Mary eschewed Christianity after a careful study of the Bible. Having faced the wrath of the church for marrying a Hindu, Mary embarked on a journey to understand the root cause behind the anger and resentment of the church. She realized that the exclusive nature of Christianity is what drives the Christian psyche which when opposed or questioned results in strife. An alien religion such as this, sets a stage for strife and disharmony that is detrimental to the social fabric of multi-cultural society such as that of Bharat. Her journey has naturally lead her to embrace Sanaatana Dharma, the way of life of her ancestors. In this talk, she will narrate the events from her personal life that lead her out of Christianity into Sanaatana Dharma

Mary Suresh Iyer is Human Resources Professional with over 20 years experience in the teaching industry in the USA. She authored over 7 text books in Math, Chemistry and English. She runs a coaching center for College entrance exams, and runs two non-denominational childcare centers.
Mary is a member of Indian History Awareness & Research (IHAR) which contributes to developing data based history narratives that Indians can be proud of. Mary has recently re-built a Grama Devata temple in her ancestral village. This temple has been left in ruins due to lack of patronage by Hindus who got converted to Christianity in large numbers in the past 20 years

जी Thank you for the testimony. I had the similar experience. I was born in a Dalit Christian family of Kerala. During my study in Delhi university I faced many confusions. But I had no answer. I felt restless. Went to Kullu in Himachal pradesh. There met some hippi. There I came in contacts with Hindu philosophy face to face. Earlier I had many Hindu friends in college but never interacted with them. Few I interacted they were not having knowledge beyond celebration and worshipping here and there different idols. But when I met hippi along with finest quality of marijuana I was knowing Gita Mahabharata Ramayan Purana Veda vedanta upnishad. Dwaith adwait six school of philosophy yoga vasheshika nyaya charvak and gems of other source of knowledge. I realized my soul. I felt a calm within. Felt like my thirst is quenching. After 6 month of stay I adopted sanatan philosophy. to find new ways to apply my energy and brains instead of listening and learning what was told by others. What a relief and the beginning of a journey on a path creating myself "अहम ब्रह्मस्मि" For each his own. Thank you sister you gave me the courage to share my experience.

I am a Hindu living in US and had evangelists come to our home every Sunday... But we didn’t oppose that. But I actually felt if that is what makes them happy to sing praise of their lord, let them. In my mind though I was thinking, why would they do it for nothing in return in this world and felt pity for them that if their efforts was to convert us, they will be disappointed later for the efforts they were putting in. Even Tamil Christians brought us to their Indian church by telling them that they play volleyball there, which my husband likes to play, and they invited us for a pongal party which they organized. You wd want to believe that they r very broad minded, but now hearing all this I feel their efforts were to convert us😀 I feel sorry for them

This is the first step to convert. Once you give them a space they will occupy every bit of your space. My young niece was at alone at home one day and some evangelists came knocking on the door. It is in NZ where it is safe to allow someone to visit. Those people spoke about religion and how their god was real god etc. my niece being brought up in NZ did not see anything objectionable and let them talk. They asked if the can come again. She said Ok (she was being courteous). They came again and that time my sister returned home. She asked who they were. When they told they were evangelists my sister told them we follow a different religion and we are fine where we are they refused to leave saying “your daughter is interested” . My sister told them to leave immediately and not come again. They insisted that my niece was willing to listen and said “she has a right” . My sister said “this is my house” and I will decide who enters and who doesn’t. Then they left. My sister told her daughter not to be overly courteous with these people. We can politely decline their offers. In India some guy came to my home one day. I had to threaten him and forced him to go out and not come again.

Really an eye opener for someone like me, born and brought up in a Hindu family. The happiest days in my life were the childhood days, college days and early part of my career. I am so lucky in that sense. There was no pressure of religion. There was no one telling me that I should go to a place of worship on a particular day of the week and follow strictly the rituals. It was all left to me. No one (especially my parents and close family members) told me to hate someone from a different religion or different background. The Hindu festivals were a joy and every child will be happy to be a part of it. The poison of conversion is spoiling our cultural beliefs. I know at least 2 people who got converted to Christianity. Both were from poorer background. I don't know what were the inducements. Thanks for enlightening us. Also appreciate the efforts for the contribution you have made in bringing to light the dark side of the Church.

