in John 10:30? Does that also mean that the Holy Spirit is not God? When God said, "Let US make man in OUR image," was he talking to himself in third person? I don't believe so. I have come to believe that it was the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit there. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). @mrhyde76008 ай бұрын
I am more in awe of the one who sees these as prophecy is being fulfilled and all of this as truth. That is the inconceivable notion that I find fascinating in a horrible way. It is absolutely and abundantly clear that the old testament does not have prophecies of Jesus. I will go through the prophecies with you one by one. For starters, I hear preachers say there's like 360 prophecies of Jesus in the Old Testament? I claimed that to be on scriptural, because second Peter says no prophecy is a private interpretation, which tells me that if the New Testament did not use it as a prophecy of Jesus then we mortals have no authority to appoint something a prophecy as we see fit. That is becoming a mouthpiece for God and assuming ourselves to be prophets. That would literally be declaring where God has spoken when it may be that God had not spoken that thing.

Not a single prophecy of OT was fulfilled by JC. Let me go over a few: >> "JC came on a donkey" Okay, but when it says in Zech 9:9 that he will arrive riding a donkey, it says literally in the next sentence, that nations will put down their war instruments, and there would be worldwide peace - J hasnt done this [when he came on his donkey] and hence he is disqualified from being the messiah , fullstop. otherwise whats the significance of riding a donkey? Anyone can come riding a donkey. The significance of course is that a donkey is an animal used for work and not for combat, thats why when messiah comes riding a donkey he will fulfill worldwide peace, and there would be no doubt regarding who he is. >> "muhhh virjun birth" your boy Matthew quoted a false greek translation and this is the result of human error, hence undeniable proof that JC is fraud. The correct word for virjun is used elsewhere in the bible, why would God choose to be imprecise regarding this one? Thats because isa7-14 was already fulfilled in isaiah's lifetime, and Krinshtians admit this , which is why they grasp at straws and say its a dual prophecy. >> "isa ch53" Krinshian translations butcher this chapter and there are many proofs that the servant MUST be a plural people and not a singular person. Also every metaphor in ch53 is found everywhere throughout the entire OT as referring to the nation. I cant place all the proofs here cuz utube deletes

