I repent from judging reformed brothers and sisters and preachers. Lord forgive me. This man of God is definitely speaking from the Holy Spirit. May God bless him and all of us believers, that we may dive deeper into the heart and Spirit of God. Lord help us.

Please pray for me for I feel I've been so back and forth on my faith. I ask for God to come in and change me and it's exactly how you said in the sermon.. I crave him and I want him but then I find myself sinning, and I feel awful. I get back up and then fall back down. I try to read the word but then I get discouraged and don't understand. I want Christ so bad yet I doubt that I'm saved way to often... Im ashamed to admit this. There are days where I've felt he's near and I have confidence but I just I don't understand where I'm at. Perhaps I overthink and get caught up in Jesus' verses where he says there will be people who won't make it even when they think they will. Or when he says only few find it..... I don't understand

Don't give up. Keep praying, keep reading, keep trying to not sin. God loves mercy. Don't be too hard on yourself, just believe. He left His helper for us, ask Holy Spirit for guidance. Strengthen your faith at all costs. And you will see things become anew. God bless.

Abraham sinned. David sinned. Joseph sinned. Peter sinned, etc. Ultimately, they never stopped pursuing God's mercy and forgiveness. Judas sinned, but his guilt led him to walk away from Christ not run toward Him.

Oh yes...I'd like to emphasise that while we will never stop sinning in this life, we CAN rest in the Lord, knowing and believing that Jesus is our mediator, because He was fully God and fully man, thus, bridging that gap between us sinful beings and a holy and sinless God. If ever you struggle with unbelief, it happens to me from time to time and I simply ask Him to 'help my unbelief' (Mark 9:24). 🤗

But isn’t the expression of Christ being within me emotion? And emotion isn’t a measure of this reality being true in me? -Some kind of feeling or thought (which can be linked to a feeling either initiating a thought or as a result of a thought)?

You say that thoughts are our hearts, but what if we suffer from intrusive thoughts that we want nothing to do with? What about when the enemy whispers something in our thoughts. Howre we to discern between the two. When do we know we have sinned in our thoughts VS to just rebuke it and move on. Please help. I've been wrestling with this so much
@lifeisbetterwithjesus5 жыл бұрын
Hi. I struggle with mental illness and intrusive confusing thoughts, which I believe are demonic attacks thrown at the mind. I believe if you have prayed for Holy Spirit to guide you, He will help you discern the two. Faith has to be genuine from the heart. Jesus will come and dwell in you, it can take a while to see because we as humans can tend to be impatient at times. And our definition of healing is different than Christ's reasons, He uses the enemy to strengthen your relationship with Him. Seek Him wholeheartedly, and He will direct your paths to know the truth. God bless.

Basically, the devil doesn't want us to repent and move closer to God. Convicting thoughts, on the other hand, lead us to repent and move us closer to Him. This is how you can discern your thoughts.

We are no longer "looking for god", for His Son, Jesus Christ, has come. Acts 17:23-26 - I found also an altar with this inscription, 'To the unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us... (30-31)... The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent, because He has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed; and of this He has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.