I don't understand where it is said that family is hating its member for being a christian. Anyways, I don't even think that Yahweh is anything more than a tribal God of Israelites. He has nothing to do with any other part of the world like India. He himself says it in the Bible. See *Exodus 29: 45-46* "I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God". I can understand that a God meant for such a violent area has to be itself very violent. So if he is saying, "hate your family", it is not surprising.

When a guy converts to christianity, it is most often *he* that begins hating his family for being 'demon-worshippers' or 'idolators' rather than the other way around. you will notice that the hindu family members of the convert will treat him like before only- like a son, or a brother or father etc.. It is rarely the case that a Hindu family will hate their member for going to church or having a nice opinion about christ or celebrating chritmas. but it is the converted guy who is always pushing his family to leave hinduism (& many of the converts actually start abusing the Hindu gods & goddesses who are worshipped by his mother and father) and obviously there is resistance to that from the family. seeing this resistance, the converted fellow begins to hate his family and this hate becomes stronger when he reads a gospel like *Luke **14:25**-26* where Jesus, the son of God himself is commanding him to have hate for his family inorder to become a true follower. and the missionaries and pastors actually encourage this hate because they fear that the guy may stop being a christian if he is attached to his Hindu family. This is how families break. So, I think you are confused about this gospel. But Yahweh and Jesus are pretty clear- they want to break families.

I was born in Christian family. I became an orphan at 11yrs. Old. Converted to Islam, sunni, turn Shia at age 26, and at 29 I've been blessed with Sanatan Dharma and been part ❤ of it ever since. I will die as a Hindu. As I am in love with Shiva and Sri Vidya 🙏. With all due Respect, I find it strange that yur father was becoming like a pastor and yet yur mother was not obligated to be at church with him, as all church goers know that the pastors wife is always at church in the front row. Surely they were wondering where is his wife. Are yu certain that he was working in church and not really having affair with other women while yur mother was always home with yu kids??? With all due Respect, this is not an uncommon situation. I would not be so fast to assume my father was being a church goer while being affar so often for so long while home alone with mother. I was educated in a convent school and lived 20 years in the gulf amongst Muslims. Only now at the age of 64 years, do I realize what tragic life's our ancestors have gone through. My parents and I as a parent, and the educational curriculum adopted by the government in India then, did not build us into sound and confident of our proud roots. Christian converters visited one of my Family friends to casually talk about 'their god'. She was alone at home, and she did not object to it, as she didn't know what to do at the moment. Your account of your life is deeply appreciated! It is a familiar story here in South Africa with the conversions causing deep rifts in families. My own family who are predominantly Christian now, have become estranged from me and the segment of my family who are Hindus. This estrangement occurred because the Christian segment regard the Hindu family as evil and sinners and have no respect for our Hindu Practises. My brother became a pastor and his wife even stopped wearing Sarees. I gave my sister in law a customary gift of a sari and it was promptly sent back to to me with a note. They do not even enter my home any more. For me the greatest pain is the fact that I am the eldest brother in a Tamil family. I am over the sadness and pain. It is what it is. All things happen for a reason.

the beauty of sanathana dharma is that you are always a seeker, and may try different philosophical paths - as long as you do your karma and follow the dhaarmic path (nothing to do with religion - your conscience will tell you what your dharma is), you are fine and evolve towards moksha (liberation) - the concept of 'religion' does not even creep in. Very good talk to understand the difficult journey. One of the best books I have read to understand the nature of Christianity is Catherine Nixey's 'The Darkening Age'. I felt deeply disturbed for weeks after reading the book. The Romans could not survive the Christian onslaught and we are struggling to survive. Hopefully the message from people like you will reach the masses to make them realize the dangers of this dangerous cult.