Later, in Colossians 1: 15-16 we read: "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. @@mattr.1887 if you listen to Nabil's testimony or read his book, "Seeking Allah finding Jesus", he was absolutely coming from the standpoint of desperately wanting to find the truth about the true God. We're definitely not trying to just make Christianity work. It is an almost impossible task to put into a single comment on KZbin why the One true God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and that the Bible that we have is the word of the true God, but to put it simply, it would go something like this: if Jesus of Nazareth truly rose from the dead, that would be both the Fulfillment of prophecies given by God in the Tanakh/OT and the validation of Jesus as the Messiah, therefore validating his disciples' eyewitness testimony. If his disciples can truly be trusted, then what they wrote is authoritative and revelatory about the true nature of God and what He has done for us through his incarnation, life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension. So the passage you asked me about from ACTS 3 takes place at a point where the great mystery had not yet been reveled (do you know what that is?). The apostles were still preaching the kingdom message at that time (do you know what that is?) because, Saul (who later became Paul) had not yet had his vision of Jesus on the road to Damascus which took place in ACTS 9. Mind you what Paul said in ACTS 9:3-6 "As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you perscute me?" Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." It was Jesus (GOD) who Paul was talking to. Need more Proof? in Acts 13:30-31 it says "but GOD raised him from the dead (speaking about Jesus)" but then John 2:19 explains what Acts 13:30-31 was referencing, Jesus himself answered them and said "destroy this temple (referencing his body), and I will raise it again in three days"! Notice the passage says "I" will raise it again in 3 days. you MUST understand the trinity for these two verses to make sense to you. They BOTH are saying the same thing even though one says "GOD" will.... and the other says "I" will.......! Need MORE Proof? In John 8:54-58 Scripture says that Jesus answered them “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” 57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” 58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” As you can see from the passage Jesus Says "ABRAHAM rejoiced that he would see MY day"! The Pharisees knew that Jesus was claiming to be God by 1, using the LORD's title from the old testament, and 2, because the people picked up stones to stone him for what they considered to be blasphemy. The reason they said "You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!" is because they realized he was around 33 years old yet Abraham had lived and dies 2000ish years before Christ was even born, yet Christ himself says he was BEFORE Abraham. He was Before Abraham because he has ALWAYS existed in the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Sprit). Jesus was not a created being (his essence), his body was made but the sprit that filled him is ETERNAL and uncreated (GOD). There are SO many more passages that clearly implicate that Jesus was GOD in human form. Remember, to perminately pay for sin's for ALL OF US he had to live and die as a human who never sinned. Meaning he had to "play by the rules". So he had to live like us, eat, sleep and drink like us, Bleed like us, and finally die like us! He even PRAYED like us to the FATHER. remember this passage, Philippians 2:5-11, "In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in VERY NATURE God, DID NOT CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH GOD something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-even death on a cross!" There are MANY more passage I could place here to demonstrate what I am saying but, it would be 5 times longer than this novel I have already provided lol. I wish you the best and I hope this plants a seed that the Lord will grow in you! Last bit, In revelations, Jesus Calles himself the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last which is something ONLY GOD ever proclaimed! @@JudeOne3Four First off there is no need to get so aggressive/accuse me of anything, just be polite. You made a remark on my comment that was not directed toward you, but to the creator of the video. Based off your response, I am going to make the assumption that you are not a Trinitarian, is that correct? Otherwise the question you posed to me above does not make sense. So the passage you asked me about from Acts 3 takes place at a point where the great mystery had not yet been revealed to anyone (do you know what that is?) The apostles were still preaching the kingdom message at that time (do you know what that is?) because Saul (who later became Paul) had not yet had his vision of Jesus on the road to Damascus (which took place in acts 9). Mind you what Paul said in Acts 9; 3-6 ''as he neared Damascus 0n his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell t0 the ground and heard a voice say to him, ''Saul, Saul, why d0 you persecute me?'' ''Who are you, Lord?'' Saul asked. '' I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting'' he replied. ''now get up and g0 into the city, and you will be told what you must do.'' It was Jesus (GOD) who Paul was talking to. Need more proof? In Acts 13; 30-31 it says ''but GOD raised him from the dead'' (referring to Jesus) but, then John 2;19 explains that acts 13; 30-31 was referencing. Jesus himself answered them and said, ''destroy this temple (referring t0 his body), and I will raise it up again in three days''! Notice the passage says ''I'' will raise it up again in 3 days. Y0U MUST understand the Trinity for those two verses to make sense to you. They both are saying the same thing even though one says “G0d will” and the other says “I will”! Need even more proof? The Pharisees knew that Jesus was claiming to be God by 1, using the G0D'S title from the Old Testament (I AM), and two, because the people picked up stones to stone him for what they consider to be blasphemy! We read in Mal.3:1: “Behold, I will send MY MESSENGER, and he shall prepare the way BEFORE ME: and THE LORD, WHOM YOU SEEK, SHALL SUDDENLY COME TO ***HIS*** TEMPLE, even the MESSENGER OF THE COVENANT, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.” Lets break this down and make it perfectly clear...... "Behold I *_(God)_* will send my messenger (??????) and he shall prepare the way before me *_(God)_* : Who was sending the messenger?...... It was *_God_* The messenger was to prepare the way for who? .......for *_God_* So *_God_* ...... sent (somebody) to prepare the way for *_God .... HIMSELF..._* and the Lord *_(God)_* , whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his *_(God's)_* temple, even the messenger of the covenant *_( the law of Moses)_* , whom you delight in: behold, he *_(God)_* shall come, saith the Lord *_(God)_* of hosts. In the passage above Malachi speaks of a messenger one that will prepare the way for the Lord, this is none other than John the Baptizer who is foretold in Isa.40:3-4. He is....... “The voice crying out in the wilderness: prepare the way of the *_Lord_* ; make straight in the desert a highway for *_OUR GOD_* .” Mt. 11:10 quotes this as a confirmation of John the Baptizer as the one who will introduce the *_LORD_* and *_OUR GOD_* . “For this is he of whom it is written: 'Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.' So..... Who was the one that came after John the Baptizer? It was JESUS. But wait....According to Malachi the one that comes after John the Baptizer is the same one that made the covenant with Moses.... How can this be? Was it not God that made the covenant with Moses? Yes it was.....But it was Jesus that came after John the Baptizer and not God?.... Could Malachi be wrong? ....Or is it simply that God himself did actually come to the earth and visit his temple as Jesus right after John the Baptizer did. Exactly as Malachi said he would... Notice that Malachi tells us that the Lord himself, the one who made the covenant with Israel in the Old Testament will come to visit his temple personally and they will "BEHOLD" him *_(they would see him)_* ..... They would see who? They would see the one that made covenant with Israel. *>>>> "GOD"

'So God ...... sent (somebody) to prepare the way for God .... HIMSELF... .' how this is taken as a rational sentence anywhere outside of an insane asylum is beyond me. God, a being who let's remind ourselves exists outside of time and space, took human form so that He could sacrifice Himself to Himself, to absolve all of Mankind for Sin which He created Himself? So that mankind will be saved from eternal torment in a place He created? So God, who can only be good and righteous, is somehow able to create a place that is His antithesis? Utter insanity.

God will not force you into a relationship with him against your will. If you choose to reject the offer you will be left out in the void without time, space or matter to fend for yourself just as you have insisted. Good luck with your choice.... As a side note.. So, he was Dionysius the small. One core belief was in circular time. The idea that every person, and every event, has duplicates throughout history. Excellent job interspersing Ben's claims about Judaism with Nabeel's explanations. I think Ben's counter-arguments are missing one key thing, which is that Christians fully acknowledge that Jesus was surprising in a great number of ways. To say that the characteristics of Jesus as Messiah are a "Christian invention" is technically true. That doesn't mean these "Christian inventions" are not in fact the completed revelation of Yahweh. That's the claim of Jesus and his apostles--that *he* is the full revelation of the Father. It was a novel claim, and it's either true or false, that must be addressed independently of whether it was surprising or expected in Hebrew tradition to that point.

