You are really good at this piano stuff. The embellishment style is really beautiful. RIP Dr John, he was part of what made new orleans what it is. Hurricanes, throwing up on bourbon street, more hurricanes, and cyclones and pete fountain and al hirt and Jackson square and dr john...….

Christian Fuchs You mean parents lie to their children and at the same time tell them they must always tell the truth, and that it was possibly his liver salts?

Just purchased your beautiful arrangement and plan to start working on it today. It will be a great tool into understanding the cocktail genre. I’ll have to slow down the runs though to half speed! I would love to see more pieces in the cocktail style. I plan to purchase all your offerings in time. I think there’s a market for cocktail arrangements. There’s a plethora of jazz transcriptions for example for Moon River, but not so much in the cocktail style. Though I was raised in New Orleans and actually went to school with many world renown jazz musicians I prefer cocktail (Wynton is likely cringing at this statement - lol). I’m binge watching your channel at present as I’m having to catch up on your work (I just discovered you). All the best from this now Texas transplant - Sandy

There is no such thing as a time frame. Too manyfold are are the factors. Age, discipline, talent, preexisting knowledge, focus etc...
@Steckdoseee5 жыл бұрын
This is a good tutorial no doubt about that but at some point i wish you could make clearer what notes you are playing, cuse at some point i even had to slown down you slow speed again by 50% and still couldnt find out wich keys you where pressing at the same time ...
@ChristianFuchsBlues5 жыл бұрын
Hey Steckdose ( How on earth do I know that you are German...) Did the green keys not help? They are meant for just that. In general there is a limit to slowing down. Cause at one point the piece becomes just too slow to be perceived as a piece, bars and melody becoming too abstract. I hope there werent too many of those moments for you... best und viele Grütze, Christian
