I am undone. 32 years of being an unbelieving believer. It's been revealed to me I am way too similar to Simon than I could ever have imagined. Thank you Ps Tim for telling it how it is, I always dread listening to you but really appreciate the truth, even if I don't know where to go with it. Glory to God for your precious soul Tim. (Edit: 7/22) Believe in(to) Christ (Jn3v16), more than acknowledgement of truth, like Noah entering 'into' the ark, so we believe in (enter into) Christ. Judgement is the flood of Yahweh's righteous wrath, Jesus our ark 'believe in' holds more weight in the Greek. Abide in God's Word. Let's open our eyes brethren, follow Him.

The answer is always the same: repent and believe the Gospel. I remember a good Paul Washer sermon that says just that; it's on IllBeHonest, too (it's called Examine Yourself): "Test yourself in light of Scripture, and IF YOU FALL SHORT OF THE TEST...repent and believe!"

exactly in fact a proper analysis of scripture would be we keep God's laws because he expects us too he loved us first so now we love him by keeping all of his laws to the best of our ability and not for our own glory but to glorify our father who is in heaven

When life is easy ... that's the most dangerous time for me. Dull, safe, friendly days, month after month, and I start to drift. Drifting to be more and more Godless. Dangerous. When persecution/tribulation comes, the choice to leave Christ is stark, and I can't. Thank you to this ministry for making me realise (the last two weeks) that I have things to do! My husband left the church because he says If you say the name Jesus you are calling on Baal, that we need to say only the Hebrew name, and only the spelling that he knows is right. He has persecuted me over this. But I have only Jesus , I cannot turn my back on Him. I cannot leave the church because I know what he says is not true, but he often tells me I am in the wrong, because I am not obeying him as a wife should. It is a hard place to be but what else do I have but Christ! There is nothing else in this world.

Deanne Stalley I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this and that your husband got pulled away from Christ Jesus into the Hebrew Roots/Sacred Name cults. It is such a great tragedy that I have had to witness with my own eyes with people that I know, but I cannot imagine how difficult this is for you as a wife. Be strong in the Lord Deanne. Don’t ever turn your back on Him. The enemy is working through your husband. Somehow he allowed himself to open the door to him and allowed him to enter in. There are many ways this happens and I cannot speak on your particular situation, but I do know that satan does not enter through closed doors or windows. I am going to be praying for you! I am going to be praying for your husband as well. God bless you sister. You are right. All we have is Christ Jesus. Don’t let go of that. God is faithful and will see your through this. Matthew 9:1-8 RSV And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. [2] And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven." [3] And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming." [4] But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? [5] For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise and walk'? [6] But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"-he then said to the paralytic-"Rise, take up your bed and go home." [7] And he rose and went home. [8] When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

Where is "saving faith" mentioned in the bible?
@A.E.Lanman7775 ай бұрын
Hebrews 11:1¶Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3¶Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Gen. 4:1-16; 5:18-24; 6:5-8:22 ) 4¶By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5¶By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7¶By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (Gen. 15:1-6; 21:1-7 ) 8¶By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11¶Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13¶These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (Gen. 22:1-14; 48:8-16; 50:22-25 ) 17¶By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20¶By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21¶By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22¶By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. (Ex. 2:1-10; 12:31-51 ) 23¶By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. 24¶By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27¶By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29¶By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30¶By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. 31By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32¶And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39¶And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Wrong, the bible clearly says in acts 8:13 Simon believed. The narrator of the bible tells us that Simon was saved. End of story. Yet he still needed to repent from his sin, not to be saved but so God wouldn't destroy his life. Christians can still live a life of sin and heres a clear example of that. When we get saved its by believing only. The next step is to obey or God will discipline his children. Tim Conway is nothing but a conman. Galatians 1:8 be acursed with your works gospel!!!!!

Jesse Scranton The truly sad thing is, is that you don’t really know or understand the gospel. The fact that you don’t comprehend the scriptures that explicitly teach and tell you that saving faith unto salvation, “conversion”, being “born again” is not a “mental acknowledgment” of “facts”. Do you even study scripture???
@laurapug53893 жыл бұрын
That verse says Simon" believed" It definitely did not say he was saved and it goes on to show that he tried to offer the apostle's money for the Holy Spirit when he saw the apostle's laying hands on the sick! And the apostle tells him Repent of your wickedness and go on their way. Even the devil believes the truth ...it doesn't mean he saved
@jscranton23 жыл бұрын
@@laurapug5389 the Bible says whosoever believes has everlasting life. The narrator of the Bible tells us Simon believed. You are misunderstanding the scripture. And you are also misquoting James 2 that the devil believes the truth. It says that the devils believe there is one God. The gospel is not to believe there is one god. The gospel is to believe the death burial and resurrection. The devil does not trust in Jesus for salvation.

You make this statement but give zero verses to back it up. Those who come to the Cross are coming to a Cross in which Romans 3:25 says Christ was a propitiation, that is, a wrath removing sacrifice for them. That is terrorizing in itself! There was wrath and anger from God that Christ had to bear?!?! Why?!?! Because God is so Holy, and we are not, and JUST punishment must happen. Either us in hell for eternity, or Christ bearing our punishment in our place. Praise be to God for the Cross and Christ shedding His blood so that we don't have to perish.. I would encourage you to watch this study on hell to understand it as taught from the Bible: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWSzgn-Ym7yCnsk