Isaiah 9:6 for example clearly told us that the Messiah will be called as the Wonderful Adviser, the Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. The same with Daniel 7:13-14. Can you provide any verses or counterpoints to those verses that Nabeel had given?
@tomasrocha61398 ай бұрын
@@jeffersonrubia9606 From the NET notes. For a similar use of “father” see Isa 22:21 and Job 29:16. This figurative, idiomatic use of “father” is not limited to the Bible. In a Phoenician inscription (ca. 850-800 b.c.) the ruler Kilamuwa declares: “To some I was a father, to others I was a mother.” In another inscription (ca. 800 b.c.) the ruler Azitawadda boasts that the god Baal made him “a father and a mother” to his people. (See ANET 499-500.) The use of “everlasting” might suggest the deity of the king (as the one who has total control over eternity), but Isaiah and his audience may have understood the term as royal hyperbole emphasizing the king’s long reign or enduring dynasty (for examples of such hyperbolic language used of the Davidic king, see 1 Kgs 1:31; Pss 21:4-6; 61:6-7; 72:5, 17). Ps 45:6 addresses the Davidic king as “God” because he ruled and fought as God’s representative on earth. The “son of man” may be equated with the “holy ones” (vv. 18, 21, 22, 25) or the “people of the holy ones” (v. 27) and understood as a reference to the Jewish people. Others understand Daniel’s reference to be to the angel Michael.

4:34 for this part. Radar apologetics who is a messianic rabbi. Had explained this misconception. He showed in the Old Testament the messiah was to come 2x first as a “priest” and 2nd as a “King” So they completely just run over the fact that messiah was supposed to come as a priest first and save us from damnation, and Go straight to what they desired and that is Physical salvation of the flesh. “Come as king, stop those who oppress us” selfishness imo.

In Genesis 18, who appeared to Abraham and then departed? In Genesis 32, who wrestled with Yaakov since the place was called Peniel (“face of God”) and that person had the authority to rename him to Israel (Genesis 35:10)? In Exodus 33:11, Moshe was face to face with Him? Who do you think they conversed with in the flesh? What does the name Yeshua or Yehoshua literally mean? Yah saves. Also, read a passage the rabbis refuse to allow to be read in the synagogue: Isaiah 53, then read Matthew 26-28. Only the One who kept the covenant can atone for the violator’s failure to keep it. Failure to do so otherwise requires the violator suffer the same fate as the cut-in-half animals that He walked through. Genesis 15

We have plenty of evidence in the old testament: "And the Lord CAME AND STOOD, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears." - 1 Samuel 3:10 But we also have Jesus calling Himself God in Luke 17:15-19🎉

Jesus (the first of all creation in his pre-human form) is just one of Jehovah's many spirit sons. There are also other spirit sons of Jehovah, some of them being rebellious (Job 1:6 ). Jesus himself never claimed to be Jehovah, only that he was sent by Jehovah (יהוה from YHWH), to carry out Jehovah's purpose. That is why it can be said that he carries the name of Jehovah and that he is the word of God. The name Jesus (ישוע) when translated into English literally means "Yahweh is salvation." Jesus consistently gave all credit to his father, Jehovah. Other sons (angels) of Jehovah have also appeared on earth to carry out Jehovah's purpose as messengers who use the voice and power of God for this purpose (an angel was in the burning bush: Acts 7:35). Note that the angelic 'prince' of Jehovah's army appeared before Joshua and asked Joshua to remove his sandals, similar to the request for Moses to do so (Joshua 5:14-15).

God appeared to me several years ago for a very brief moment and it was the most transcendent experience of my life. I’ve since still sinned terribly, having even blasphemed and several times forgotten His everlasting presence. I ask myself still why I lack the willpower to peruse Him like I once did. God is mystical and remains that way to test just how strong our faith and love truly are. Mine used to be so strong, stronger than almost anyone I knew. But this world has a way of gripping you by the throat and leading you so far from Christ and making it feel good and bad all the while… irresistibly satisfying and torturous all the while. I’m trying to make my way back to Christ. I even denied Him and proclaimed my lack of belief several years ago, too. How foolish of me! Letting life convince me my convictions weren’t true when I SAW GOD WITH MY VERY OWN EYES!!! I literally ask myself, “What the HECK is wrong with you!??”… and the truth is, willpower has left the chat and the feel-good sensation of doing bad consumes. Ugh, I loathe being coerced into evil. What I loathe even more is liking it in the midst. The aftermath of overwhelming guilt is unbearable, yet, I keep repeating the same old things, regardless how infrequent. Excuse the ramble, I guess I just had a lot to get off my chest?

One should have asked Ben about the book of Zechariah Chap. 12 verse 10. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. When was Yahweh ever pierced? So if he responds he wasn't, then who is this referring to?
