I just wanted to let you know that I did start taking plexus for my menopause symptoms and hot flashes. I do several of the products and the pink drink and I can 100% say that it has reduced this symptoms by over 75%. My energy is higher. My food cravings are lower. My sleeping is better. My gut health is amazing. My skin and hair is better. My mental health and balance has been huge improvement and I do not have nearly the hot flashes, dryness or lack of drive. I will swear that I believe this is a holistic way of feeling that positive vibe and reducing menopause symptoms. I also have told many friends they have purchased and are feeling much better! So maybe she’s just telling people because she genuinely does feel better. I know I do and I tell people! just my two cents.

Women can be perimenopausal for several years before they actually hit menopause, & the symptoms in perimenopause can be the same for menopause. The age all this happens varies from woman to woman & strongly correlated w/ what a person’s mom & grandma experienced. So, age 45 doesn’t mean talks about menopause don’t apply. The average age of menopause is 50, & perimenopause can start 7-10 yrs before that. That means any woman in her 40’s can be impacted. There’s so much misinformation & lack of information on peri, menopause, & post. That’s because the US has done a poor job in researching this period in a woman’s life, exploring treatments to help our bodies feel & look better, & educating women. Thankfully, that’s starting to change & we now have OB/GYN’s who are specializing in all things menopause & there’s a professional organization of menopause specialists across the US. There’s many more options for addressing symptoms & our body changes that cause pain or other discomforts. I wouldn’t say Plexus would be one of those treatments.🤦🏻‍♀️

@@PaulaMaloney-s3z Katie has never expected us to take her at face value she has always just told us what she has found out and left it to us to take it or leave it as we see fit. Maybe you can only live from what people tell you on KZbin but a lot of us have a working brain and we can check her facts if we want to. Cults are very damaging to people and families but never would I just took what others say about them if I thought it was untrue. I guess I grew up in a world where we had to think for ourselves and were not brainwashed into thinking everything people report on KZbin etc was fact. I have found though that’s what Katie tells us in as near to the truth as possible that is why I watch her channel. I also watch many others reporting on cults and these are mature people who have lived the life and had to escape from that life because they were not allowed to just walk out the door so I understand just how bad the people running these cults are. These sister wives are snatching at straws now to make a living that I feel very sorry for them and they have been lying most of their lives so it now comes easy to them. These woman are in no position to be giving advice on anything because they have never lived in the real world but when you are desperate to earn money you will try anything. Whether you take that advice depends on if you are a thinking person or just a very easily led person. Katie in her videos is trying to speak to the easily led people so they don’t through away their money because they feel sorry for these women or think they know what they are talking about. If you can’t think for yourself and see that, maybe you are on the wrong channel. From Australia

I work in medicine. While she isn't completely wrong about the gut-brain connection, it's far more nuanced than her understanding. You should not add supplements without discussing it with your doctor, as they can interact with prescribed medication and you definitely shouldn't go off meds without a medically approved titration plan. I'm all for appropriate natural remedies but the reality is that menopause symptoms usually require actual medical treatment, if treatment is desired. I declined to do so, but I understood what I was doing and fully support women who choose to medically treat the symptoms. They aren't fun, for sure.

If you work in 'medicine', you should understand that a medication that is considered 'optional' by a physician is generally for symptom control so there's nothing dangerous if a natural remedy controls your symptoms. The concern about natural remedies is that they're ineffective.

I agree. I was diagnosed with a killer cancer this year, and my Oncologists have told me to come off of some of my non-medical extras (ie vitamins & minerals), because they'll harm me as I go through cancer treatment. I was shocked. I've been in the same meds for years, and now my meds are all in flux, as things are added (even if temporarily) and taken away. I've even got my longest med out "on hold". I didn't know that vitamins & minerals can interfere with other things. So, I'm glad I'd added those "extras" on my Medications List that I provide to my specialists. Also, the hospital won't allow me to take any vitamins & minerals at all when in their care. This shocked me. So Christine is definitely wrong, that's for sure. She should be very careful with the medical advice she is giving as a non-medical salesperson to strangers / the public.

