I own everyone of your albums. In the 90's, you were a breath of fresh air and set yourselves apart from alot of the same driven sound of CCM. Like Steve Camp and Keith Green once said CCM music is going down a road that dilutes Christian music in a bad way. The lyrics of your songs were of such great quality and spoke to people unlike todays CCM. There are some good songs but not like it used to be and CCM and the labels do a horrible job of keeping the older music relevant. No radio stations, that play anything 70's through the 90's. No Sirius station, nothing. Glad you guys are still around. I wished your songs were still on the radio. God Bless.

Reflecting back to the 90's when I first heard your music, I never imagined being able to tell you how much your music meant to me like I can here. I'm still listening to your music today while I'm at work, or in my car. The depth of your lyrical writing is what drew me in, as well as, the beautiful melodies, harmonies, and awesome guitar playing! One of my many favorites of yours is "The Weight Of The Words". The chorus is just so beautifully written... "Oh, the weight of the words can crush you, they can break you, or they can heal or they can take you to the throne of grace. Yeah, the weight of the words will lead you like a beacon, when your strength is finally beaten by the weight of the words". Amen💞

@@christinedente7103 One song in particular, Leave The Light On, touched me so deep not just because of the yearning for Yeshua Messiah's imminent return. As a man of faith who has faced many tribulations alone this Light became a beacon for the lost and searching for the torments of the soul...I have lights on at home with the intent that His Light shines to draw others near while expelling darkness. I don’t know if you’ll see this comment 2yrs down the road, but I was just traveling yesterday with my 18 year old daughter who had a “vintage” Wow Worship CD from 1998. I asked if Out of the Grey was on it (and you were) which launched into an OOTG journey as we drove through Tennessee. She absolutely loved it! Your music style, sincerity and real life lyrics hit my daughter’s heart and touched a new generation. In the early 90s I helped get you two settled into your backstage space for a concert at Bryan College in Dayton TN. I then sat in the balcony and listened to you rehearse. To this day I still can hear that beat hit at the end of The Deep. I was so moved. You two were such a distinct part of my life back then - such an influence. I joked with my daughter that if CDs could be worn out I would have worn out my Out of the Grey ones! I just wanted to share that with you and Scott and say thank you. Now I get to share your heart and music with my kids which will point them to Jesus in the same real, relational way you did for me years ago (and still do today).

“We never got to Paris” has been our song since we first heard it way back in the day. We are still married with 5 kids and serving in ministry and if we never get to Paris I know it will be OK. ❤️

First heard you, live, at SCC's Great Adventure Tour in Macon, GA. You were the show topper - so much passion, strong vocal and great lyrics. What a blast you were in CCM, and how I wish those soaring days continued. Blessings, gang.

@@christinedente7103 Wow - time does fly, especially when viewing through the lens of one's children, and, then, grandchildren. Any of these musically inclined like mom and dad? We had several very good musicians among our children and grands, but they definitely didn't inherit from us! There was something very beautiful, driven and pure about your 90s music, and it helped take the edge off so much chaos in society - and helped us see God's punctuation mark, most clearly. What's life like after the limelight has faded, and applause has quieted? Tell Scott that I immediately thought of his guitar playing the first time I saw Mike Dawes on KZbin; maybe Scott was an early inspiration for many musicians. May God continue to inspire you to create, to fulfill purpose and encourage others to find His path, too. Blessings, All.
