Okay so let me explain the "Cool With You" MV with Side A & B. It's basically a modern version of Eros(Cupid) Psyche, and Venus(Aphrodite). Before I start, the girl from Squid Game (Hoyeon) is Eros, her love interest is Psyche, and the old guy at the end of Side B is Venus. Also, keep it in mind that Psyche is mortal while Eros and Venus are immortal. Furthermore and this is referring to the original story, Aphrodite is so jealous of Psyche's beauty that she send her son, Cupid, on a mission to go pierce the heart of Psyche and make him fall in love with a creature or an unworthy person. Now In Side A, Cupid's job is to make others find their love interests and fall in love but she ended up falling in love with a mortal herself, which is Psyche. The two individuals in the painting are Cupid and Psyche and that scene also shows their role, the girl being Cupid and the guy being the person that's laying on the bed, which is Psyche. Her interest is Psyche is what causes everything to go completely left. After she started having feelings for Psyche, the couple that she set up together in the elevator of side A broke up in that one seen where she sits at the cafe after the whole incident , her powers are lessening. At the end of Side A, her standing in the rain is somewhat a sybolization of Cupid scratching or piercing herself with her own arrow and pleading to be human so she can fall in love. She's able to feel the rain touch her skin, symbolizing that her wish came true. Now Side B is a continuation, she is human, he is now able to see her, and they fall in love and date. Fast forward to the street scene, the guy that shows up behind her boyfriend is Aphrodite. Aphrodite finds out as to why things were messing up and decided to correct it, turning Cupid back into their original state and basically erases her human status. Additionally, making Psyche fall in love with the girl walking behind Cupid and that's the end. Now where does NewJeans play in all of this? they are Cupid's guardian angels to make sure that cupid is doing her job and everything is going accordingly, hence why they are the only ones able to see her throughout the entirety of the MV. (Sorry the explanation is so long but I hope that this helped❤❤❤❤❤)

I also want to add that in addition to the surface level storyline, the director also weaves in some social commentary. One is the continuation of the idol-fan dynamic that he had as a theme in Ditto, which is a nice touch. Then, we have the representation of the interracial couple. It's just amazing how the director manages to imbue all these different meanings into the MV depending on how you view it.

Cool with you story continue at ASAP , because 5 Angel help cupid to transform as human to feel love, Tony Leung the higer level Angel foud them ruin the system, and Cupid complain the 5 angel at Get up, they tell the cupid "I don't wanna fight your shadow " 5 of them trying to calm cupid down, end up 5 of them get punished become 5 fairy that living in jungle , at Jungel they living happy togather with Bunny ......this is why at ETA we can see they have butterfly wings, at ETA the 5 fairy always protect people in love , they will punish who ever cheated in love, as we can see some time they become gas station mechanic, police women etc .

Cool with You Explanation : its a metaphor eluding to the story of cupid (hoyeon), the psyche (micol), and venus (tony). this is the painting of love and psyche they were looking at in the beginning. newjeans are her guardian angels i believe, because they are the only ones that can see her. hoyeon is cupid, her job is making people fall in love. but she fel in love with a human- micol. and she abandons her job and just follows him around hopelessly. he can't see her, no humans can see her. (when she looks at the mirror, she has no reflection). at the end of side a, where she takes her clothing off in the rain and looks up at sky, it symbolizes her asking to become human, her own way of striking herself with cupid's arrow. side b picks off where side a ends, she is now human and we can see that because yes her clothes are different, and people can now see her- micol can see her. they start falling in love throughout side b. at the end, tony (venus/ aphrodite) takes revenge by making hoyeon into a cupid again- thus nullifying her human status meaning micol can't see her and he forgets about the time they shared. ultimately, tony made him fall in love with someone else (that girl on the street) because she disobeyed her job as cupid its such a heartbreakingly beautiful music video, with a deep meaning and a retelling of mythology. everyone wants love and deserves love, whether they are human or otherworldly deity/being❤️