I have seen people who desperately need to be on meds and REFUSE to take them (due to their own beliefs in big pharma/profits/addiction to meds, addiction to street drugs, being misdiagnosed and on meds not needed, or the wrong meds overall). I have also seen people that HATED what the perscription meds were doing to their bodies and worked hard to change their lifestyles (therapy, diets, working out, taking supplements, ect) to stay off of pharmaceuticals for their medical diagnosis. They got their mental health clear and stable enough to return to work/school, all with the guidance of their drs and mental health providers. It solely depends on the person, their diagnosis and the treatments that work for that specific individual. I personally know a woman who had a diagnosis of depression, hyperthyroidism, and fibroids, and arthritis in her spine. She was in a ton of pain DAILY, which made the depression worse. Her Dr.'s had her on opioids, muscle relaxers, gabapentin for her nerves/pain, anti-depressants (2 seperate because 1 wasn't enough), and ibuprofen (800 mg). She worked hard to get OFF all her medications- she joined a gym and had a vigorous work out routine, got into some counseling for her past trauma, started taking a more holistic approach with supplements and even changed her diet (she's now a vegetarian and cut out gluten), overall, she is 60lbs lighter, off all pharmaceutical medicines, and feeling amazing. She has fully healed from all her past traumas to where her depression is gone. I can't say mental health is only treated by taking depression meds that are perscribed by a Dr. There are many ways to combat mental health as long as the person is willing to do the work. As for Christine and Plexus, I seen she gave her opinion on the messages about her being passionate about the products she takes and sells. She also said to talk to your doctor about getting off the meds or taking both the products and meds. It will be on the person who may want to purchase Plexus to decide what may or may not work for them. I am sure Christine gets hundreds of messages just like KJ's, as many fans follow her. Those could be automated msgs responding.

I am not saying it is right, but there is a reason mlm’s are so popular in Utah. Gullibility is a thing!

Oh FFS .... these people are SO f***ing predatory. Every - single - one - of - the - "parents." I really feel for those poor children in that family, there's no WAY for them to have proper "guidance" or blueprints for a "normal," happy life within their family - at least from the parents (or, probably the grandparents, aunts and uncles or older siblings as well). Christine may be the least distasteful of the 5 parents, but she STILL lived in the polygamous cult her entire life. Her "normal" isn't normal. I'm not saying that there is one way to live a healthy and productive life, but the way this whole family has lived is obviously not all that.

In all fairness, there have been many times that I get a private message on FB messenger and it “appears” to be someone I actually know and they start talking about this product or that product and I’ll message back a couple basic questions and it becomes very obvious that it isn’t the person I know but either a bot or a scammer that has mirrored or whatever they do to make it look like the real person I know so maybe that’s what’s happening here? Katie, thank you for sharing your experiences and making this very informative and frank video. I think it might be one of the most important videos you’ve posted. Supplements have their place, but never in lieu of professional medical care. I’m a mental health professional and it is dangerous when any “supplement” is suggested for use by anyone other than a licensed health provider. Claims of supplements often are loosely based in some facts. In this case, the gut IS responsible for inflammation and immune responses. (Not the brain, as you pointed out.) As you said, it’s critical that supplements are discussed with an individual’s health care providers. They will be able to tell you if a supplement could be beneficial, harmful, or otherwise. I really appreciate your work on this important topic!

Look, I’m not saying what she’s doing is right, but it is our responsibility to research, talk to doctors, etc before trying things like this. She is not a doctor, hasn’t claimed to a doctor, she flat out said FDA won’t approve them. She selling a crap product like a lot of people out there trying to make a quick buck, but it isn’t her fault if you blindly follow someone like this. She hasn’t claimed to be a doctor or anything like that, she is sharing her experience or stuff like that. She’s just peddling her product, not telling you to ignore your doc. Just went onto the Plexus website for the first time. Didn't see anything weird, illegal, or morally wrong. Mostly, what they sell are well products, supplements, and skincare products. These are similar ingredients I would find at a vitamin or supplement store. They are a little out of my price range, but a legit business. Christine did seem to go outside of their training bylaws for selling, indicating you could reduce medication in favor of their products, but that is on her, not them. She was baited in the depression chat. The company clearly states results vary from person to person, and their products are not intended to cure any diseases. Supplements are use at your own risk and some are very helpful. Ingredients are listed, do Internet research before ingesting anything, including FDA approved medications. Be well. ❤

No they don't. Individuals need to do research! We should have freedom to choose. If you haven't noticed, so many FDA approved drugs are the subject of massive class action lawsuits down the road. They are not infallible and should not be blindly trusted either. I do think MLMs as a valid business structure should be shut down because they are scams in terms of income generation. Why doesn't the government shut them down?? They all work the same regardless of product.
