At first I thought they didn’t seem that bad. But after finding out you paid over £300 for literally ONE NIGHT! It’s absolutely awful. The edited photos just prove your point. The owners clearly know their b&bs are awful if they have to go out of their way to EDIT THE PHOTOS😭😭😭 I would’ve left aswell! I think it would just be better to leave early in the morning. Spend the day there. And leave late evening honestly.

Nope i get your views 100%. They were dirty. The place we stayed in blackpool looked ok on trip advisor but the rooms were so small in reality. Not very nice. I am gutted for you driving all that way for nothing. Still as they say thats life. Hope you enjpy staying with your friends. Hope you get fully refunded. Me too I’m from Birmingham and sad they had that experience with the houses! I’m not sure on what area of Birmingham you were staying in but some are definitely better than others! You should look at staying in the nicer areas such as Harborne, Bromsgrove or Solihull. You would have to drive in the centre then or you can catch the train 👍
