I was not expecting to like the dark color as much as I did! The finish made it turn out beautifully. I'm currently working on a large hutch myself using buttercream from dixie belle paint but have struggled with choosing a finish. I need something that is very durable and the last thing I want is for chipping after I have worked so hard! I absolutely loved how that top coat turned out and went on nicely so I think I have found the one. Thank you so much for your amazing videos and they have helped me a lot on this journey of painting such a large piece and helped when I didn't know where to start 😊

Love it Christina! Midnight Sky is a gorgeous color. I am delighted to see that the farmhouse style is going away. You have created a beautiful fresh new look! Great job. Oh and by the way, we watched your video on how to create a mold to replace 2 feet on a table. It came out great. All the feet look uniform! I actually also used Dixie Belle Midnight Sky as my under color on the table and then dry brushed a blue over the top.

Christina, I painted my buffet and hutch aged grey with the white-wash technique as you did in your tutorial video. I also took out all of the glass same as you. I have been removing all the grey from my home and bringing some warmth back into it. I am so excited and cannot wait for your updated hutch video! I have been searching all over You tube for some creative ideas to update it. As I have commented previously, you were the FIRST video I had ever seen to chalk paint furniture. You inspired me so greatly that the hutch makeover was my very first project ever. My family thought I was crazy. I have since painted like a mad woman every piece of furniture I can in my house.
