At the end of our lives, when we look back on all the hours and days given to us, and the responsibilities God gave to us, we want to be able to say, "I chose wisely. I did what was right in light of my family obligations, and my obligations to Christ and His church. I did what was right so as to be able to fulfill those things rather than the satisfaction of my flesh."
Enjoy session 3 of 5 from our #GraceAgenda 2021 Men's Pre-conference Seminar, 'Man Your Post.' You can find all of the sessions from this seminar in our app: bit.ly/christk....
The last several years Christ Church has tried an experiment in grace and has not charged for the Grace Agenda conference. In keeping with this spirit of grace, we are accepting free will donations at www.graceagend....

I was there for this in person. It was a great blessing to hear it then, and two years later it is still very helpful. Thank you Pastor White!

Even though I am a little older then Dr. (Pastor) White, I have looked "up" to him for much Biblical wisdom for quite some time now. And this presentation was as pastoral and uplifting as any that I have heard in my 62 years of life. He has convicted me, in my complacenty, many times, and this presentation was no exception. Particularly humbling was his narrative towards the end of his presentation of the heroic janitor...it brought a tear to my eye. God bless you, sir, and give you strength in the conviction of the Lord, Christ Jesus, in the coming days of challenge. Maranatha!

Question As a new believer in my savior Christ, I wanted to know if just simply working hard as to what the Lord has called me to do is pleasing to him? Because I know the true work of God is to preach his gospel to the world, so far I have only preached to my family

John 6:29 (NASB) This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” As a new believer, let me as an "old" believer offer something. After 35 years walking in light and many years in foolishness, it is apparent that the primary order of things is to know him - love him, as we are known and loved. We are reconciled to God through His Son. The preaching of the Gospel is a message of reconciliation. Nothing takes priority over knowing Him. Loving God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength. But what that actually means in reality will be the journey. Every jot and tittle of the word of God gives you insight and understanding and though it is clear, you will be led astray lest you are in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Remember, that. Love God and love others according to the only standard of faith and practice - the only truth, the scriptures, old and new testaments. The Word of Yahweh. Repent and believe and keep on repenting and believing. Works are not gaining you salvation, they are evidence and gratitude for your justification. Romans 5 and James 2. Read John 6 and never stop pining it until you can say you understand everything about it. Then move on to every other passage. Romans and John. The same approach. Blessings and peace to all who are known by Christ Jesus.

@@bridegroomministries1212 thank for this & I will definitely re-read this books, I have before but I’ve come to realize that reading the word never ends, it’s always fresh for me I guess my next question is if I’m working as in doing the physical act, am I glorifying God at my job. I am a union Glazier so if I’m setting glass on a high rise, am I glorifying God through my work? Reason I ask is because my father in law who’s a plumber and fellow Christian told me he tries to glorify God everyday by working hard with his hands

@@jonathanaldana4941 First, what the other commenter said is really wise and good! Secondly to your second question, yes brother you are glorifying God with your vocation provided you are doing it as unto him with a joyful spirit and while honoring your employer (not stealing time or resources or gossiping etc)-even if he/she/they are harsh towards you as an employee (see Ephesians 6). As Dr White articulates in this message your specific vocation (laying glass) is not the “calling” that scripture is speaking to. Ultimately biblical calling is speaking to us being called to be children of God. You are no longer your own-but belong to Christ. So, therefore, honor Christ in your words, actions, and thoughts. Routinely confess and repent of sin and lead your family in that practice. Pursue competence in handling the word of God by reading and studying and don’t be afraid to wrestle with the hard passages (there is an excitement when God grants you understanding if you don’t give up on it :). Take your family along with you in that process and be sure you are being led by biblically qualified elders in your local body. Hope this is helpful brother! Steady forward christian!
